Good customer service and decently priced with awesome specials! The fish and chips tasted great! The batter is done well. 7/10

Short of one star because we waited half an hour for $8 chips and 2 burgers xD kinda disappointed with the cheeseburger though. Was expecting fresh lettuce, beetroot and tomatoes like other takeaways... But they ain't like other takeaways so it's ok. Lovely service though :) This is $8 chips and the veggie burger. Other than that, it was nice for a change

The hot chips is not fresh like before. The fish is ok and the mussels are yuum

The sausage wasn't great but fair enough since it's $5 for fish, sausage & chips. Egg burger wasn't good. For that I give 4 stars

Actually, this was so much nicer than expected. Good value, not too fatty. And yummy.

Great place ,they cook it how you want it cooked , you want crunchy chips thats what they give you not soggy oily chips like some takeaways , and the fish is nice to yum yum.

Went here after The five week lockdown in August 2021, I took a bite of the first chip and said to Sarah, this is the greatest chip I have ever tasted in my life. Then I had the two juiciest plumper scallops I’ve ever had in batter with perfect snapper

Right in the center of Mangere, shopping area, parking on the road. Older Fish and chip shop, decor non existent but seats to dig and wait for your order. Appears to be popular with local customers. Able to buy fresh fish to takeaway or have cooked for you. Their special deals were really good value, my meal was really good, chips well cooked and liked batter on fish.

Went to this place twice as I like to buy fish n chips from fresh fish shops but I found this place quite oily when got it home but the main reason for not going back Is the attitude of the staff. I found them rude and abrupt. Customer is DEFINITELY NOT right at this establishment. I got fish/chips & mussels and it was soaked in oil.

I used to go here for a lot, but since they refused to give me what I ordered after I returned with the incorrect order (all their fault), and they tried to blame me for taking the wrong one, I will never return here.  Extremely rude!

Have been coming here for years. Always love their $4 lunch packs & especially their $7 special.<br/><br/>The staff are so kind and efficient. I always call and order my food over the phone. It is ready when I pick it up and always tastes great. Fish is never soaked in oil !!! <br/><br/>We often have the burgers as well. Steak/ steak & egg / Hawaiian. Always delicious.<br/><br/>Love our local.

The fish burger, fries and squid rings we got were so good!! But the mussel fritters were a big WTF like bro that was so disgusting words cannot even describe?! Like what was in them? It honestly just seemed like fried flour with mussel flavouring or something 🤢 and that’s what i was craving the most that even made me come there! Also the springrolls? The shit inside is so gross too 🤦🏻‍♀️ how hard is it to just make it like other takeaways! Normal with veges and its clear inside? This one was like dark with like oyster sauce or whatever inside ugh 😑 the size was huge aswell as the mussel fritters so i was excited until i tried it 😭 so disappointing.. but yeah fish burger is soooo good so atleast yall got something right 🙄 <br/><br/><br/><br/>P.s add less salt! Tasted like a whole bottle was poured onto the fries geez 👎🏼

Haven't been here for many many years but tried it as my usual was closed.  Just got the bog standard fish and chips, and wasn't disappointed.  The chips were excellent and the fish large with a nice batter.  The fish was an unusual shape, it was very long and skinny, but hey, it tasted good.  Also nice to see they haven't increased their prices which I have noticed other takeaways doing.  As of writing they still had the $2 fish and $2 chips.  They also double as a good old fashioned fish shop and you can get any fish from the display cooked as well (for a higher price of course).

I always come here for the $10 special and the $6.00 special with the battered mussel on point hits that hang over all the time very cheap and yummy

The local fish + chip shop in Mangere Bridge is a definite go to for a cheap, quick and easy feed. With their awesome crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside chips, bomb as battered mussels and fish, you can't go wrong. The fresh seafood produce in the window display ain't to shabby either. Of all the fish and chip shops in the Mangere Bridge district, this place tops them all.

This place is one of our locals and our go to fish and chip shop when we don't feel like cooking. It may not be the fanciest of Hangouts, but we love their fresh snapper and fries! Always crunchy batter and beautifully cooked fish - simple and delicious!

just yer average fish/chip shop in midtown mangere bridge village, not bad chippies too.<br/>This place double up as a fish fillet shop too where one can choose a fillet from the window to cook for you to eat. <br/>Sorri  Fish fans but there is no living fish to see swimming and/or feed, as NZ has a sustainable fishing industry unlike in Asia where they will eat anything that moves in the sea from seaweed to the poor whale.<br/>fish fillet cost more in NZ than whole, therefore some of us like to keep cost down and buy fish living or whole or even better, catch it yerself for freshness too.

This place has the best Fish and Chips in town. Prices are good as well for how much you are getting. People line up for this. The store gets too crowded because of it so if you know what you're ordering, just give them a call and pick it up when it is ready. We always order the $10 special; 3 fish and chips with scallops and mussels.

We ordered a piece of fish and two scoops chips. The man who served me was so grumpy. No smile. No thank you. Unpleasant. I didn't like the food. It's hard to get chips wrong but these weren't nice and after a few the local pigeons ended up eating most of the order.

Was on the look out for a good fish and chip shop after local one at Royal Oak had changed hands. Was recommended the F&C shops in Mangere Bridge. <br/>Fish and chips at Neptune fresh and not oily. Generous portion sizes and very reasonable prices.<br/>Snapper was the business.<br/>We asked to have the kumera chips separate and they were happy to accommodate.<br/>Was good to see that they sell fresh fish, reminiscent of an old chipper.<br/>Will be back.

This place is just down the road from us and is a nice takeaway shop for quick takeaways on a lazy, can't-be-bothered-cooking, night.  Only waited 10 mins for our food which is pretty reasonable :)

Our local chippy. The best way to order from these guys is by choosing your piece of fish and ordering just half a scoop, as their whole scoops are massive. Their freshly battered mussels are pretty good too and you can often be waiting in a bit of a queue on a Thurs or Fri night. Yes the fish and chips are oily. But what do you expect when you're buying deep fried junk food??

Great tasting fresh fish and seafood. <br/>My only complaint is the fish 'n chips are very VERY oily. As in dripping with oil, leaving fingers coated in grease. (blerk!)<br/>The second time I ordered from there I asked the Woman to drain the oil off a bit longer, she seemed a bit offended and said she always did. That time they were great, not greasy at all. <br/> Maybe on a busy night they don't take as much care? <br/>Their fresh wet fish is always good and very fresh. They only accept cash which is not a huge issue as there is a money machine a few doors down.
