We had a huge assortment of started that were all delicious!! The pizzas were delicious too with interesting flavours. Highly recommend this place, with little other options they still do provide. A high quality service! I recommend getting in early to ensure you don’t miss out it have to wait for a table. Great bar menu also!

According to google reviews this is the best restaurant in the coromandel. The truth is??? It is indeed!!! Great vibes super friendly staff and lots and lots of yummy food! Although it’s located in a small village with fewer visitors it is worth come all the way here!

Lukes Kitchen is informal, with friendly helpful staff. Took their recommendation and tried ‘Tiny’ non-alcoholic beer and then enjoyed two more! The decor is eclectic - surfer meets patio - with a pizza oven providing theatre (and excellent pizzas). My fish and chips was good and the chocolate cake was a delicious way to round off our meal. Ideally it would have been accompanied by English Breakfast Tea and a skinny latte. However the deal is they don’t serve these because the cafe adjacent does…but they close at 2.30pm. Seems odd that Lukes can’t provide coffee and tea to their customers in the evening. Worth a five ***** rating if they negotiate that.

A special place in a gorgeous little spot in NZ. We ate twice here recently and it was the highlight of our holiday. Had to wait outside for 10mins before being seated (it was NYE day!) but totally worth it. Great cocktails, fresh Coromandel oysters, ceviche, salads, pizza, mussels and healthy kids options. Friendly service, relaxed vibe. Recommend taking the kids next door after dinner for a humongous rolled ice cream.

First time here and loving it. Food was great and staffs were very friendly. One of the best restaurants in the region. I strongly recommend it.

Awesome reasturant in the Coromandel! To eat we got the Mussel Pot and two Pizzas which were very good. The Mussel pot was excellent with an amazing broth which also came with this little garlic bread pizza which was also great. The two pizzas were also very good with a nice thin base. The staff here were also super friendly and the place had an awesome atmosphere. Overall I would highly recommend Luke's Kitchen.

The most family friendly place we have been. The staff were so happy and amazing. Not only do they have healthy options for kids, toys to play with, and high chairs, but the staff also handed my son a board with pizza dough on it and told him he could make what he wanted and they would cook it for him. They also gave him some chalk to draw on the ground after he showed interest in “helping” with the specials blackboard. Honestly so lovely and relaxing for us as parents to two Littles! The food and atmosphere were so great too! Will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Just had an early dinner there. All 4 of us mature folk agreed it was stunning value. Family friendly, pooch friendly, pleasant efficient and helpful service. We had Kumera chips and mayo, Karaage chicken Feta and olives as shared starters. Mussles and pork belly tacos for mains - beautiful flavors - somebody here knows how to cook. Entertained by a lovely young singer with a voice midway between Joni Mitchel and Joan Armatrading...as the sun set on the lovely Coromandel coastline. Well done Luke

Always an awesome place for a bite to eat or a drink. Cool beachy vibe with warm and friendly staff. Love coming here with my family and friends ❤ Delicious meals and great selection of drinks for everyone. Heaps of parking and very popular all year round. Especially in summer. My wife's favourite pizza place on the peninsula. I love their squid wraps. Soooooo delicious Thanks team 🤙🏽💪🏾

Had the pleasure of popping into this cute little restaurant. Absolutely loved the experience. It was super chilled and relaxing. The vibes and atmosphere were just what the soul needed. The service was on point by all the staff. We ordered GF menu and they were able to cater. The food was fantastic. Very friendly fresh and full of flavour. Thank you team, we will be back. ❤️

Really enjoyed the anti pesto pizza. And the kids enjoyed the sunshine pizza. Would definitely come back for more pizza. The squid rings? I wouldn't order again because nothing special there. Very quick service... at 3.30pm on a Friday at least.

Such an amazing place to eat; has a great rustic vibe to the restaurant and also live music provided (at least when we went). Has a beautiful view of Kuaotunu Beach, especially stunning at sunset! Lots of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating, and throws/blankets available on request. Ordered the loaded hummus starter dish, and it was delicious! The nevafail pizza (special for the day) was absolutely gorgeous, with the fresh tarakihi cooked to its flaky goodness. The woodfire pizzas definitely seem to be the stars of the show at this restaurant. It also has a very good drinks list, with jugs of some cocktails available for larger parties.

Luke's Kitchen, a charming café nestled in the heart of the Coromandel, truly comes alive on sunny Saturday afternoons, offering a delightful culinary escape. As soon as one steps in, the inviting aroma of freshly baked pizzas wafting through the air sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. The star of the show is, without a doubt, their pizza. Each pie is a masterpiece, boasting a perfect crust that strikes a delicate balance between crispy and chewy. The toppings are fresh, vibrant, and generously portioned, ensuring every bite is as flavorful as the last. The Margherita pizza, with its simple yet elegant combination of ripe tomatoes, fragrant basil, and melted mozzarella, is a testament to the kitchen's commitment to quality ingredients and traditional techniques. What truly sets Luke's Kitchen apart is the ambiance. The sun-drenched patio is an idyllic spot for leisurely dining, where one can bask in the warmth of the day while enjoying a slice of pizza. The staff contributes to the welcoming atmosphere with their attentive, yet unobtrusive service, ensuring that every need is met with a smile. In conclusion, Luke's Kitchen is more than just a café; it's a culinary haven that excels in delivering exceptional pizzas in a serene and friendly environment. A visit here promises not just a meal, but a delightful experience that lingers long after the last slice is savored.

We were in Whitianga’s region just after the public holidays in February and fortunately, Luke’s kitchen was here : with good food, good mood, and decent opening hours. We were with our baby, which means that naps give the pace of our days. Luke’s kitchen was the only place in the area serving great menu whatever the time of the day. It was a real pain to find good cafes and take-away in Whitianga, everything was closed or very average. Luke’s kitchen is worth the 20 min drive, the deco is awesome, Luke and his team are very friendly and the food is awesome, even for vegetarians like us. They know what tasty means. Great beaches are 5 min away. Thanks Luke!

Lukes kitchen is well known out in Whitianga so we had to stop in for one those famous wood fired pizzas, hubby had a local beer which he enjoyed and I had a pimms cocktail which was yummy. Tried the karage chicken and side of fries with garlic pizza and the antipasto pizza all hot and delicious, staff was friendly and helpful, dog friendly. Highly recommend
