During the July school holidays, Sierra Cafe participated in the sweet as hot chocolate challenge. On my last visit, I tried this special hot chocolate, and it was delicious. I would definitely go back. As well as the food and drink, the staff were friendly and an overall great experience

Nice. Ordered a scone and mocha. Both not outstanding but still nice enough. I’d say above average. Service very good. They are really kind to the elderly which is nice to see.

A quick coffee stop at Sierra on level one at Queensgate was exactly what was required during post Christmas sales shopping. Staff was lovely and the espresso was consistently good!

This has become our go-to cafe in the mall in Lower Hutt. It has just about everything you would want in the way of a cafe light meals snacks and meals up a little more substance. In the sweet section.for the very popular Berliner doughnut with cream custard.

They make good coffee, don’t have very good selection of food for vegetarians. The staff are nice. But if you could add some more vegetarians food would be awesome. But overall thank you for the nice coffee

Great little Cafe in the center of Queensgate Shopping mall.
The food is tasty with a good selection of sweet and savory dishes.
The coffee is a bit strong for my liking but I have half strength and it's fine.
The staff are super friendly and the service is excellent.

Quite a nice cafe. A reasonable selection of food choices and the coffee is decent quality. Friendly service as well. The seating is good with the one downside being that it’s in the middle of mall thoroughfare so not exactly quiet and you feel rather exposed. If you want a recommendation on something to eat here then they do an excellent cheese scone.

It is an average mall cafe. We had lunch and coffee. We had a pie and a quiche which were average. However we waited for our coffee quite long time. We wondered if they forgot so I went to the counter to remind our coffee. Finally our coffee came about 30 minutes after we finished our lunch.

Sierra started off quite tasteful in terms of decor but has gradually become a bit tacky: "deals" advertised on laminated cards (a step up from the hand scribbled one I saw there last), help yourself cutlery draw etc. I've only had their caramel brownie but it is delicious.

We decided to stop here before shopping so got takeaway flat whites. The coffee came quick but was very hot. The food available looked good but some seemed a bit over priced.

Not a stellar example of a mall cafe in my view. Average coffee and prices seem high. OK if you are shopping and need a break, but stick to coffee .<br/><br/>13 Nov 2014 I probably need to visit again and see if my view of Siera is still as it was when I originally wrote my comments
FOOD Wars
Nice coffee here and if you work in the building or the tower, you get a discount. The staff are always friendly. Limited selection of food available and some seem costly but this seems to be normal pricing these days for these kind of cafés. Id say <br/>it's probably got the nicest coffee out of its nearby competition.
