Review Bakehaven Cafe - Mangere

Food was delicious, prices are reasonable. Coffee was great. They have bubbles tea too. Plenty of seat there. Staff was friendly. I recommend to try their chicken and kebab.

Their food and customer service has improved immensely over the past year. - Bakehaven delight meal (delish) - Steak burger meal (ok) - Hazelnut lattes were perfect for my taste - Fries were hot and fresh - Their aioli sauce was the highlight for me

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast here. Old Style Mix grill - bacon, eggs, toast, sausages and delicious creamy mushrooms - complimented with a lovely Earl Grey tea. Pleasant environment and clean toilets onsite for customer use.

I really like this little place. The selection and prices are reasonable. My first NZ meat pie and quiche so no frame of reference but not sure how they could be better. Cappuccino were very good. We had asked for a double and the person making it missed it. We had not noticed but she brought us one with a size upgrade no charge.

Friendly atmosphere and the food was cooked to perfection. A lovely place to take the family to. Not too pricey. The breakfast menu is available throughout the day.

We had breakfast here twice and both were great. Big breakfasts and mixed grill were the best. Big yummy fluffy pancakes with bacon in the middle we couldn’t finish but they were yum!

A convenient place to stop on the road, spacious and with lots of variety. The chinese staff is helpful and efficient. Products are not exactly handmade, but tasty

Food was displayed well. Nice to have a wide selection of hot food, sweet food and drinks. Service was friendly and helpful. Reasonable costs.

I was a bit wary after looking at all the very mixed reviews, but all in all it was a win for a quick easy cheap breakfast on the go. We were staying in the hotel next door and there’s not much around walking distance and the hotel breakfast was expensive. Ordered a spinach/feta quiche, bacon/onion quiche and a cream custard donut and all hit the spot for breakfast under $20 for two people before a flight. They had heaps of grab and go food (sandwiches, pies, sweets) and also a section of sausages, spring rolls and skewers of chicken hot and ready to go that looked really good too had it been later in the day. Coffee and other made to order breakfasts and lunches were on offer too.

Great food, good coffee, have visited a few times, never disappoints.

Used to love this place but now it’s overpriced, portions are much smaller and drop in quality of food. Cabinet food is good and still the same though

Used to love this place, was a regular. But it seems the prices have gone up, food portions have gone down, and so has the quality of food. However it is not very clean, tables seem to always be greasy, flies are always hanging around and the toilet is not very clean either. I will continue to stick to the Onehunga branch.

We use to dine here regularly with our family but after today we will never go back to this bake haven! <br/>We ordered our food at 12:45pm and was told the food would take about 30mins. We received one meal 40mins after waiting but were still waiting for two more meals. At 1:45 I asked what was taking so long and that I was told 30mins but have now waited a whole hour! I asked for a refund but was told that because the food was being made I couldn’t have a refund!<br/>I then asked for our food that was still being made to have as takeaway and had to wait another 10mins!<br/>Very bad service and the quality of food we received was terrible. The fries were cold with no seasoning and my sons chicken nuggets were burnt!<br/>I would actually give this rating a zero!<br/>I Do not recommend the Mangere bake haven at all!!!<br/><br/>Clendon bake haven is a lot better and well worth your money.<br/>

This used to be one of my favourites. Food was so good but portion sizes have changed and I haven’t been back. Prices go up and portions have gone down.

Came in after lunch for a quick snack. Was craving custard so I grabbed a custard tart. The custard was not attached to the tart and the top layer of custard tasted kind of hard. Tart base wasn’t too crumbly.

Love the food and price is cheap. staff is very friendly only live down the road and when it’s pay day every month I love to pop by and get my favourite dish which is creamy mushroom spinach with eggs and toast ❤️

Had breakfast here yesterday and was very pleased with the service as well as the food. Have been going here for the past 3 years and the mushroom sauce is by far my favourite thing on the menu.

Used to be a regular go to place for brunch whenever in the area. Been here plenty of times but noticed a slight drop in the food quality. Recently ordered the Tasty Chicken Salad. Quite a lack of dressing on it. Presentation lacking. Service time was quick but won’t be coming back as often as I could.

Great service, delicious food at affordable prices! Steak meal for $19! This place is fantastic for breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner. Definitely recommend

Not bad for cheap breakfast. Usually go here when I don’t want to break the bank, service is good and food is good. They have ashtrays available for smokers and takeaway options if you don’t want to dine in which is a plus if you want to enjoy their breakfast at home.

I would not recommend this place to anyone as the owner was not accomodating (actually quite rude) and the food at the end of the day looks stale! I will try Bake Haven in another suburb and see whether the service and food quality is better.

Great selection of the all day breakfast menu, nothing fancy more homestyle type of cooking which I don’t mind. Large cafe with ample seating and parking.

We arrived 2.45ish thinking they were closing at 4pm - closing time for Saturday is not specified but every other day it's at 4pm. So naturally we assumed closing was at 4pm. While we were relaxing and eating, a staff member came to clear dishes away and said they were closing. My sister and I carried on finishing our meal thinking they'd probably give us another 15 minutes or so. But No.. the owner walks over to us and says that they're now closed (3pm) and hinting for us to move. We told him that maybe they need to add a closing time for Saturday because it's missing and therefore misleading. We thought that ushering us out before we had time to finish our meal a bit rude, and coming from the owner, very ungracious and inconsiderate. Here's us supporting their business by buying from them and in exchange we get 0 quality of service. So much for trying to please the customers.<br/><br/>Bake Haven Cafe at Clendon Park is much nicer, friendlier staff and much better food quality!!!

