Review Waterfront - Kaiteriteri

My wife and I had our lunch there today. Fantastic service from the staff...made us feel really welcome...the meal itself was awesome....her in doors had the fish n chips and I had the bbq spare ribs...well presented, beautifully cooked and definitely going back....I must say to cap it off Cassels milk stout on tap..10 out of 10

We had a nice stop in for lunch here as it’s the only place open in the middle of the day in winter. It’s right across from the beach with beautiful views over looking the water. There was lots of seating both inside and out. The wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli were quite good, and it was actually a massive bowl! There was a vegetarian pie option (possibly vegan but I’m not sure) No table service There is wifi as well which is nice!

We loved this place! We were a bit skeptical after reading some negative reviews - but we were blown away! Our food arrived quickly - despite the place being pretty full. We absolutely loved our Thai pork salad (tasty and light) and aubergine salad (incrediblely flavourful and filling). The wine was gorgeous too. View was beautiful. We will definitely be back!

We were absolutely famished by the time we got to this cafe. It was a wet and cold day so we were looking forward to be in indoors. We were very promptly seated beside a nice window looking out to the beach. We ordered a salmon dish and the ubiquitous fish and chips. We asked the waitress to make sure the salmon was a medium rare and we were not disappointed. The food was yummy and the coffee was good. The icing on the cake was the fantastic service we received, hence the 5 stars.

So often in small places you choose a place to eat as there is no where else and the experience can be forgettable. Well, our experience 2 nights ago was the exact opposite. The atmosphere on a wintry night was just so welcoming with a roaring fire. The menu was not extensive, but with a selection that appealed to all 3 of us. And the food that arrived was absolutely fresh and delicious. Our waitress, Neeraja, was delightful, warm , friendly and great to chat with. The meal wasn’t cheap but very good value in light of the excellent quality, presentation and flavour. Great selection of local wines and ales too. Will happily return.

What a treat!!! After a long day of hard work, myself and my colleague decided to go to the Waterfront restaurant for dinner. I've never been before, but my friend has and she told me that they updated their menu. Gotta say, that my taste buds were dancing as we went through our starters and then mains. Wow! Hands down to the Chef and the amazing service staff. And let's not forget to mention the beautiful view. 👌 Highly recommended!! Regret not taking more photos. On the photos - Mussel frittata and market fish of the day (Snapper and Butternut Risotto)

So worth the drive and glad we didn’t stop to eat anywhere else enroute. We had a very warm friendly welcome from Shia who is a real asset to Waterfront. She recommended the Calamari and we enjoyed the food and the experience sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful Kaiteriteri golden sand beach. Can’t wait to come back again.

Eight ladies went there for lunch this week. The menu was good and our meals were nice but unfortunately the service was terrible. Three staff on talking to each other and it wasn’t busy yet we had to get our own water, cutlery etc. Shame

Seriously delicious and top class team. Friendly and helpful. Add in the stunning view and it was a really memorable dining experience. If we lived in NZ we’d be back all the time.

Well our biking group were spoilt💥 'rotten'++ with the BB BEST BARISTA Service EVA 💫👍.Siobhan had our backs for managing 20 coffee orders with superb service delivery and engaged us with Professional personable attention without missing a beat !what a treat to be served with such salubrious style.....Her infectious banter kept us warmly engaged . The quality of the cabinet food offerings were superb and after 150 Rides this has been our best day out 🙌💫👍. The Coffee is unique in its bean selection from Pomeroy's no less . Beautiful place to eat, drink, chill and be. Its clean, modern, has vegetarian and vegan options and very good sweets. Will definitively return.

Great service, Denise was amazing, patiently explained what I was ordering, really attentive. The food was beautiful, incredible flavours. Great atmosphere.

Fabulous spot to enjoy the freshest fish and chips with a cold beer! Best location, friendly service and great portions.

Good taste and nice staff. Got the sourdough bread, fries and sirloin. Sourdough bread with hummus was very good - especially the bread! Sirloin was perfect - tasty yet tender. Fries were a little boring but not bad. Wi-Fi was fast. The younger staff were under close supervision and supported by the manager but very nice and accommodating.

Lunch with a view. Short menu, but bloody nice. Good coffee
