Review Rizzo's Pizzeria & Kitchen - Lower Hutt

Very lovely decorated place! We had a delicious lunch, generous portions too! The mozzarella sticks were amazing, the prawn pasta was lovely with perfectly cooked pasta, the meatballs and friend chicken were delicious and the pizza perfectly cooked with a generous amount of toppings. All the food was very nicely presented and we didn’t wait more than 10-15 mins for the starters to be brought out. We will definitely be back, I’d love to go on a sunny day and sit outside too.

Fantastic food, service is always friendly with a smile and the atmosphere outside with the music on and sun out is super relaxing. Highly Recommend!

We loved having dinner here tonight (Easter Monday). The renovations are immaculate, and so is the new menu. They don’t do Gorilla Burgers any more. But the food is 🤤 delicious 😋 Lovely setup guys, such a great atmosphere- feels like an America Fusion mixed in with Italian Vibes. Also such a lovely courtyard outside. The service was so great and the food was delicious. We had Chicken Caesar, 🍗Margarita pizza 🍕 spag and meatball pasta and the Spicy 🌶️ Chicken sandwich with the spicy marinara sauce. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice staff, good atmosphere with plenty of seating. Had the chicken parmigiana and it was very well flavoured. Also tried the Margarita pizza, very authentic and good portion for the price :) will be back again !

Two pizza's for the price of one was just too good of a deal to pass up! While we didn't book a table we were still able to get one when visiting just before 6. Pizza was pretty decent, definitely fills you up. Only thing missing was a bit of a kick which the chili sauce available on the table didn't give, However the kitchen was phenomenal and provided us with some chilli flakes. Will definitely be back soon!

We went for the WOAP burger and it didn't disappoint. Service was a little slow on previous visits when we had a bigger group but no problems this time.

Rizzo's was outstanding!! Group of about 15 of us, had a lovely time catching up in a casual setting outside, enjoying the delicious woodfired pizzas and great selection of drinks on offer. Thank you Rizzo staff for tending to our needs...I would highly recommend this place to anyone

10 out of 10.. The team were accommodating, the service was amazing and the food was on point... Our group of girls took advantage of the tap cocktails and the special they had available! It was a great start to our day! Make sure you check them out.. We will be back!!

I went Sat 4th Nov. The pizzas were very good. Fries next time I will ask for no salt. Little salty for me. But all very good. Will certainly go back. Much improved.

We were a large group of 16. I booked online and accidentally booked the wrong time. The staff were so understanding and accommodating and re-booked us at the time we wanted. The food was amazing and they made sure all the kids food came out first so they were happy and weren't waiting. The overall experience was fantastic!! we will definitely be back.

Me and my partner love this place, it's very versatile and the tiramasu here is delicious!

Went out with my sisters last weekend and what a hoot! Lovely service and gorgeous food - probably the best pasta/pizza I've tasted in a long long time. We'll be back no doubt - get amongst it.

We understood children ate free off the kids menu on Sunday. Still got charged. Nice meal though; quick, but staff forgot the desert for the wee one. Had to be reminded twice!

Great pizza and other foods, however food and beverage delivery was a bit slow, but admittedly we did have a group of 9. Staff was friendly though. Would absolutely visit again.

We called in for a quick meal. Service was great, food arrived amazingly quickly and the cocktails were yum! Recommend, and also as a child friendly place to eat too!

Nice decor. I quite enjoyed my salmon benny & milkshake, though my milkshake was meant to be vanilla - it was swathed in caramel sauce, basically making it a caramel milkshake. Not really what I wanted. We arrived before a volley of gym bunny coffee regulars, but had to wait until they had all been provided with their coffees before we got our food, and we were the only ones there to dine. Way to go for ensuring diners want to come back!

We tried this place on the recommendation of a friend, who reckons it does the best pizza in Wellington - though some of the ratings say otherwise and, in my opinion, the best pizza in Wellington is Pepe's. <br/><br/>However, we didn't have pizza today, so will rate it another day.<br/><br/>Today we had brunch.<br/><br/>He had the bacon & ham eggs benny; I had it with salmon as I don't eat swine. He said his looked fabulous but was tasteless. Mine looked fabulous and was very tasty. The muffins were toasted crunchy as opposed to soggy, which was great. <br/><br/>We both had shakes - he had the banoffee, I had a traditional vanilla. I order vanilla shakes because I lie plain, basic milk with a hint of vanilla - today's shake looked impressive but was actually quite small under all the canned whipped cream, and it was laced with caramel syrup, which overwhelmed it. If I wanted a caramel shake I would've ordered one. This may not bother those who don't mind caramel shakes, but for me a vanilla shake is just that.  The banoffee was a good representation of the flavour and had a piece of chocolate brownie added to it - not really worth $12 though. It didn't have a solid banana/caramel flavour - that came more with the banana chips/lollies added on top.<br/><br/>There was a very long wait on the banoffee shake - as just after we ordered a bunch of post-gym regulars came in to order their coffees. We had to wait until they had all been served, which was a bit off, because we had been there first and had ordered meals that we wanted our drinks with.<br/><br/>Not sure we would go back for brunch... but might try a pizza in the future.

If I am paying over $100 for pizzas I am expecting a few quality ingredients, but what we got were pizzas with limp doughy bases and toppings that could be best described as average. We ordered 1 vegetarian pizza, 1 chicken pizza and 2 meat pizzas (which were the worst). We glumly ate some of it and threw the rest out.

The staff are very friendly and I always enjoy meals here. Just be aware the entry door is a wee bit short. So you tall people out there, remember to duck :)

Called into Rizzo's at 12.10pm for a lunch break.this afternoon 31/5/2019. Was shown to a table where my wife and I placed and order for one  Salmon Avacodo  dish and one Eggs Bene. After a 35 minute wait the waitress said our Pizza meal would be arriving shortly!  We explained to her that we had not ordered Pizzas.  As we left the premises I said to her the the customer who don't come back are the ones who will put you out of business!!! We were not at all impressed.

Came in on a Monday night to grab the WOAP burger and mocktail. Hadn't been in since last years WOAP as at that time I wasn't happy with the service which was a shambles but I was aware that they had only recently opened. Things were much better this time. Great prompt service. I really liked both the burger and the mocktail. I'd definitely come back to try the regular menu.

Dropped in to grab the Welly on a Plate Burger and was greeted by a friendly girl. She said we could sit anywhere as it was very quiet.<br/>The place was nice and had different seating areas/styles and was quite spaced out.<br/>The burger didn't take very long and the waitress took the time to explain the different elements of the burger which we really appreciated.<br/>Burger was bloody delicious! Pulled pork with maple candied bacon with whipped blue cheese in an apple glazed donut bun! So good!! Did not skip on anything!<br/>The only downside was the lack of acknowledgement for all our praises.<br/>I just want them to know that we loved it!

Friendly staff that makes you feel very welcome. I had the panfried salmon  which i could not fault, my dining partners had pizzas that they all enjoyed.
