One of our regular takeaway spots. The food is divine and authentically indian. A harmony of flavours. One of the best Indian restaurants in Wellington. I always order mango lassi, garlic cheese naan & lamb korma. I’m addicted to that deliciousness!

Just a great little place to have some well prepared Indian food. The Church Road Chardonnay was a great drop to match the food too.

Lovely food, atmosphere and friendly staff. A real gem hidden away here and well worth visiting. The Garlic Tikka Chicken entree was amazing! Generous portion sizes as well and many varied dishes on the menu. Easy parking right outside the door.

Great food and service. Good prices. Can get a bit overrun when busy but nothing crazy.

An unpretentious meal with exceedingly fresh ingredients and polite, helpful staff. Not loud so perfect for good conversation. The paneer starter is divine. Good sized portions.

Good food, well spiced. The Butter chicken and Lamb Saag were very good (medium spiced) as well as a good Dal Makahni plus garlic and plain Naans. - not mushy at all. Good service plain rice comes with the mains. will go again.

Excellent takeaway. Particularly like the Chicken Saag.

I have not had Lamb Haandi this good, ever. And finding a whole cardamom is a rare treat indeed. Will definitely return for the experience.

Fantastic tasting Indian food in little Eastbourne village. Very simple and plain dine in facilities, and lots of take out. Never got a bad meal from here.

I am a regular. Great food, good service, dine in is a bit basic . Is small so you can wait a while at peak times.

Great range of curries, really friendly service. Having tried a range of their curries, I’ve never been disappointed. The Lamb Dopiaza is great, and the onion kulcha is worth a go too

Top butter chicken and wonderful customer service - highly recommended and then some. Dish was creamy and extremely tasty, as per other reviews. Glad I tried regardless of store aesthetics. Only gripe is there could be more chicken, but still glad I tried

Haven't eaten in here but the takeaways have always been delicious and staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. I regularly go here and am never disappointed. I generally order medium spice for myself and mild for my girlfriend and they have always been done perfectly.

Ordered takeaway dinner for 10 people. All the chicken curries were super hot. We couldn't just eat it nicely. Only thing we could enjoy was Butter Chicken. Thank god we ordered that, kids could eat it.They gave 2 lts of fruit juice for free. May be they knew about how hot the food will be :P
Biryani was more like fried rice with some chicken pieces in it. The dal fry was completely raw. The dal was not boiled and was not edible.

Awesome meal. We have never enjoyed Indian food so much. Customer service was so accommodating A+. Definitely returning. Really got our moneys worth.

I have been going to this little restaurant for a long time. the food is amazing!! i love their butter chicken so its a treat for me once in a while.
However, when i ordered this evening, i was hugely disappointed. I was told the curry would take 15 minute to make which is usual. When i arrive they said it would take 25 minutes which i accepted as i loved the curry and was worth the wait. An hours later i received the curry, only to take it home and found it cold with only one out of the two roti i had ordered. By this time i was far from annoyed and too tired to ring back. My local spices restaurant has hugely disappointed me as i held it in such high regards. My opinion lost is lost forever.

We gave this understated little restaurant a go one day after a stroll along the beach at Eastbourne and since then we've been driving out there every week because the food is AMAZING. Everyone we've taken along agrees it's the best Indian food in Wellington by far. I grew up in Asia and I'd go so far as to say it's the best Indian food I've had outside of Asia.. Of course they do a very popular butter chicken but we have never tried it - the menu of authentic Indian dishes is too delicious. The breads are baked in the tandoor on site - my favourites are the veg paratha and onion kulcha. Tonight I had fish masala - Indian hot - and my partner had chicken bhuna. We shared a medium aloo gobi too - didn't bother with starters. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious, the flavours are all so distinctive. I like my curries hot and even then the flavours are never outdone by spice. What a chef! And Abhi, the manager, is just a delightful host. Can't rate this place highly enough. Get yourself along there, you won't be disappointed.

We went for dinner with kids. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. The place is warm and has a great ambiance. This little place is nicely decorated and clean.
We tried their samosas ( highly recommended). The samosas are crispy and tasty ( feel like eating in India). Garlic Tikka was spicy and delicious.
Garlic Roti and Garlic Naan were flaky and nicely baked.
Mains- chilly chicken - kids favourite and enjoyed by all. Paneer tikka was tasty. Lamb Rogan Josh - we felt like eating in India. It was nicely cooked with a great flavour in true Indian style. We liked it hot.
Mustard chicken curry- this was our most favourite. We tried it first time. Highly recommended.
We did not have space for deserts as we were too full. The quantities are generous so we ended up as having takeaway of left over.
Toilets are dated but clean.

I love this little restaurant. Very friendly atmosphere, very nice people, and if you like paneer, they have a delicious Paneer Tikka, and a very enjoyable Paneer Tikka Masala.
