The 5th Wheel has a ton of rightly deserved self confidence in their food. The burger I got was amazing and so big I almost had to get out the knife and fork. The staff where extremely friendly, something I wish more places had. The prices were more then reasonable for what you get and while I didn't get anything other then the burger and fries I will be certainly looking at some of the other menu items next time I go. TL:DR Definitely more then worth visiting if your keen for a solid burger and sides.

Best burgers in the region! But if you are there get some of the fried chicken too, it is the most tender chicken I've ever had. The old fashion silver bullet caravan with an outdoor eating area is perfect for lunch or summer evenings. It was a little cold at this time of the year, but they offer take aways. The packaging it is served in is environmental friendly.

The burgers are Amazing!!! Also had the fries, they were amazing too!!! Loved it how u can huddle around the outdoor fire to eat or wait for your burger! The staff are super friendly. Love it!

Love the food here, staff are super friendly and they will happily swap gluten free/salad instead of a burger buns for no extra cost. Worth the wait on a busy night!

Food was excellent, nice as you could have as a burger/bun or the equivalent as a salad. We had the salad which made a nice change. Good size portions and nice older music playing to complement👍 Would recomend

Fan-bloody-tastic burgers and trad milkshakes are my fave raves here, along with the chill vibe and outdoors setting (the fire on cooler days/eves is a welcome addition) This is real food cooked well so don't expect to be in and out in 5 minutes, take time to breath 👍👍

I was told these were the best burgers in the country. Before having one I was skeptical but I tell you what, they just may be. I tried to think of a better burger, fergburger came to mind but this man from Otago has brought something better to Mapua. Thank you very much.

Maaaaaate! The 'Spicy Bull' was by far the best burger I have ever had... nearly shed a tear when I got to the end of it. It was just that good, and the loaded fries were top notch as well ;)

We had the blue moo burger, buttermilk chicken and spicy beef balls, all absolutely amazing, a must for anyone visiting mapua

We just had the Blue Moo & Saucy Bird burger, loaded fries, cauliflower bites and southern fried chicken. Wow guys! Super impressed by the presentation, portion sizes, flavours and general yumminess! We’re locals and have exhausted the wharfs menus! So thanks for giving us a new hotspot to enjoy! Especially with a newborn on the way in April and a toddler running rings round us, good to know another hotspot to gain some naughty sustenance! Keep up the good work! Will you be leaving in autumn/winter??

Some of the best food I've had in the area. Great set up, good music playing, nice staff and excellent burgers. Overall just a great experience. See you again soon.

We had these burgers for the first time Sunday lunch and wow so good we had the blue moo, amazing flavors real meat , heaps of blue cheese and mushrooms. we will be back great work guys.

Our whole family really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and affordable food. Excellent quality burgers that were a notch above any burger we've tried.

The best burgers in the district for sure...best I've actually tasted ever!!! ...plus Geoff is super friendly and goes out his way to help ....gave my 9 year old the best birthday party ever ...that's where she wanted to go ...so last minute Geoff made it happen ....wonderful team great food ....the hot chick is just too tasty ....excellent place .....

Yum yum yum! My husband and I with two kiddies and my parents came out tonight! Awesome set up! The burgers were bloody amazing! Something different to the same old flavours and fillings. Really enjoyable! Even love the wooden games to keep the kids (and big kids) entertained while we wait. Dad even said it was an amazing burger! Now that’s saying something!!!!! Awesome stuff Geoff and the 5th wheel crew!

Fantastic family feed at the 5th Wheel, Mapua. Friendly service and we relaxed at the comfy table area with the kids and played with the fab traditional wooden games. The food was really delicious - try out the cauliflower in spiced batter with maple syrup - yum! - and so great that all the wrappings were compostable. Well done 5th Wheel, awesome work and highly recommended! :)
