Review Spices Of India - Masterton

Amy Atkins
Seriously cheap! I had a wonderful lunch here. I enjoyed their Samosa Chole Chaat! It was very deciduous and enough to enjoy as a meal in its own or with a bread. Their na’an is decent and their Matar Paneer was tasty, too! My friend had their Rohan Josh, which she enjoyed a lot. The prices are unreal! So cheap! Highly recommend going!

Vegetarian options. We had Samosa Chaat, Garlic Naan, and Roti. Samosa Chaat was great - but note it’s more “restaurant” style than “street-food” style and more like Samosa Chole Chaat (with chickpea curry). Naan and Roti were okay but not as thick and fluffy as I like and have had elsewhere. Over a good restaurant and it was EXTREMELY well priced.

Firstly, I just wanted to say that personally, I LOVED the Butter Chicken! I also liked the fact that the restaurant had a kids menu too, so that my little sister could enjoy the food as well! Another thing I want to point out about this great restaurant is that the staff was very friendly too! Good customer service! Best Indian Restaurant in Wellington! Definitely deserves 5 stars! I am very satisfied with this Indian Restaurant I Would 100% Reccomend you to go to this restaurant :)

We called ahead as we were pushed for time on a road trip. The food was ready when we turned up and of a very high quality. Very friendly service.

I am from Auckland and have had curry from over 100 restaurants and takeaways and this place is the best I have been to. Taste of the curry, naan and service amazing. Would recommend

My number #1 for Indian in Masterton. Been here a good 25times in the past few years. Always delicious. Service is great. Fresh food. Best prices around for lunch and for tea. Best Garlic and cheese naan.

Absolutely stunning food with great prices. The service is so personal and thoughtful it's almost like being in someone's home not a restaurant. This is one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever been in, this is the place other restaurants should strive to be like in regards to cleanliness. My family loves this place, we highly recommend. You must have the onion bahji.

Spices of India is located on Lincoln Road just off the main drag through Masterton. They served up really good food. Including their child-friendly butter chicken, which was excellent. The surroundings of the restaurant were pleasant, relaxing and vibrantly themed. The service was quick responsive, friendly and helpful. We hardly had to wait at all. The prices were also very good. Overall, by far the best indian meal we have had in a while. I highly recommend this restaurant to all lovers of good quality Indian food.

The best Indian Restaurant in town!! Their taste is just quite different from the other Indian places. They also give you pappadums as a starter!! Service is good and the seats and ambience are great too. We will always go back to this place. Try them out too.

Amazing food! Full of flavour. The samosas are delicious and vegetarian options plentiful. Lovely service with good management and wait staff. The prices are really reasonable too. This is one of my favourite Indian restaurants, albeit I live in Wellington City, I always dine at Spices of India when I'm visiting my dad in the Wairap 😋

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, the restaurant was quiet which suited us perfectly. We both had butter chicken and Naan bread. Service was quick and everything was hot and fresh. The butter chicken was beautiful and full of flavor and there was the exact right amount of everything! The price point was really reasonable we were very pleased with the whole experience. Thankyou Spices of India we will be back in the future 🌿

Perfect small town Indian restaurant. Usual menu, well cooked, good drinks, quietish, friendly and reasonably priced.

I dine here a few times a month -- just often enough for the proprietor to remember my favorite meal items. I'm always greeted with a smile. I specifically recommend the Mango Chicken and the Lamb Vindaloo, cleaned up with the garlic naan and washed down with a cold Coca-cola. That's my usual order. The dining room is spotlessly clean, and the service is swift, elaborately courteous, and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Recommended!

Great food and atmosphere. The service provided by the waitresses was outstanding, faultless. We will definitely dine here again. 100% recommend.

Best Indian meal I’ve had!!!!! The service is friendly and genuine. Food superb. We had a family gathering but would come back to enjoy in a romantic setting also, as the ambience is on point with lighting and great Indian decor.

Went for lunch today and it was amazing! So tasty so reasonably priced! And the service is next to none. Highly recommend. First time I have ever written a review but felt it was worthy

Average! Takeaway - we got two curries both med. One was so mild and one was so hot. We also got a starter and it was so oil drenched we didn't even try it.

Yummy i ordered to takeaway we had butter chicken, rogan josh & tikka masala we had free popodoms and had ordered garlic naan bread. Oh we loved it. Haven't got a moan for this place. The service was great and so was the food.
Octagon Pie
Last time i went here was in 2012, but oh my were the meals good! They were packed with flavour and generous from what i remember! I would absolutly love to come back here again sometime
Food Mm

Been here 2 or 3 times now, both takeaway and dine-in. The dine-in experience is great and on par with the upper class Indian places we've been to in Canberra and Wellington. Value is about the same as most Indian places.. It's easy to order too much! Only thing wrong is we find most dishes too sweet, but flavour and spice amount is good.

Great service and lovely food, nice to have a good curry house rather than tired bistro types like Iberia and the like. Well done, your serving staff are friendly and it was a pleasure to go there.<br/>I can recommend the CHicken Tikka Masala, I also like the "heat" of the curries, not bland but accurate to the medium rating. We will see you again when we are next there. Thanks

This restaurant has never failed in quality and service. Heartily recommend. Bigger parties provide no barrier and the range of choices by people seemed to present no worry to the service staff and/or chef. Just as delicious for smaller parties. Attention excellent. Decor relaxing.

A great little Indian restaurant, that we will continue to visit time and time again. Friendly, clean, and with excellent service. BYO is a real bonus also. The Dahl Makhani is a real favourite, and free poppadoms to start is a nice touch. Consistently great food, seemingly, no matter what you order. A guaranteed good night out.
