Review Lucky Cafe - Mangere

Been here a few times for coffee. Salmon fillet was a good size with hollandaise sauce, mushrooms and spinach. Very tasty. Staff are friendly and service is great.

Right in the middle of Mangere Bridge Township and a menagerie of cafes is The Lucky Cafe. Great for brunch which is what we had. Tasty and well portioned meals with outstanding service. Definitely an establishment to revisit. Nice job guys.

I had the steak meal very tender hot andd fresh worth the money an awesome seating for big a little groups didnt wait long at all for order definitely be there again

The food is always amazing and the staff their are wonderful and attentive. My son and I usually go there for breakfast or lunch every 2nd weekend great place for family lunch.

Securing a seat at this popular establishment can be a bit of a challenge on busy days. Nonetheless, during my initial visit, I thoroughly enjoyed the delectable taste of the dishes I was served and appreciated the generous portion sizes. The speed of service was also impressive, with all of our group's orders arriving at our table simultaneously. Our lunch was skillfully prepared and left me feeling completely satisfied. Furthermore, the option to dine al fresco under umbrellas on a sunny day added to the overall enjoyment of the experience.

Thank you for accommodating a huge group in your space. Food was impeccable and service was top notch. Will continue to return for the portions, quality and great prices. Thank you Lucky Cafe!

Everytime I come here I am never disappointed. The food is amazing (even though I only order the chicken melt) but my kids and partner always leave satisfied with their differences choice of food. The customer service is great also, very friendly always smiling and checking to to if we are okay and if we need anything else when food is delivered to our table. Overall, I have never had a bad experience here with the food, the venue or the staff💯

Really enjoyed the breakfast. Wife had an amazing omelette and I had pancakes with blueberries and bananas. Yum. Nice diner atmosphere.

They make great coffees and hot chocolates! Food is in generous servings for what you pay. Creamy mushrooms my fav and always served with a smile 😃 particularly Sam but all the staff are tops!

Pleasant cafe on a pleasant strip. I usually get the steak meal. Large portions, tasty food, good value. Nice, warm atmosphere. My brother gets their chicken meal and that's yum aswell.

Went there today for lunch & had the blueberry pancakes. They were thick, hard to chew & had no taste what so ever. Tasted like cardboard. Will definitely not be coming back.

Wasn't too happy with the eggs benedict I ordered as this isn't how I prefer it..eggs n bun were small and sauce lack taste and watery.. Coffee was great BTW, visiting again I don't think so👎

always go here for breakfast and get the C.A.B chicken avocado bacon sandwich with a side of creamy mushrooms, crisp crunchy fries as soon as you bite into them they crunch and give that nice salty oily goodness massive grilled chicken bacon and avocado sandwich with salad in it and yum creamy buttery mushrooms staff very friendly good place to go - yum frappes aswell

Good value for your money! I actually was full half way through my order so for me it’s definitely value for money. Didn’t really enjoy their coffee but otherwise it’s a nice place!

Staff are always friendly and efficient.Food is real tasty.Meals come out hot fresh off the grill and smelling amazing.Very generous portion size!good for hearty appetites.Good variety of meals, sweets and beverages.Great value for price. Favourite meal is the Old Style Breakfast with creamy mushroom sauce.Cafe itself is small and can get cramped when its busy, but other then that food is great staff are awesome and place genuinely has a nice vibe to it 😊

I love this place! The cleanliness is top of the charts, their cookies and cream frappe is to die for and the people that work there are approachable and nothing is too much trouble- they even cut my cake in half for me. The food always comes out hot. I’m also a secret fan of the kids cookies.. mm marshmallows. The coffee, while not being my favourite brand, is always well blended and I’ve never not finished it.

Every morning I'll have to stop here for a my main brunch (Eggs Benedict with salmon + mushroom sauce and coffee) food is delicious, warm and also fresh when its on the plate. Friendly workers and friendly area, area inside and out where people can sit and enjoy what they are having.

Absolutely love this place, food is delicious, service is great and the cafe is clean. Me and my partner ordered a chicken melt, steak meal, cement mushrooms and it was around $50 extremely filling as well. Would highly recommend

I love this place. Staff are so wonderful and inviting. They are always helpful and so are their customers who dine there often. I bring my baby in the pram and can get quite tight in there but they don't mind. Food is great value for money and yummy food. Large portions too. I love their mocha. Ordered a bacon eggs Benedict, which arrived 20 minutes after ordering and only came because we queried where our order was. When it did finally arrive, the bacon and the egg was half cooked. We couldn't even try it for fear of the consequences of eating half cooked food. So we returned it and got our money back. The service was slow and the attitude of the counter staff when we queried where our order was not acceptable. Especially after she demanded to know how we got the order number - which was stupid, as they gave it to us when we ordered the food. Needless to say, we definitely won't be going back there again.

