Review Lyttelton Coffee Company - Lyttelton

Loved the vibe! The food was really delicious, best I’ve had so far in New Zealand! The eggs benedict with mushrooms was perfect, nothing to complain about. The atmosphere was good, loved the interior and the music. Would definitely recommend!

It was almost closing time but we were welcome to sit on the deck and have coffees, which was amazing - see the view. Nice and sheltered from the cold wind blowing on the main street. Had flat whites with oat milk and they were delicious and creamy. Great coffee! Slices in the cabinet looked delicious too.

Lovely little cafe with an amazing view from the deck. The food was excellent and so was the coffee. A really good range of food for a small kitchen with only one chef. It was reasonably busy and he was still getting the food out in good time. Pretty sure I waited longer in the queue to order. Not sure if that was because the till didn't work but the guy on the counter was adding on a calculator and writing it down on sticky notes. Very old-school quaint and a nice throw back to a slower pace of life.

I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw the "no trim or decaf" written on the register 😍😍😍 The drinks were superb. I ordered 2 mochas, 1 with an extra shot assuming the standard was double. When mine came as a quad shot, I was worried as my wife has never had a triple before. She liked it here, bravo! My quad was smooth and easy to drink too, and the ambience of the place is fantastic. We both loved the varied artwork. If we're ever back in Lyttleton we're definitely coming back here

Lovely warm relaxed ambience. Green smoothie has spice heat and zing! So gooood! The risotto cake with unexpected side salad was delicious and the ginger nut crunch hit the sweet spot perfectly. It’s rustic, it’s confident it’s truely a slice of bohemian Lyttelton. Great views t top it off and a wood burning fire. Go!

Went there with the family. A spacious cafe with a large deck. There are tables inside and outside with a view towards Lyttelton harbour. We had coffee and cake. Both delicious. There is a huge coffee roaster machine inside the cafe. My kid loved it. Artworks on the walls all around. The place has an open kitchen and cool vibes. I loved the industrial look. We will be back!

Stopped in from off the cruise ship - coffee was perfect, local draft beer was delicious, pumpkin risotto was fire, service was excellent. 10/10 will be back next time.

This is the 2nd time we have visited here. We are from Hamilton. Decided while in Christchurch again. We would come and have breakfast. Delicious 😋 The coffee has a lovely flavour. Thank you.

Stopped for coffee yesterday and returned today for one of the most delish breakfasts we’ve had in NZ. Me the heuvos rancheros and Julie the pesto mushrooms Plus another perfect coffee experience Sat on back deck watching the bustling port Recommended

The atmosphere of this place is very nice and eclectic. It’s a friendly and cozy place with wonderful food! The presentation was great, and the taste of it all was impressive as well. The coffee was like any other cafe’s coffee, but overall this was a good option for some good food.

The reward of lunch there topped the great day ... stopped here for lunch with the dogs after walking the bridle path to Lyttleton. The dogs were welcomed inside as well! Recommend this as a day trip.

At face value, this cafe in the port town of Lyttelton seemed small and unassuming, nothing fancy. We weren’t even planning to go here, if not for wanting to spend time to wait for a clearer weather before taking a gondola ride nearby. So glad we came here though because for one, the coffee was just fantastic! I’m no coffee connoisseur but the hot cuppa I had is definitely on the top of my list. The next thing I loved is the vibe of the cafe—spacious, rustic and opens to amazing views of the harbour. The staff was okay, locals here were friendly or nicely nonchalant (which I prefer, than having people stare at me because I “look different” 🤷🏻‍♀️). Needless to say, I think I found the best cafe in New Zealand for me (to date). Too bad it’s 600++ miles away from Auckland, but the seclusion adds to its charm, I guess ❤️

Awesome Breakfast! Anything from a Big Breaky with Bacon and Eggs etc to something sweet with French toast. Really good coffee and OJ. Atmosphere is laid back and chill with an awesome view of the wharf. Friendly staff and overall a great place to have breakfast. Highly recommend and definitely coming back here again on our trip.

Delicious food, great coffee, friendly staff. I've been here a few times now and the food is always great. I highly recommend stopping here if you're passing through, sit out on the back deck and admire the views or grab a street-side table for some people watching. Thanks for an awesome breakfast team! x
