Review Discover Milford Sound Information Centre & Cafe - Milford Sound

Information and cafe. Staff are lovely. This is the place to park up your car for the boat tours - parking is 10 per hour. Drinks and snacks for the cabinet were available during opening hours, but the kitchen with the chalkboard menu was open 11am to 3pm. Veggie options were surprisingly available. Chilled place to warm up and have a snack in a stunning part of the world.

Cruise to heavenly experience.!! The cruise was perfect , a beautiful and sunny morning was a way to start the journey between the cascading waterfalls and stunningly majestic cliffs of Fiord. The cruise travels towards the open Tasman Sea at the mouth of the fiord before returning to the wharf. Definitely Recommend the excitement and experience ❤️

It's so good to have this one and only one cafe in Milford Sound. I can have a coffee and relax after dropped off my friends to enjoy the cruise. Snacks available and even lunch, kitchen opens for burgers and pizza.

Cosy place with great coffee and hot food. Not to mention plenty of information for other activities besides cruise. Place provides free water and public toilet. We had our lunch here with the savings parking at Deepwater Basin parking and 30 minute walk over here. We manage to see wildlife at the car parking area and even visitors taking close up pictures with them.

We all know this place is amazing. Here are a few things that we should know while visiting this place... Plenty of Paid Parking is available at $25 for 5 hours. Its a 10 minute walk from the car park to the cruise terminal. You can drive down all the way to the terminal if you have kids or elderly people but you can't park there.. only buses are allowed. Drop off others right outside the terminal and drive back to the car park and you do the walk yourself. We booked with mitre peak cruise and only had complimentary coffee on board. No snacks... your only option for food/ snacks is at the Cafe near the terminal. All the food we tried at the cafe tasted good. There are restrooms available both inside and outside the cafe/information center as well as in the cruise terminal. There is a petrol pump/ servo for petrol and diesel.

Make great coffee and sandwiches. Friendly staff. Wonderful views.

What a fantastic cafe in Milford Sounds! Although they’re the only game in town, they have great service, and more importantly excellent hot food with a wide variety at a very reasonable price. To be honest they should charge more than $5 for their hot chips and wedges - it’s delicious and well deserved after a cold day out on a cruise.

Simply awesome, outstanding, beautiful, out of this world. Scenery and attractions second to none. Boat trips simply wonderful, people all lovely. What a magical day. John and Maureen Blake

So grateful to be experiencing this tour during closed borders. I'm sure it would have been a far different thing if the 30 empty tour bus parks had been full. Wonderful that Southern Discoveries is in partnership with DoC and local authorities on conservation projects.