Have had the old mixed grill and mushroom grill on two different visits, while friends ordered other things - not all that, everything was plain and not going there again.

Been here on two occasions for Sunday Bunch (after church). The first visit was unplanned as I drove past. I ordered from the All Day Breakfast Menu (Mushroom Brekkie) and a flat white. Service was prompt (maybe due to us arriving near closing time). I enjoyed my meal and coffee hence the reason for a return visit with additional family members to share the experience. The second visit was just as enjoyable as the first. Food not high quality but very tasty and good value for money. However, and I truly don't mean to sound racist but the non-asian staff demonstrate a higher level of customer service with clear and effective communication, friendly attitude and presentation. Definately worth dropping in to try the food and coffee.

LOVE the coffee here!! The best mocha I have had in Auckland so far. Good price and nice service. Food was alright, nothing special from other cafes but the portion wa so big for breakfast!

We ordered an eggs bene and kiwi breakfast (2 sausages, toast and mince). Mince was terrible and looked forward to dog food more than that. Eggs bene tasted mediocre but presentation turned off my appetite mostly. Asked for the eggs to be poached and seemed to have the thinnest layer of egg white to hold the yolk in. Was a nice place to go but will not come back here again. Would rate below 1 but unfortunately 1 is the lowest. Over priced foe the quality we received. Food did take a while but partially due to how busy it was.

Always busy, service okay. My partner always gets the egg bene, i did love the meal i have in the picture but i found the chefs hair in my eggs one time and havent been back. It did really put me off this place. Should maybe change the bread they serve with the food. Hate how they put the bread at the bottom always soggy when its time to eat your toast

Went for a family brunch one sunny morning. Maybe it was a bad morning but that will be the last time we are going there. I received both back ends of the loaf with my breakfast, a boiled egg which was supposed to be poached, and a waiter who clearly did not know what was being served. He just put the plates in front of us, without asking who ordered what. There were 5 of us, and the wait time for the food was alright, considering the first four got their meals straight after the other, then the last one was received 10 mins later, by that time everyone else's food was cold. I guess the only good thing is that it is quite affordable.

They have free Wi-Fi yay best ever.. also the food is delicious and affordable best place too come for your morning wake up call thanks guys for being just around the corner

Food was average this time. Sudden change from late last year. Notice a significant change in food portion (smaller) but a slight increase in price. Not so good coffee. A bit too pricey to order from lunch menu ...I think I should start ordering from there cabin menu...kinda reasonable. Good service but abit too costly.

So some friends and family tried this joint out yesterday. Happy to say I enjoyed my meal. i ordered from the cabinet this time, a thai chicken filo wrap with a side salad.(pretty tasty) it cost me around $11-12. Hubby had the Pancakes with bacon ($17) where you got bacon sandwiched between 2large pancakes with whipped cream and maple. kiddies just had pies and our friends had the chicken & Avo toasted panini, quiche & nachos.(nachos looked disappointing though, they do need some work and a bit stingy with the corn chips)  i felt looking at the menu the prices where a few dollars too steep. plate presentation wasn't wonderful at all but yet not bad either. cabinet food looked very neat and tidy and fresh. coffee's were really good. however going back to the prices you have to consider that this cafe is in the heart of Mangere and for the residence to dine here it can be quiet costly to take a family out, i guess the advantage for them is that it's  close to the airport and surrounding motels so they would get a lot of travelers entering day to day. restaurant it self is tidy and clean.

❤️ been going here for years ‼️. Awesome food and good service. Great coffee and a wide variety of "hot chocolate". My favourite, mint hot chocolate.

Always top quality service and top quality food . Always hits me in the right places with their eggs benedicts and salmon. Good bakery range and also healthy options

It was my second time visiting this place for a brunch. And all I could say is " it has never let me down with its aroma and delicious meals". I would recommend it to anyone who loves a big appetite but still manage to spend less for a fantastic meal.

Always love the steak meal from Bake Haven, everything in this meal goes well together with mussel chowder yummy, generous portions.  Friendly staff, good customer service but needs more space I reckon, was waiting for a table along with some other people when we went the last time, but overall everything super OK.

Friendly, helpful staff. Food is great, huge portions in my opinion and super affordable. If ever you find yourself at Bake Haven, give the creamy mushrooms a go! They are beautiful!

Brunch today - amazing food & coffee<br/>Group of 5 adults and 2 kids well catered for. Steak meals - big portions and juicy, Mushroom breakfast was also good, pancake breakfast was delicious and such large servings!<br/>We were too late for the seafood chowder but the creamy chicken and pumpkin soups were some of the best ever tasted.<br/>Serving staff were super friendly and accomodating to our need for extra room lol Cannot fault the experience at all

Always super friendly. Food is great too. And the prices are reasonable. Recommend the special menu satay chicken on rice! That and the iced chocolate.

This is our local cafe, Its always all smiles, awesome service and excellent food with really decent prices ,especially for a large island family like mine :) I and my family have been going to this cafe for the last two years and it has always been an awesome experience. Definitly recommend to all who would like to experience the best.

This place was perfect! Great staff, quick service and a decent price. The variety is fantastic, have been back twice now!
