Review Karikari Estate - Kaitaia

Lovely winery. Very good food options and for a tropical location the wine is not too bad, recommend the voignier. Food was very good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking.

We only drove in while passing through here. So not a comprehensive review. If you don't have much time, definitely just drive up to the top and take the view in. When we were there in February all the flowers and roses were out so it looked lovely. There had been a wedding on so the place was closed for lunch but does make a great spot on a lovely day to enjoy a wine with food. If you are staying at Peppers or Carrington Estate this place should be on your list to see.

This is an excellent destination restaurant. The grounds and views are just stunning - perfect for a platter and a drink at sunset. It's a great way to spend a warm evening in summer.

Stunning views, food great large portions coffee a little on the tepid side would have been five stars if it had been a little hotter šŸ˜ƒ

Wine tour was outstanding, Alan was super knowledgeable, and cellar was worth booking on it's own. Restaurant is gorgeous and the view is spectacular. Whole experience was faultless.

Not sure if I'm writing about the restaurant at Carrington Resort or just along the road at the winery and Cafe at Carrington Estate. Didn't know about the latter, so had a delicious lunch at the restaurant followed by dessert and a wine purchase from the Winery and Cafe! Both stunning.

We had a great lunch here. The negative reviews recently almost put us off but we had a good experience. Good food, wine and a stunning view.

Karikari Estate, as a result of allowing a dog friendly environment is a lovely serene place to frequent; By frequent, because I regularly visit the place I have found it welcoming and a truly beautiful place to eat, meet friends for lunch, walk my dogšŸ‘and generally take in the outside countryside as a bonus. A out-of-the-way hotspot to visitā¤ļø

Loved this little gem in the Far North. Wine tasting is free if you buy from the cellar. Paris gave us our tasting and she was lovely. Ate at the cafe after the tasting and had the calamari which was amazing! Thanks for a wonderful day guys!

We almost didnā€™t come here because of the recent reviews, but honestly it was lovely. The staff were young yes, but very friendly and our service was quick, food was perfectly yum. At the end of the day this winery has some of the most amazing views of anywhere in Northland, even if you just come for one glass of wine and to see the grounds, itā€™s 100% worth it and Iā€™d recommend.

Awesome location with the most amazing panoramic views. Standard fare such as pizzas, pasta, burger, fish and chips, thai beef salad and seafood (not fine dining) but meals were done well and we all enjoyed what we ordered. Pizzas were tasty with crispy bases. Service was good but informal, no issue getting a table without a reservation (lunchtime on a weekday) and drinks and meals served reasonably quickly. All in all an enjoyable experience.
