For a breakfast stop for travelers going through or stopping in Matamata I recommend Ronnie's. The breakfast menu is worth it and the service friendly, warm and quick. It's the average run of the mill bakery. With lots of places to sit and eat, convenient parking coming thru matamata, friendly staff. The toilet is like walking the green mile 🤣

It was good lunch the egg Benedict 🥚 😋 with wedges n bacon 🥓 cheese topping I ordered iced coffee, and it was really good. No chunky ice in it tasted really yum. They have varieties of sweets. I love the small marshmallows in the ice cream cone 😋 Worth visiting Price is reasonable, giving the whole living cost going up. Lovely ladies at the front desk Thank you for your service 🙏 ❤️

$12.90 for big breakfast, so yum, bacon was perfect cooked, maybe staff can be more happy but the food is great

We love Ronnie’s. We always stop there for lunch when passing through Matamata. Such a huge selection of tasty treats, at a reasonable prices with friendly staff. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a really awesome feed here, stopped in on our way through town. The pies were awesome and the iced chocolate was perfect! All the ice was crushed so I got to enjoy the entire drink without half of it being wasted on big chucks of ice. Definitely would go back! Some of the plates on the stack were a bit wet though so make sure you get the ones underneath that are already dry
