Review Jack Rabbit - Lake Tekapo

Jason Teo
Love their burgers, very good price for the quality. Less impressed with the fries that came with it. I will probably give their tacos a miss the next time I return, the hard shell tacos were not crispy. The strawberry milkshake was OK. Overall still a great place for a stopover. Staff were attentive and great.

I am so glad I walked 200m further to find Jack Rabbit. The outside smells of amazing freshly cut wood. Inside was chic but not overdone. Selection of slices, scones and quick menu bites (like egg/bacon bap, BLT, etc) as well as a varied and easy breakfast menu. Staff were thoughtful and sweet.

Yes, you have to purchase an item before using their bathroom. (Just a heads up!) The service is lovely here. The food and drinks are delicious! I'd recommend the eggs benny and add on hashbrowns and bacon. The atmosphere feels great with a bit of a view. I love sitting at the booths. 😊

Enjoyed a delicious big breakfast and oat milk latte. Great value for money, service was incredible, food arrived quick and the lake views were gorgeous. I would definitely visit again if passing through Lake Tekapo. I recommend a short walk to the Good Shepard Church and dog statue after your meal.

We enjoyed the scone and salad we ordered. There are a lot of seats and the staff let us charge our phones. Not too expensive given the location.

I booked the Godley Resort which is included this breakfast. Although the room is old style and need to go upstair for the second floor room, it nears the Church. The breakfast is big and tasty with several choices include cold or hot drink and one sweet cake. It really make me full till late afternoon.

This is the first time in 20 years I've been back to the Godley hotel restaurant. The Belgium waffles were really nice. From the shelves, we got the blueberry muffin and cheese scone. The muffin wasnt very blueberry, it was crumbly & appeared to be bought in. The scones was lovely with butter. I requested for a mocha and it was rather too sweet, can't taste much of the coffee. Other than that, the service was great. Food came out rather quick even though there were quite a queue to order. Overall, great. We look forward to go back to try the brunch next time. 👍🏻

My wife and I only had their coffee and scones. I got the cheese scone and she got the cream cheese and basil scone. We have travelled all around the world and we both agreed these were the best scones of our lives! Must go!! Get the scones and a great cup of coffee!!

Plenty of free seats, a nice atmosphere, with some seats having nice outside views. The food and drinks were really quick. The wedges ($15) seemed they were not freshly cooked but tasted good and were a reasonable size. The ice chocolate was the least sweetest I've tasted (though one can just add sugar to sweeten it) and could have been a little bigger for $7.
