Authentic Irish pub experience with outstanding food in a unique setting with amazing decor and atmosphere. We got the Irish stew and chicken platter. Both were amazing. The chicken was perfectly moist and flavorful not dried out at all. It came with perfectly seasoned and cooked vegetables that really added to the dish as a whole. The hearty and flavorful stew really hit the spot. The service was outstanding, coming by frequently to check in with us but not too much to be intrusive. If there was anything to complain about the meal, it would be the waitress didn't smile or seem cheery though definitely not rude or off-putting. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day. I would have preferred just a tad more smile or energy, but again she did an amazing job and was attentive. My husband didn't think anything of it; so it could also be personal preference.

Tasty as food and good selection of drinks. We shared a starter and pizza which was just the right amount of food. One of the few places open during Saturday day in the off season.

Firstly their supplier let them down, they’ve run out of Irish beer, everything no stout, red ale or even Irish cider, had to drink Pilsner instead. We got soup of the day and cured salmon for starters, the soup was very nice. The cured salmon was disappointing and highly advise to avoid it. The quality didn’t balance out the portion sizing and price point for house cured salmon. For mains, eye fillet, fish of the day, Irish lamb stew, chicken burger and beef burger. The fish was as you’d expect, nothing fancy but it is a reliable choice. The Irish lamb stew was astounding, nicely balanced and a great mash potato. Burgers were both okay, our group would recommend the chicken instead of the beef though. The burgers had large portions and hot food is always a people pleaser. The fillet steak was nice but definitely needed the garlic butter to make it a nice steak, all of the vegetables were nicely cooked and tasted great.

Amazing service and food, highlight being the stout pie and Murphys on tap. Service was warm, friendly and caring. Atmosphere is cozy and homely. Would recommend and would return.

Had pork belly bites for entree and it was delicious and tender. My meal was beer battered tarikihi and chips with a delicious salad. Highly recommend as it tasted so good

Always a great meal here, this time we tried the beef burger and the crispy chicken burger. Both burgers were tasty, with just the right amount of sauce, salad ingredients were fresh and plentiful(lettuce and tomato). Great spot, for a meal and a beer, after a soak in the hot pools.

Superbly run kitchen, the food was delicious and came out rather quickly (which was great because we were very hungry). The mushroom sauce was incredible, the chips were all golden and the side salad was seasoned to perfection. The star of the dish was out of this world, one of the greatest steaks I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The staff were all fantastically supportive and polite. The decor was absolutely hilarious and extremely memorable. You can’t have a bad time here!

I had a fantastic time at The Dubliner in Methven. The atmosphere was lovely and inviting, creating a pleasant ambiance. The service was top-notch, and the food exceeded my expectations. Don't miss out on the spicy chicken burger; it's a must-try! Pair it with a fine Irish whiskey, and your night will be a definite success.

Great restaurant and bar. Friendly staff, fast service and accommodating. Lot of vegetarian options. Recommend doing the Irish whisky flight.

Really cosy ambience. Delicious food, had no problems catering for my dairy free/vegan requirements. Kids enjoyed coloring and the ice lollies that came as part of their meal. Very caring service.

Great place! Food was tasty, and good portion sizes. Service was flawless, better than 95% of establishments I've been to. Cool vibes and proper pub decor. Can't go wrong with this place really.

An excellent Irish pub, and what a brilliant dining experience. Started with a delicious mushroom soup 10/10. Had the cider stew and stout pie which were rich and full of flavour. Had to try the baileys dome for dessert which was exquisite. The staff were warm, welcoming, and service was very efficient. Highly recommended 👌

Friendly wait staff and fantastic food! The bar stool seating ruins the atmosphere a little, I highly recommend visiting when driving through Methven and trying the pork belly bites.

Absolutely amazing service! The manager welcomed us with open arms even with a full house! We booked another table the following night! Much recommended! The food.... Well let the pictures speak for themselves.

The 300gm Eye Fillet has to be one of the best steaks I've ever had! The food overall was delicious, and the atmosphere was great.
