Review O-del-emz - Matamata

We stopped in at O-del-emz for an unexpected late lunch. What a delight. Almost closing time, but the owner and staff made us feel entirely welcome. A Chicken salad and delicious mussel fritters paired with a decent coffee was exactly what we needed. The lovely thing was we didn't get the hurry up to finish and leave. An eatery to be recommended.

Kai and kāwhe this Mōrena came courtesy of #odelemz in Matamata. Lovely place with ka pai indoor and outside seating. Awesome menu and delicious kai in the kai cabinet. Lovely atmosphere, with the hum of chatter, kāwhe being made, and quite music in the background. Kai was scrumptious, and the kāwhe and smoothie well made and very ka pai.

A local favorite of mine! Coffee I consistently fab, the banter between Derek and his loyal customers is always on point! It's always busy and as they say, a busy cafe, great food and coffee! Today I branched out and ordered the seafood chowder. It was absolutely delicious and warming on a cold day! Love that it was Dairy Free and packed with seafood! Definitely value for money to fill my belly with fab omegas! Thanks Del and team! 👍👍👍😋😋😋

Awesome variety of healthy options. Gf, DF, paleo etc. In the heart of town close to the shops so you can shop and eat and eat and shop.

Opens at 5am making it a great stop for a coffee or something to eat. Great variety of pastries and food. Coffee is good too.

Off the main street, far end of a side street but still popular, which is a good sign. Five outdoor tables, complete with red blankets for the Waikato chill. Adjacent to a small leafy park which gives it a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of glass, on the three sides, it is at the apex of two intersecting streets. Only been here twice so far but the coffee has been good both times. Strong with good viscosity ( relative to what coffee should be) and satisfying mouth feel. Last trip I had the ginger slice, rich and satisfying. The staff are polite, efficient and invisible, just as they should be.

Awesome food! Very clean and tidy. Staff could be a little bit more homely, but nonetheless they're still polite.

Very friendly atmosphere. The food is beautifully presented and everything thing looks delicious. I ordered the omelet and it tasted as good as it looked.

I had the omelette!! It was so flavoursome, not over cooked like some usually are! My boyfriend had the French toast and finished the whole plate. Was so yummy !! I highly recommend stopping here if you’re a local or travelling through the town. Excellent customer service, my boyfriend and I stopped in for breakfast on our way back to Auckland. Staff are so genuine and friendly. The coffee was hot and stayed hot!!! Thanks for a wonderful meal guys ☺️

Great food and coffee! Hubby had chicken livers and devoured them, and I had mince on toast which was delish too. Place is pretty popular and lots of foot traffic as well. Would definitely stop for food again.

We stumbled upon this gem on our way to Omokoroa and we absolutely loved it! The cabinet food were very tasty, the Caesar salad was excellent, the coffee was great too! Most of all, their all inclusive non-discriminating attitude was the best in town. Make sure you stop by and support this local business run by these beautiful people! Xx

The cafe was recommended by the folks from the Tower Motel. I had the Lamb frys which was done with small roast potatoes for a change. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. My wife had a French Toast which was also delicious and beautifully presented. Again highly recommended.

Excellent customer service. I would reckon everyone to try there savoury scones which was very flavorful and scrumptious. The coffee was done so well which made happy and awake😋💃. Easy choices with great prices will make everyone day. Cheers!!

Good tasty food, loved the homemade toast with the meal though could have done with more than one slice with our meals. The creamy mushrooms were very nice with a twist. Nice clean tables and good indoor or outdoor options.

Had the absolute pleasure of stopping in here on our way from Mt Maunganui to Auckland. Beautiful large selection of cabinet food and some great menu items, especially enjoyed the mexe beef crepe and the iced coffee was great as well. Wonderful, inclusive friendly people, what more could anyone want. Stark contrast to the rest of the places in town!!!
