Review Dks Burger Bar - Matamata

Amazing! Seriously for value for money, highly recommend! We order from them regularly, I would recommend their CK's Burger or their Chicken Snack box! They are our usual's, and we have never had a problem. Also recommend their curly fries! Only complaint I would have would be that they aren't available all the time!

Huge portions. The hamburger tastes quite a bit different than an American burger, but good. I accidentally ordered what must have been the "everything" burger because it was like 3 meals stacked between the buns 😄.

Highly reccommend. This place has served one of the best fishn chips I've tasted in matamata, the store is on the main road, located amongst other shops, it has a eating area outside and it closes at 9pm.

Super impressed with this wee takeaway place! Food looked and tasted great! Wonderful service too! My partner LOVES chicken burgers and gets them literally EVERYWHERE we go. He said the one he had from DK's was definitely top 5! Massive complaint as he usually grumbles at many places

Stopped on way to Rotorua. Great Lime milkshake and very good chips. Nice when one is being sinful that I stopped at the right takeaway. Cost $

Always amazing! I literally could eat and crave DKs every night 🤣 the hot and spicy chicken burger is my all-time favourite burger! Highly recommend trying that, but everything they do is fresh and delicious 🍔 The service is also always amazing! Love love love

Ever looked at your BigMac (tm), and at the marketing photo of the BigMac and feel cheated? DK was the opposite of that experience for me. I was puzzled why a little "hole in the wall" burger joint would have such rave reviews, so (New year's healthy eating plans be damned), I tried the steak burger. Hot, juicy steak, cheese, tomato that didn't taste like damp tissues, lettuce that was actually crisp. Yum. Also, whatever was wrong with the "limp fries" reported by another reviewer has apparently been sorted. Mine were about as good as you'll find anywhere.

I was down from Auckland and saw this little Takeaways and thought I'd give it a go... And I was blown away. The pricing is great, the fish is fresh and falls apart, the batter is amazing, the chips are out of this world! The portion sizes are huge! The meal was so great that on the way back to Auckland that was the only thing we talked about! It truely makes me happy their as still places like this in NZ that don't overcharge for their food, it's high quality and they take pride in what they do. 5/5 recommended to anyone!

Excellent fish and chips Called in 2 weeks ago to try DK's famous fish and chips. Ordered x3 pieces of snapper and x2 scoops of chips. The fish was tastefully packaged separate from the chips in a recyclable cardboard thermal container. I should have taken a picture as it looked as delicious as it tasted. We were given x2 extra pieces of fish and heaps of chips that were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend and very pleasant staff

Absolutely delicious. We had the double bacon cheeseburger and the spicy chicken one. Wow, juicy and tasty and decent portion. Even the curly fries were awesome. Would definitely come back if ever passing through

Why did I never have this before? Fish was so fresh and not greasy, massive burger wow you are my favorite for sure. Lady serving was super nice and let me take my time to order. We live 25 mins away and when we arrive home all food was still perfect. Thank you

We stopped here for a quick bite on our way to Hobbiton and expected a quick meal to keep our energy up. We were surprised by the selection of burgers on the menu and blown away by how good the food was. Unfortunately, we were short on time so had to scoff the food but it was all top notch. I fully recommend the Q Prawn burger (never had a prawn burger before!) and the Snapper fillet. Fresh, tender, crunchy and delicious. If we're in town again I'll be going straight to DK's. EDIT: Hyperbolic perhaps but this is one of NZ's best burger and fish and chip joints, easy.

I loved how kind the staff in this place were. I’m gluten free and I always feel terrible for making a fuss but the lady that served me here was very helpful and went out of her way to make it easy for me � if I’m ever back in Matamata I’ll be coming back here! The food was delicious to!

The best Burgers I have tasted, My favourite though would have to be the Seafood Box, best value for money. The staff are helpful and do their best to make the burgers and the meals to your liking. The Owner is a family man with family values and they carry over to the way he makes his food, and it shows in the food.

Best burger I've had in a long time.. fresh tasty ingredients. The fish we got was fresh & cooked just right. .. best of all the batter was crispy & not dripping with oil!

Honestly the Best Fish & Chips we've had anywhere in New Zealand� amazing burgers too, all fresh ingredients. If your going through Matamata, make sure you stop for a burger, fish & chips or even a milkshake. The quality and service is 100%

We had a fantastic lunch there, stopping on our way back from Rotorua to Auckland. Get the snapper burger!

Best fish & chips in Matamata!! Also great selection & variety, good food & lovely service. We LOVE the crumbed chicken in the CK chicken burgers, and the chicken box is a favorite with the kids!
