Omg what a find Absolutely scrumptious bacon and egg bagel and such a huge plateful for only $14. Better than any other bagel I’ve had before. In fact price wise it’s the best breakfast/brunch meal I’ve ever had. The banana milkshake even had real bananas in it. The whole menu was so reasonably priced. The cabinet items looked yummy too. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. The nice extras in the bathroom were a lovely surprise and very kind of the staff.

I was walking around trying to find a cafe to have lunch, I went to a couple of different places and being new to the area I was using my intuition to guide me and like goldilocks the third place was ‘just right’. You are welcomed warmly and the vibe was cosy. I finally found somewhere that has coconut milk for coffee and the coffee was great! I ordered the popcorn chicken and added chips it was amazing. The chicken was crunchy and tender with a delicious coating. The chips and salad were great too and the Mayo went perfectly. I’ve found my new spot for coffee and food!

Love the village cafe Motueka! Staff were so friendly and welcoming! Great inclusion of te reo in their signs and conversation. Food was top notch! Perfect eggs bene! This place does a lot of good for the community so will definitely be supporting them again!

A friendly welcome, heart-warming foods complete our morning fix. My pancakes are amazingly so fluffy and delish while the salmon bagel have the freshest ingredients. Definitely worthy to try while in Motueka. Keep up the great job guys.

Stopped in after a week in Abel Tasman, 6 of us. Meals are great for the price, great taste and quantities for every member of the family. Take the time even if just passing through to get a coffee and something to eat. I recommend the popcorn chicken.

This mōrena found me at The Village Cafe, Motueka. Service was excellent even though it was really busy. Atmosphere was a buzz of conversation and soft music in the background. The kai was delicious 😋 and went down so quick. Today I had the Shakshuka with kāwhe, kaputino (cappuccino) and a banana and mixed berry smoothie. All of it was perfect. Definitely a popular destination and I can see why, 10/10 all around.

Great service ! Love that they’re using the reo Māori around the cafe and the food is tasty and fast! We got the haloumi mushroom bagel and vegan feast! Would highly recommend if you’re around
