Awesome place, a really comfortable and old school tavern with an open fireplace for the cold days. Delicious food, the beef burger and the peperoni pizza were really yummy!

Absolute gem of a pub - maybe one of the best in the country. Great character, a few great local beers on tap, and hearty meals which were welcome after finishing the QCT. Worth spending a night in Anakiwa after finishing the walk just to stop by the tavern!

We happened upon this quirky pub quite by accident. Absolutely wonderful friendly service (Sam) . Plus the best fish and chips in the District. The scenic drive from Havelock to Picton is a treat .
