Review T.o.a.d Hall Store & Cafe - Motueka

The perfect place to enjoy a perfect breakfast. We stopped on the way to have a small meal but ended up ordering 3 things. Every dish (vegetarian) we ordered was amazingly perfect in taste. I would recommend this place as a must visit.

Best Seafood Chowder ever! Flavorful and many types of fresh seafood. The buttered toast it is served with is also thick and quite delicious. So many wonderful options here with fresh locally harvested items. Highly recommend for a pint, a charcuterie board, picnic foods for your road trip, or a healthy shake. Delicious and delightful stop that should not be missed if passing through the area.

Hadn't been to Toad hall for about a decade but decided to try it out again and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was . Staff were friendly and helpful. The food and coffee was of a high standard. The set up they have there is excellent and leads to a friendly and delightful atmosphere.

After much research where to Dine in all of the Tasman area while traveling through on a brief day trip, I am SO pleased this is where we chose. As a celiac, it is really important I make safe choices. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. Plenty of safe GF choices and yummy!! The store is gorgeous- wish I could buy it all! Decor was adorable. Art in toilets super cool! Def make the stop here! We went on a sunny Saturday over long weekend, anxious at first for potential crowds, but with so many tables and staff, there was nothing to disappoint!

Food and coffee was very good! Shame about the service which was very slow and a bit fluffy. Unfortunately what annoyed me the most was a young man in uniform who was clearly on duty sat at a table with friends for over 30 mins. His conversation was loud and involved a lot of swear words. I will be back as the food was very good but they may wish to give staff extra training on customer service.

Had a training morning fishing by Mot river. Was famished. Toad Hall smelled like just the thing. My Blue wharehou fish cakes were nice (I needed extra salt and chili 😁 which was available as sriracha), the falafel…was excellent! I had a super fresh orangey juice and my friend had a Blitzkreig beer. 👍🏼

Busy spot, even on a Monday afternoon, yet that didn't detract from enjoying wonderful, fresh food and coffee and happy efficient staff, all in a very pleasant environment. Would return anytime !

My sister and I had a lovely late lunch at Toad Hall. I had a very tasty Korean style chicken burger, my sister a really nice/large Vege nachos. Nice selection of beers and wines etc. Also great coffee. Highly recommend this place, but be prepared for a wait if you are coming at peak times, its very popular!

A really nice place to stop for lunch - in or out. Offer is large and various from burgers to soup to salades and do not forget drinks. You can have a healthy equilibrated local food and drinks here and this is what we loved. We had a Thai salad & Beef burger with a smoothie and a Good Gold plus a chai latte. Everything was delicious

Motueka is my home town I absolutely love the place and I'm proud to say I've been brought up there . I live in ch ch now but still come to motueka to see my family.i was just in motueka over Christmas and went to toad hall twice for lunch with my mum daughter and grandson and we love it there . food is great the wine is good and its a very friendly place . every time I go to motueka I always have to go to toad hall I recommend anyone to go there.

Absolutely beautiful cuisine. Friendly welcoming staff. Food is cooked well and whilst yummy is presented with a twist. pomegranate granite with tabbouleh and fresh gurnard. yum yum. Coffee is great too. Appetizing cabinet food and fresh fruit ice cream. Toad Hall has it all really. ��

Forever popular, regular repeat clientele. Spacious, great seating inside and out. Dog � friendly outside under the trees. Children � play area. Great cabinet and menu food. As always, simply the best. Amazing food, the Pork Belly burger is TO DIE FOR and one of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was "bang on", without fault and given how busy it was on Mother's Day.... 100%! Rock on Toad Hall.

One of the best vegetarian cooked breakfast I have ever had. Beautifully presented and definitely tasted as good as it looked.

Its an awesome place i used to go overtime to get my weekly smoothie but since a while it changed Im very dissapointed last Time i order a Berry booster couldnt even drink it i ll say more "eating" or the Flu fighter one the colour wasnt right like it used to be i tasted it and wasnt even right probably did They Forget an ingredient however i try again coz its one of my favourite place In motueka but unfortunetely it was worse wait for very Long Time to get a smoothie and at the end it was even good too much pieces In the smoothie again :/ and the service wasnt really concern what about They served They wanted just be fast

Best children's meal our 10 year old has ever had - amazing salad with activated nuts and crispy skin salmon! Seafood chowder was tasty and the lamb burger is worth having again! Thanks for the wonderful food and service!

My husband and I stumbled uponToad Hall whilst driving from Abel Tasman .... Great Vibe, wonderful service and delicious ice crea. I cannot recommend it enough. What a gem.

Toad Hall has it all, great food awesome atmosphere and caters for the whole family with a kids outdoor playground lots of indoor and outdoor seating and offers a great menu that is absolutely delicious!

This is my all time favourite place in Motueka! I visit everytime I'm out there, whether it's for lunch, a real fruit icecream or fruit and vegetables, you won't be dissapointed! Very reasonable prices and consistent quality and customer service!

Went there after a skydive trip for my daughter. First time to eat there but found it fantastic....great food and excellent service. Only rated it 4 stars cos no ones perfect.

Fantastic cafe to go with kids as it has a great playground. Great coffee, food ambience and ice-creams - and Juicies!

My fav place, the smoothies are awesome, the food devine and coffee is ALWAYS the best, and to top it off the service is fantastic and friendly.

The lunch was fantastic, the service was excellent . It was so warm & cosy inside especially it was freezing outside and snowing not far from Toad Hall.��

First timers but loved it......garlic bread cooked on site....and OMG the lamb burger was killer. Kids plater very clever and healthy too.
