Beautiful food and service! The steam buns and fresh spring rolls are a must try but everything is great! Authentic and yum vietnamese food which is convenient and very reasonably priced. Great for a healthy Friday night takeaway option.
Beautiful food and lovely staff. Mostly gluten free and almost entirely dairy free. Though it's a bit wet if it's raining and it's at the expensive end of takeaways.
Love this food truck! Food is authentic, fresh, tasty & consistently great. Staff are very friendly & welcoming. VietQ is definitely a real asset to Matakana.
Fresh and tasty these rice paper rolls were very well put together the vibrant colourful look almost makes them too pretty to eat, my only criticism is the amount of coriander being used was slightly overpowering and I couldn't taste the other flavours as much as I've had liked. Other than that awesome on the go food, staff quickly prepared them only had to wait approx 10 minutes but unfortunately at some points I felt like one of the staff was a bit rude like she couldn't wait for us to leave even though she wasn't busy, all rudeness aside it wasn't enough to put me off this healthy Vietnamese take aways!
Always my first choice for takeaways in the area, has never disappointed me.
I love their food and that there’s always something different to try on the menu every week. It’s delicious and you feel good after your meal. Very friendly people and ordering via text is super quick and easy. Also love that the prices haven’t changed much over time compared to other places in the area. Good options for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free.
Delish fresh meals, fast service and great value for money. The vegan Imperial roll meal and the bbq pork belly bao are especially tasty!
Good food, friendly staff, I'll definitely be back to try some of their other dishes

We were heading to Omaha for the weekend and this place was recommended to go to for dinner on the way up.
We tried the crispy noodle chicken salad, lemongrass chilli chicken salad, and a steamed pork bun and pork belly bao. The pork belly bao is definitely the highlight and is 10/10, beautifully tender and the bao has the most delicious sauce on it. We have since been back and just got a whole lot of bao rather than ordering any mains 😅
The lemongrass chilli chicken salad was also a winner, packed with flavour while also being very light and fresh, I would happily order it again. The crispy noodle chicken salad was nice but I would order the lemongrass (or lots of bao buns) over it .
Was not so much a fan of the pork steamed bun, nothing wrong with it but the flavors are not as good as other dishes, also it has an egg in the middle too which was surprising
All in all this is a great place for food, good value delicious food and quick service, I will probably stop here for some bao buns every time they are open that I go through matakana now!

Viet Q catered our family reunion and I couldn't more highly recommend them. The food was delicious, they had vegetarian and gluten free options, and most importantly, both kids and adults loved the food.
We had fresh prawn and tofu spring rolls, pork and tofu bao and individually packaged mains - lemongrass chili chicken, beef, tofu - all with noodles and vegetables.
Viet Q were so easy to deal with, delivered the food on time to Leigh and are reasonably priced.
We had to feed 60 people and everyone was thoroughly impressed. If you need someone to cater an event Viet Q is a fantastic option.
So impressed at how painless it was to cater the family reunion and how fresh and yummy the food was.
Best Vietnamese in the Auckland Region, very fresh and tasty and such a friendly team. We always need our Viet Q fix when up at Omaha!
Stunning food and friendly attentive staff. I had lunch, pork and prawn rolls- and loved the food so much I returned for dinner- wonton noodle soup- Yum!. The main menu has some great options for vegetarians as do the options on the Specials board. Food made and served with love. Thank you Viet Q !
Loved the wonton noodle soup today ... but I've never had a bad meal. We're so lucky to have this tasty and healthy food that is cooked and served by warm and friendly locals. So popular that I would recommend pre-ordering! Love, love, love!
