Review Whispers Cafe - Levin

Stopped over in Levin for a driving break and had lunch here! It’s a big spacious cafe and the food here is great. I especially enjoyed my mushrooms and toast and happy to chance upon this cafe!!

Much bigger than a normal cafe ... parking located must outside the place. Very nice and friendly staff. Our good was nice n well prepared n presented. Back part of the cafe looking a bit tired though. Nice range of items available from the cabinet. We stopped over here for a quick eat on our way to back home in Auckland.

AMAZING..hi all I love this little Cafe I stopped in here on my way to Wellington and on my way back to hawks Bay ..the staff were very polite and helpful and the food were yummy and fresh...the young women who made my coffee..well done the coffee was excellent and as good as coffee I've drunk in new York and perth thank you... Great range of snack foods and meals made too order...so well done.. Recommend to all family and friends ❤️

Very tasty food with large portions. Really good value for money. I had a very yummy, freshly prepared vegan gluten-free meal. Lovely helpful owners/staff. Great pit stop on the long drive.

Absolutely perfect for a midway stop home. Delicious food... even when my pie flew off my plate the staff gave me another. Very much appreciated. Will be back for sure

Stopped for breakfast. Really deceiving place - it is a lot bigger than you'd expect. Indoor and outdoor seating. Menu or cabinet option for food. Our food was amazing and very quick to arrive - we ordered off the menu. Place was older, some might say dated, however we liked the charm it gave the place. It was clean and decorated with photos and artwork for sale, wishing well and a piano. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Well worth the stop!

Luckily, we made a short stopp for the Whispers Café on our way to Wellington. The Café is bigger than it looks, with a very nice interior and friendly staff. The prices are reasonable but the best of this place is the delicious food and very good cappuccino and matcha latte! We had the Eggs Benedict and the special hot pancakes with bananas, Bacon and marble syrup. Delicious!!

Nice spot to stop when your phone goes ballistic (after you told everyone you were away)... Coffee was excellent and the Berry smoothie was even better.

It was nice to be able to get a nice breakfast why I wait to check in to my motel amazing

Great food and even better service! Really enjoyed our lunch as we were passing through Levin. Great pricing too. Thickshake was very chocolaty, Quiche tasted great and was lovely and moist, and the PeriPeri chicken burger was huge and tasty! .

A big cafe, lots of seating areas and options. Just got a coffee for takeaway, was a bit colder than im used to so will remember to ask for extra hot. Good latte.

As a young professional vegetarian working in Levin for the past year and a half, Whispers Cafe has been my haven during my lunch break. I have been so happy with the vast variety of vegetarian, vegan and raw options available here. The raw snickers bar is my absolute fave! The friendliest staff ever. Whispers cafe has been without a doubt my highlight of my time spent in Levin. Thank you!!

A few very good vegan meals, good coffee milk selection and all round great service. If looking for a lovely vegan breakfast/lunch and a coffee in Levin, they should be your first stop

This is probably the best cafe we have been to in New Zealand since getting here. The food is really top notch. The menu has something for everyone and our kids enjoyed it too.

A really lovely place to eat, I've only been in Levin for a couple of days but managed to eat here three times! Breakfast, Coffee and Cake and Dinner too.., all really delicious, the staff are fantastic and so friendly... everyone should visit here when in Levin �

quality of food has deterioated now only average and cake was dry. Also they did not give me my main had to ask-they forgot as very busy. An apology would have been nice but not forthcoming. May not visit again.

I live in Australia and am vegan. My sister lives in Levin, my Mother lives in Otaki Beach so when I was in town in September we went to Whispers twice. The vegan options were good but the service was erratic and staff not apologetic over errors on orders and some issues with cutlery needing extra cleaning. I spoke with the manager online who said she’d address this (cutlery). I’m back for Christmas and it was super busy and we were advised of a long wait which is fine. When our food came out only mine and my Sister’s came out and 10 minutes later still waiting on Mum’s. I checked at the counter in case it was forgotten. No apology, order was checked and a dessert was almost forgotten. Again no apology. It was obvious the vege pizza Mum had was reheated so probably forgotten. We gave feedback on leaving to a very rude older waitress who didn’t apologize and said “it was busy”. My family have had issues there before with order muck up’s. Given the prices, the service level is not up to scratch. Also we’ve all worked in hospitality and know customer service. The vegan food is good but we are no longer supporting Whispers, we will travel further when I’m in town.

Now on my list of favorite cafes. Very good food, very relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff.