Always nice coming here for a cheap big tasty meal ! Service is great ! They always have the nicest mannered girls on floor which is great. Flies are the only problem here but there not much u can do when it's an "open door" area. <br/>Coffee here is always for me a "hit and miss" but enjoy everything else :)

This little Gem of Mangere Bridge was a delight to dine at for my daughters 19th Bday Brekkie.<br/>We arrived at 9:15am ordered By 9:30am and food arrived 9:45😁 Which was amazing fast considering how busy it was when we arrived & the amount of dishes we ordered.<br/>Food was 👌 Seasoned well and Piping hot!.<br/>Hubby loved the Eggs Bene & the kids really enjoyed the 🥞👌<br/>You have to be a little earlier if your dining for more then 4 especially for parking.<br/>No complaints!. Staff were very friendly and helpful but the food😊<br/>Can't wait to go back💓

Very disappointing customer service so we went and ate elsewhere!  This Cafe can learn from Cozy Cafe in Onehunga where the services is excellent and food is great every time!  Get your act together Lucky Cafe as you did not have Luck on your side today!  Plus, you need fly spray to get rid of all the flies buzzing around in your cafe!!

Been here a few times. The service can be quite slow sometimes. I once waited 40 minutes for a bowl of cheese and bacon wedges. After 15minutes when my friend already finished her bacon and egg muffin, I asked if my wedges were on the way. Another 20 minutes later I asked at the counter about the wedges and they said it was still on the way. 5 minutes after that I finally got the wedges.<br/><br/>The best thing from the menu is the chicken melt. Large portion size, nicely seasoned and good value for money.

Had a large size Flat White for only $ 4.50. What a lovely price! But personally, it's tasteless and left a big vacancy with nothing in my mouth. Service was nice and friendly.

I got here around 8am and we were lucky to miss out the busy line and no seat which everyone was talking about. We ordered egg benedict with salmon and toasted chicken delight. I loved the portion of the latter meal because I'm a big fan of large portion haha.

Never dined in Mangere Bridge before and there were at least 4 cafes next to each other. We chose randomly and it was a GREAT decision. Mocha and Caramel Lattè were great! 5/5. Eggs Bene with Salmon and I have to admit.. the second best tasting Hollandaise sauce!! Prices are very comparable. Staff were very friendly and the only draw back was the cafe was PACKED and waited a while for a table but waiting was definitely worth it. Will definitely come here again. Limaono

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: with a counter full of food and generous servings, I can see why Lucky is popular along the Mangere Bridge strip. The cafe itself lacks style and uniqueness but has ample seating on the outside (great for people watching!). <br/><br/>FOOD: I had the blueberry tart which had a nice texture but would have been nice if served with a bit of yoghurt. My friend had the corn fritters which appeared overwhelmed by two massive pieces of bacon (great value!). The large serving of salad was probably unnecessary.<br/><br/>COFFEE: smooth and strong tasting.<br/><br/>SERVICE: efficient if a bit robotic. <br/><br/>Overall the cafe was a solid experience but it simply lacks personality.

Love it here, always my first option when I'm in mangere bridge. Great food, great beverages, great location and great customer service always patient when I cannot make up my mind. Meals are huge and so filling at good prices. Love thus place.

This is one of our local cafes. These guys are great, the staff are efficient and really friendly and service fast. I get my morning coffee from here every morning @ 7am and they start making my order as soon as they see me. They make a salad called the Toasted Chicken Delight. #21 and it comes with grilled chicken, seasonal fruit and crispy noodles. whenever I have lunch down @ LC. I will have this, w.out fail.

Lovely little café, cabinet food always looks delicious and fresh. the coffee is great. and they do have a rewards card, buy 9 get the 10th free. have only had lunch once before and the Chicken grilled banana salad was really good. the meals I have seen come out are always large portions and look great. average café prices. only down fall is they need more seats and tables. they are always so packed out and we are guilty of sitting next door but had purchased from their menu.lol I definitely will be back.

I have been here quite a few times, but just to buy food to take away from the cabinet, not to sit down to eat from the menu.  The cabinet food is quite good - sandwiches, cakes, quiches etc.  Quite good quality, medium sized but good prices.  It can get a bit crowded sometimes.

Lovely little cafe, with lovely people I usually go for breakfast on Sundays with my partner and we take our little dog. Love it how they are so pet friendly and have dog bowls available for customers to use.Awesome

Fathers Day 7/9/14. Was busy, managed to wait and get table of 10 ppl. Bfast was good, just normal not too flash. Services was spot on and very kind workers. Had a nyce bfast environment and my coffee Soya Mocha beautiful

I love this place! I've taken friends and family here just as a casual treat. I usually get the pancakes with bacon, banana, cream &amp; maple syrup, the best combination! I've also had the open steak sandwich which was really good, I especially love the chips! Try it when your in the area, good food, good service-what more could you want.

Love the breakfast menu. Yummy creamy mushrooms, yummy French toast, yummy flat white and yummy prices

This is a favourite for my family - wide range of food choices including some gluten free for the coeliacs of the family. When ordering a shake for my non-Coeliac daughter they reminded me it had gluten in it - I hadn't been there for about 4 months but they remembered. Have never had a bad experience here.<br/>Only negative comment - too many people feel the same way as our family and it is always very busy so seating can be a mission at peak times. Service is fast and efficient no matter how busy though.

This is a nice little cafe with lots of different choices available for lunch. I found my Eggs Benedict very yummy, although maybe not the best one I've had. My hot chocolate was yummy too. However, the pancakes that my boyfriend ordered were a bit tough and not that great. Overall we had a good experience, and I might come back one day to try a different dish.
