Review Super - Lyttelton

Great place. Fantastic atmosphere and brilliant service. But lets talk food.... wow.. had the cauliflower and pork belly. Totally amazing. Worth the trip through the hill to visit.

Edit: The staff have been really helpful and empathetic in rectifying our experience. Feeling very heard and appreciated! Thank you Super. Super has always been one of my favourite restaurants but tonight I was so disappointed at the significantly reduced portion sizes, and the increased prices. The service was average and their new menu was difficult to navigate. We ordered fried rice balls and it was just plain rice with some spring onions. Paid $100 for two people that left hungry, and we paid more for a meal that was advertised as cheaper ๐Ÿ˜ž. I am upset to say I wonโ€™t be returning. The decor makes for a good photo at least.

Favourite Lyttelton/Christchurch restaurant by far. When we lived in Wanaka it was always our first stop for eats when we hit the big smoke - and the last. Now we live here and are super proud to have this be our local.

Great food. The servers had attitude which is tolerable if they were great but, well they weren't. Okonomiyaki was the star but cocktails were on point and pork belly was much enjoyed too.

This is a cool wee spot, decked out well inside. There was a good selection of food and drink. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place for drinks or a coffee. I loved the ambiance and pink light theme. Loved the vibe. Awesome customer service by staff. I will back again to try some new meals. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•. A must go place if you are near by. No

To sum this place up with just one word is easy, itโ€™s Super. The food is both fast, and high quality, often those two things are mutually exclusive, but not here. We were served personally by the owner who was also Super, super friendly and super professional. The menu has many vegetarian options, and they are able to cater both Vegans and those who are Gluten Free. Labelling the meat dishes with (M) instead of vegetarian with (V) was a nice touch appreciated by our table. Even the POS system was great, making easy for the 8 of us to pay for our own items easily. Iโ€™ll definitely be eating here again soon, so to should you.

The staff are friendly, the menu is creative. it's a mix of Japanese and NZ cuisine. However, it's a bit pricey. I also recommend putting some pictures on the menu, so that the customers have a better idea of what they are ordering.

Great food - interesting and very tasty - tried heaps of dishes including Vegetarian Sang Choi Bao and the Steak and crickets - Yes, you read it right! Everything was superbly cooked and presentation probably the best in town. Excellent cosy place for couples and groups. Staff were very welcoming and ready to assist with menu choices. Do yourself a favour, impress your friends and head to Lyttelton.

A cute cafe in the heart of Lyttleton. They have outdoor seating too. The juices and food here are delicious, but the portions are a little too small for the price. They leave you hungry for more food. We had the tofu scramble and the japanese hot bread.

The coffee was really good. The chili scrambled eggs were wonderful. They bake their own bread which was so yummy.

Had the most beautiful feat for matariki. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sides tasty to match. Best way to spend a Sunday ๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค

Groovy as place, loved it. All the staff had personality plus (refreshing). The Organic Wok Greens were delicious and all the other dishes they efficiently rolled out looked mouth watering. Enjoyed the funky sounds playing and the decor was very cool - the booths were very stylish. Considering it was a public holiday and pretty busy I think they did amazingly well at pulling it off. Definitely going back again ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘Œ

I stopped in here after so many recommendations to try . I was not disappointed! The place was humming & all the staffed looked really happy & interacted with all the tables so well. The food was so delicious , beautifully presented, well priced considering the price of everything nowadays , we had the Hฤpuka Cheviche , the super fried cauliflower, Alaroa Salmon & wok greens all with divine has made sauces & beautiful flavour !! the cocktails were delicious & music was great ! Itโ€™s an independently run restaurant too so another reason to go support. Cannot wait to return.
