Stunning Soulful Shop, cafe, grocer, restraunt, local and ethical space. Loved it!!!

Great coffee and store is full of surprises. Including a Retro Cafe. Didn't have time to eat this trip but planning on a return visit soon as it looks fun and Pizza Oven is right in shop. Worth a visit just to look around whole having a nice coffee.

Great querky little place, really enjoyed the pizza. Vegan (pesto instead of cheese) was really good.

Visiting family in the area and have been looking forward to having dinner at Salt&Sugar. Our pizza's were really lovely, yummy bases. Tiramisu was delicious. Service was caring and friendly. We will be back with our family on our next visit.

Good place to get some petrol and a break on way from Dunedin

As a general store, incredibly on to what our small population is about. Very nice feedback from some of the tourists I have spoken too and I myself love that store.

It's a fun Cafe come general store which had great pizzas on Friday Sat and Sunday. It's quirky and characterful. Karitane is a great setting for this store.

A AMAZING we store/dairy/cafe they have taken everything back to basic an even as a small dairy they supply basics (they thought plastic was uncool before it became uncool) they supply basics in bulk so even if its just a cup of flour or a teaspoon of curry powder to maybe a few 100s an 100s to a bit of string they hav it an can sell it to u, along with milk straight from the farm fresh fruit that they can tell u the farm it came.from an other homemade crafts! Also they hav a fuel pump an everything u might need dairy/corner store wise along with selling normal bread coke/sprite an iceblocks they also can sell u beer/wine Or cook u a pizza to eat in or takeaway (only over the weekends in the warmer months) to just having a nice cake in the cabnet which u can eat in there amazing nz history filled cafe/seating section There a small shop that packs a big punch an well worth stopping into

Great shop with excellent organic foods and environmental philosophy ... Very tasty baking and pizzas etc ... Lovely family business and top staff

Just had pizza from here and dear god it was good. I am being entirely honest when I say it is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Just here for a couple of nights but I think I’ll be back tomorrow.

New Zealand "Soul Food"...y'all think the AMERICAN south is "where it's at"?? Ummm...I I am moved to think of the words of Crocodile Dundee...."That no Southern food - THIS is Southern food" -this is as close as you'll get it to Antarctica...you need lollies? THESE GUYS have all the lollies you'll need to keep warm and happy in any blustery Sou'wester Mother Nature will throw at you....weekends? Wood fired pizza....beer and wine even!
