Waihola Fish and Chips...Dude!!! I was super impressed. The seafood basket was a great value for the price, and it was more than enough food for two people. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were crispy and delicious. The seafood basket also came with a variety of sauces, including tartare sauce, tomato sauce, and aioli. I tried all of them and they were all delicious. You can also buy the sauce separately. Muslims should not order the hot dog if they are keeping halal. Overall, I was very impressed with Waihola Fish and Chips and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. REMEMBER IT'S TAKE AWAY ONLY. OPEN TILL 7.30 PM. TAKE IT AND IN 100 YARDS GO TO WAIHOLA LAKE..ENJOY..

Stopped here on the way back from Dunedin for dinner with my husband and it was the best fish and chips we have ever had! Beautifully cooked! Will definitely be coming back! 😁

Big, fresh and yummy blue cod and sole fillet. Jumbo sausage which my daughter can’t finish it but yummy. Big serving and friendly staffs.

Chips are always nice and hot and super crisp, and they give you salt packets instead of salting the chips for you so you can put on as much or as little as you like. The pieces of fish aren't overly large but they are fresh and very nicely cooked which more than makes up for it.

One of the best places to get a feed of fish and chips. Always like to treat myself to a good bit if battered sole or blue cod.

It's a takeaway, so atmosphere is what you'd expect. Food was great... we had blue cod and chips. Love that they had the option of a lemon as well as sauces for your fish n chips. Super fresh..

Absolute tops. These ladies were so nice and friendly, the food was super on point. Nothin' to it, a picnic table outside, bring your own beer and have a seat, best damn fried food within 100 km. Took some chowder home too, so so so good.

We had a lovely fish and chip lunch down by Lake Waihola. Lovely crispy batter on the Sole fillets and very nice chips. We will definitely do it again.

I so enjoy stopping here on my way to Dunedin from Invercargill. Meals are cooked in front of you. Lovely clean shop. Also food is so delicious😃

Sole fish, steak roll, a scoop of chips. Chips are crunch and soft. Definitely they use fresh oil. Roll was tasty. Sole fish..... The best sole fish in my life. They have gorgeous smile as well.

Atmosphere I starred as 5 because it is what it is, a small seafood takeaway. BUT it has 5 starred fresh fish and deliciously light crispy batter. Recommend +++

This is an absolute hidden gem , excellent service fantastic food highly recommend, we went there today for my dad's 81st birthday and went to the lake to eat and enjoy the day , this was what he wanted to do ,👍

They didnt have blue cod but I got the sole and it was beautiful light crispy batter so full of flavor and crunchy chips so yummy would definitely recommend

One of the best fish and chips ever! The batter was so light yet deliciously crunchy. I loved the variety of items that will cater to tastes and requirements of the entire family, including fresh-looking salads. If I were around longer, I would definitely buy several packs of the ready-made fish in the freezer to make fish and chips or fish burgers at home! I will definitely return the next time when I’m in the area!

This was such a nice experience. The shop did not have to show a lot on display, but everything on the menu was available. The lady waitress locked like she was running that shop for her whole life - so she knew how to make good batter and fry chips and blue cod very tasteful. We even got a fried pineapple which was very enjoyable. There were only locals in the shop during my wait, which is always a good sign.

Awesome fish and chips plus the bonus of sitting on the lakeside to eat them. Highly recommended.
