Review Black Rabbit Pizza - Kaikoura

Pizza was decent, my kid liked the herbivore pizza and we also had the butter chicken was quite unique? But maybe I would stick with the standard pizzas. Service was quick and good that said, staff working round the clock to meet the orders

Came on for dinner on a steady Saturday night, great atmosphere, food was coming out quickly, service was excellent, we had a good selection of pizza, burger and lasagna, will definitely be back next time we are in kaikoira

Quite nice decoration in restaurant, we had few pizzas I ordered carnivorous which was guite good just the vase is very thin and you feel like is more tortilla base than dough. Vegetarian pizza (wedge) was quite spicy so be careful what you are ordering.Very good draught local beer was big highlight.

Excellent gluten free pizza, good service and well worth a visit. Also have GF IPA 🍺!

Wow! This place was exceptional. Absolutely loaded gourmet pizzas using the freshest ingredients, with a huge range to suit everybody. My mum proclaimed her vegorama pizza as "the best pizza" she has ever had in her life (pretty big call!) Great daiy free/vegan options, including dairy free cheese, sour cream and basil pesto. Also highly recommend their frozen cocktails as an extra treat!

Came here for dinner and the food was amazing. Tried meat lovers, aloha and the black rabbit (in the picture), all were great. The garlic bread is a must try, absolutely fantastic. The service was also very good. Only slight downside is the relatively long waiting time, but it is still reasonable and understandable. Overall, a great pizza place!

I’m sure I’ve been here a few years ago but I don’t remember it being this good! I had pepperoni pizza, Greek salad and fries which were all so delicious, I managed to eat way more than I thought I could! The service was great, I thought the new menu was really nice and it didn’t take long for the food to arrive. I almost forgot to take a photo I just had to dig in. I’ll definitely be back ..

Ordered pizzas over the phone and they were delicious! Delivered two pizzas in under 30 minutes. Lady over the phone was super helpful and friendly too sorry I didn’t manage to catch your name! Ordered the peri peri prawn and the aloha for about 50 over NZD. Worth it! Was too good so I only remembered to snap a pic after we dug in

We ordered delivery. The Epic Cheese Burger and the Pepperoni Pizza. Food came pretty quick. Nothing super special, but the right thing for a lazy rainy day at home. The pizza was a little bit too thin and could have been less oily. The burger was good.

Finally Italian styled pizza in New Zealand!!!! Super yummy thin bases, luxurious toppings and tip top service! Thanks Black Rabbit, we may have to make the 2 hour drive more often, it was definitely worth it!

Great pizzeria! Large choice of pizza, cosy atmosphere, the lady is super nice and helpful. We had the half/half pizza, for an extra 3$ you can try 2 differents recipes which was great! Thanks 😊

Stumbled upon this place as we are staying nearby for doplhin watch, located beside an Indian eatery. Absolutely amazing pizzas, highly recommend the Roo and Carnivore. Had dine in for a pizza and takeaway for the other, both are made fresh and piping hot. Friendly and approachable staff, had a pleasant conversation with the owner. Recommend The Black Rabbit for good pizza! Oh and another plus point for the hot sauce in house. It's good I went spotting it at the supermarket.

The pizza was okay but nothing special. But its a very kind little restaurant which is really nice. Also the waitresses are really friendly. If you like pizza and you are in Kaikoura you should good there.

Great little place! Probably the best eat you could find in Kaikoura, we were so impressed by the quality and freshness of the pizza, salad and garlic bread we ordered at very reasonable prices! I loved the chicken salad, it was delicious and seasoned so well (surprising because my experience with small town salads has been quite bland). The pizza we ordered half'n'half to try 2 different flavours:a meatlovers and a apricot chicken and both were delicious in different ways. Pizza base thin and crispy but sturdy enough to hold allll the meat, cheese and sauce. Perfect. The fresh, cheesey garlic bread was a winner as well. The only downside was outdoor seating was limited to 2-3 tables. It was a very hot day and we were lucky to grab the last tiny outdoor table, it was also a bit loose and wonky so we fixed it and stablized it with some nearby bottle caps. Also the cocktails sound really nice on the menu, but the bartender of the day definitely needs some more experience to balance out the sweet / sour / liquor / mixer ratio. But knowing how flat out they were over the busy New Years holiday period, very impressed with how quickly we got our food. Thank you for an excellent meal.

The best pizza I have ever tried.. if I could give 10 stars I would! Had the kangaroo one it was delicious!!!! Best service as well the girl at the front was amazing the place was extremely busy but she was great taking phone orders and serving tables etc.. Ill come back to Kaikoura to have pizza and the great experience at the Black Rabbit again!!

From the nondescript exterior of the place we weren't expecting too much, but we just had an Italiano pizza and it was honestly the best pizza we have had anywhere in the world! It is a must visit for pizza lovers.

Good pizza but the worst service I've ever had!! First time I went was told at 6.30pm that they were out of large pizza bases. At 6.30pm!! On a long weekend! Then the 40min wait turned into an hour and a bit! Then tonight (another long weekend) they are just not answering the phone! Sort. it. out! Long weekends. Need more staff!! Simple!
