Review Namaste Bar & Restaurant ( Mt Eden) - Mount Eden

A lovely little local restaurant, with warm, friendly service. The vegetarian platter was crispy, tasty, served with a nice mint yoghurt raita and tamarind sauce. The samosa and hara bhara kabab👌. Chicken tikka masala and lamb saag were both excellent, the meat was really, really tender, and the curry sauce was deliciously aromatic and flavourful. Thanks so much 😊🙏

This place is a real gem! The food is amazing and we have become regulars... we have curries with garlic naan and all have been delicious with lean meat and generous portions. The owners are super-friendly and the service is great. I highly recommend you try for yourself.

Had dinner with my wife on a Monday night. We had Lamb Madras and Chicken Tikka Masala which were cooked to perfection with rich flavours and tender meat with no fat or gristle. Great friendly service. Will definitely eat here again.

Hi Food was outstanding and usual a hearty portion. Our favourite butter paneer and Dal Makhni were exceptional. Naan was also fluffy and yummy. I didn’t take a photo, but overall very delicious food .. We will come back again. Thanks

It was great! The food, good portions, good stuff in the menu, the place is very neat and service is friendly and quite fast. I had the prawns masala with garlic naan and it was really good. We will totally go back 👌🏽 Updated 25/5/2021 The butter chicken is absolutely the best, I also recommend 100% the vegetarian platter with samosas. I didn't like samosas until I tried the ones at Namaste. Amazing stuff! I keep coming with my partner and my best friend, it's my fav indian restaurant around the area. And Puja, the waitress, is such a lovely girl 😁 New update on 10/June/2023 Namasté has re-opened and tonight we had not only a wonderful meal but a lovely experience. We had the veggie platter, which contains a bunch of different indian snacks, and then Veggie Korma with garlic nan - did not disapoint. They gave us complimentary mango lassi and the service was super friendly. We love Namaste and always come back🙏🏽

Butter chicken was good - not overly too sweet yet still tasty. Naan was soft and good<br/>The fish curry wasnt to my liking but overall was ok.

Great little restaurant in Mt Eden. We ordered a variety of dishes including Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh. Food here was very authentic and great value for money. Service was also excellent and great ambience.Will definitely be back!

My husband and I hit this place up all the time. It honestly satisfies every time and the service is always friendly. Good levels hotness and of flavour and the nann bread is always fluffy and fresh. Absolutely recommend!

4 times I have placed an order with this restaurant and each time something is missing. Three days ago same thing happened again, I called them the following day and no compensation :( I had to ask for my money back and I was told to email them. Still no resolution.

Hungry, I picked this restaurant at random. I was not disappointed. Excellent food. Their Paneer dishes are delicious and so was the Cheese Naan bread. Generous servings on top of that. I liked the choice of a full serving or a half serving. I'm not a big eater so this was perfect. Staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. I enjoyed my meal. The restaurant itself was clean, great atmosphere and pleasant to the eye. So will definitely go again when the next time I'm in Mt Eden.

(Highly recommend) the price is already reasonable but u will be getting a good feed with the lunch deal!<br/>All the curries we have tasted were authentic, fragrant and meat was tender. Their naan bread is fluffy and not burnt, try their garlic naan! Generous amount of garlic.

Had great Indo-Chinese food experience! Definitely would go again! Fried rice was just perfect. It's a good place for a lunch and small get together. Great decor and awesome service! ✌🏼

Been here twice. First time we were 2 families and the service was really good and the food too.<br/>The second time we were 4 families (including 3 kids). It was disappointing , we got the table at 5:30 and left the restaurant at 8:30( 3 Hours wasted). The starters came after 1 hour. And even the mains were really late on the table. The waitress said that there has been a take away order and they were shot of Chefs, but my point is they should have addressed the guest at the restaurants first than the Take Away order.<br/>I really liked the food the first time but honestly the second time with so much wait time I didn't enjoy my food.

Really enjoyed my lunch here. The $10 lunch special is absolutely fantastic. You get naan, a curry, rice and a soft drink.<br/><br/>Water was served straight away. The menus look great and the waiter was so friendly and helpful. He was so lovely and came regularly to check on us. Big thumbs up to him!<br/><br/>The dining area is small but tidy and neat. Nice table settings and furniture. Very comfortable.<br/><br/>The mango chicken curry had large pieces of tender and succulent chicken. The butter chicken was full of flavour and I loved how they give you a poppadom as well. The poppadom was crispy and flavoursome with cumin seed scattered throughout.<br/><br/>I thoroughly enjoyed my whole experience here and will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful service.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Auckland. Great city great naan great time. I always enjoy the dhal menu<br/>Makhani. The other Curry's are also good. Go there now and never visit the likes of Satya or Indian lounge again

I ordered Lamb Bhuna in medium spice. Food is really nice and quality! The price is very affordable. It is very relaxing and clean place to have your meal. Highly recommended!

Grabbed one lunch voucher for only $ 10.00 which includes one soft drink, one Indian naan, one curry of choice, one rice and one small onion tapas. To me, all items were tasty and really high price effective. I was very satisfactory.

One of the best Indian food that I have had in Auckland..everything starting from basic dal makhni to lamb rogan josh..absolutely amazing..the place just gives u the right mix of ambience n food and the hospitable staff just tops of the meal..

The food here is always really good. Never had a bad meal here, and if you get takeaways from here, it's not full with a layer of oil on the top like other places. Only criticism I have is for the food to be a bit spicier if you ask for med-hot

Best butter chicken I've ever had! We got the butter chicken and Spinach Curry with Paneer, Samosa & Tandori Prawns. Tandori prawns were average, but everything else was delish! Great service too.

The MOST incredible Indian food I've had in a long time. Everything was so fresh. Favourites were the vegetarian platter and the saag paneer. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Hope this place stays around for a long time.
