King Tide Eatery - Kaikoura - Photo album

King tide was a lovely experience tonight for dinner . There is an amazing view out to the ocean . With friendly and helpful staff . They help getting my father in and out of the restaurant and opening the car door as he has limited mobility . The lamb shanks were yummy and filling. Very clean and l
Wonderful meal. Food was delicious and our youngest (7) loved the salt and pepper squid. Burgers were excellent. Staff were very friendly and quick service. Family friendly and booth seating was great. Sea views were a bonus and being on a level above the road meant you did not have traffic in the w
The food we got was yummy, quite expensive though. Like blue cod isn't worth $34.50 in my opinion.. service was good. Wait was a little while but was pretty busy so that's understandable.
Just had a lovely dinner here, shared a Salt and Pepper squid then we had the Lamb Shanks and the Orange roughy which were both excellent. Good choice of beers including alcohol free option. The staff are great, super helpful and friendly, will definitely visit again next time we come to Kaikoura.
Nice and friendly staff. Good food presentation and delicious. Love it
A really nice place to eat. The staff were amazing with such good service. Seafood chowder was just yum. Finished with a lime cheesecake. 👍
A great spot with a fantastic view. It's a little way along from the main drag of Kaikoura, but that's kind of a good thing in my opinion. Just one fella on front of house and he was handling it well, not much conversation but efficient and helpful. We didn't go nuts with ordering food, just snacks
The Orange roughy with veggies (carrots, parsnips, broccoli, mushrooms and potato) was very good as was the pesto and cheese flat bread. Service was friendly, and the view was excellent. The atmosphere was pretty casual.
Absolutely lovely staff. Fantastic gutlen free food and coffee. The atmosphere and environment was spot on. Just a lovely wee place definitely worth the stop and would pop in again. I would definitely recommend.
Excellent food and service. The Tide Burger was one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had. The fish of the day (presented beautifully) and seafood chowder were also excellent.
Great burger with views overlooking the bay. Picked The King burger, it’s loaded with onion rings, bacon and a generous beef paddy. Also comes with strings fry’s. Service was great even with only one wait person on duty..
So good we went twice. The view is tremendous, and staff friendly and efficient. The blue cod and chips were excellent, the ribs were excellent.
I stopped here for lunch on my way to Picton. I ordered the seafood chowder, sorry to say this, but it was not the best. It was luke warm and gloopy, the pieces of seafood were too big and had gone rubbery. I did mention this, and it was taken away to remerdy. When returned, it was a bit better cons
Cannot fault this establishment. We were greeted by staff as we entered and seated immediately. Would rate them 5 ⭐ service. Staff are well presented and extremely efficient. Had fish and chips as a main meal. Large meal, well presented and worth the price.
The young blond lady and the duty manager were exceptional good service the drinks were good. The only problem was the table outside were complaining at the staff about something that was very babyish and were very rude to the staff.
I really wanted to give this place a 5 and it's one of those situations where I hope they read this review and make a minor change to make it great. The food was mostly great apart from the kids honey chicken. The coating on that was disappointing, spicy and not suitable for a 5 year old. Was expect
