The entrées where beautiful to snack on while we enjoyed our cocktails. Our main course chrispy duck and chicken cashew on rice both meats were moist and vegetables cooked to perfection. We also endolged in a thai mango on rice dessert melt in your mouth amazing. Food presentation was beautiful. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Definitely recommend 😀😀.

Moon, dui and staff went above and beyond for not only me and my mum(first time diners and first time eating Thai cuisine) but every customer they had! Food was absolutely amazing! Dui puts so much love into his kai! and all though we were beyond full, managed to eat their rice/mango dessert which was to die for! Nga mihi Duis Thai restaurant 100/100 across the board! Will definitely recommend and be back!!🩷🩷🩷

Wow, I was complimented being with friends who love Thai food. The Green Curry Prawns were spicy and hot. Loved it. The head waitress was funny and there was a lot of laughs. Watching her interact with the other tables, the customers loved her. Thank you for the wonderful meals served to our table.

A really welcoming restaurant, good menu options and the staff were really friendly & accommodating when it came to specific requirements. Shared the mixed appetizer & then shared the battered prawns. Really nice meal 10 King Tiger Prawn & an assortment of battered veges with a lite salad. A big meal for 2 people. Worth coming back in the future

This restaurant is fine dining with a good selections of wines, spirits & beers. They do not accept BYO .. past experiences confirmed this. On a recent visit a table of 6 brought their own wines. We enquired and were told that they were regular guests .. double standards. Not happy & will go elsewhere next time.

Fantastic Thai experience, thank you to the amazing staff! Went here for my son's 13th birthday and it exceeded his expectations (first time at a Thai restaurant). Shared 2 starters between 4 of us and then all had curries, more than enough food (had some takeaways at the end). All the food was rich and fresh as you'd expect good Thai to be. The ambience is lovely, unobtrusive background music and decorative Thai wall coverings and ornaments. But the staff topped it off, every member of staff we encountered were friendly, chatty and approachable. Really engaging, fantastic service, can't fault them. Will definitely be going back again, used to go to Collar and Thai in Tauranga so it's great to see another great authentic offering locally. Thanks Dui's!

Yummy food. You will like the service if you're a positive person 😁 I enjoyed having dinner there.

The food was really good, I would recommend this place to Thai food lovers ! Service was good, considering it was New Year’s Eve. Well done

Nice atmosphere in this little spot off the Main Street. My parents come here often and they had told us to try it out. All of our meals were delicious, the starters were generous and tasty, wait times fairly standard and no issues with service. Definitely recommend trying this place out if you’re in the area!

Owner is accommodating and nice. Great service, great staff and excellent food.

Beautiful Thai food. We loved it. Would love if you could serve boat noodles on your menu.

We went last night, for the first time, on a whim to grab some takeaways, and even though the place was packed (always a good sign) our large order was ready within 25minutes! Not only was it fantastic genuine warm service, but also, very prompt considering how busy they were. The food...... it was by far the best Thai I've ever had (Thai is my favourite, and I've tried most places). Our compliments to the Chefs, Host and staff Highly recommend. We will be back to dine in next time

Hands down the best Thai restaurant anywhere. The food is outstanding , delicious and generous and the staff are warm, professional and friendly. Once you go you'll keep going back. Thank you Moon and Dui.

Flipping amazing. Best Thai food in the country. Boss lady knows her stuff and the whole team - front of house and back of house - worked very well together, making our experience worth raving about.

What a rip off! I ordered c16 from the golden wok. I got about half a sliced chicken breast, 10 pieces of barely cooked cauliflower and broccoli and some soggy cabbage leaves, a cup of exceptionally bland cooked rice and a watery peanut sauce. How much did this cost? $30. The ingredients would have cost no more than $10. Didn't know that Thai's used cauliflower or cabbage. The two glasses of Pinot Gris were warm and the selection poor. Should have stayed at home.

Duis Thai restaurant is a cozy little restaurant just off Mt Maunganui Rd. From our limited visit to the Mount it seems to be one of the few Thai places available.
The restaurant is well presented and tidy, the waitresses also had dashing outfits.

I ordered a chicken rice dish for my main which was pretty good. It didn't have any 'wow' factor in terms of flavor but I left feeling satisfied.

The owner is very interactive with the customers which a nice touch.

I don't really want to review this place badly because the lady was so lovely but the food was awful. I got a takeaway cashew nut chicken and a tofu satay stir fry. My partner and I both had a maximum of 3 bites of our food and then threw it away. The rice was glugy and sticky, the cashew nut chicken bits were fried and then put in the sauce so went soggy. The food was just so so so flavourless. It's a pity, good customer service and well decorated place just terrible food

Terrible experience. Service was shocking, food below average. We ordered a starter and we were assured it was gluten free, when it was brought to the table it did not look it so I asked again to the owner/manager. She laughed and said yes - then no - and rudely said "well do you want it or not"? We asked for water and an extra serving of rice (because the rice servings are super tiny) and neither were ever brought! It was my birthday and we asked the waiter to take a photo and as I held my phone out to him he said something under his breath, grimaced and walked away. Basically this was a terrible experience I dont know how this place is still in business. Don't waste your money.

Great place to eat thai in the mount! Nice atmosphere, good service, amazing food. If you like Duck, the bangkok duck is out of this world! Kapkumakap!

Moon is so welcoming and the service is always friendly and prompt. My sister in law and I turned up without a reservation and had Pad Poh Teak and Yum Ped Yang. Both fabulous especially the sauce. Have also had lunch here -Gai Pad Med Mammang and various take-aways. Dui is a great chef and always delivers tasty food. Highly recommended. I love the decor as well!

Restaurant is beautiful, great atmosphere and hostess was great. Our entrees were great, however I ordered a Thai Soup and when it arrived I thought it was quite small. I ate it and it was very tasty, but I was still very hungry. When we went to pay, the guy at the counter asked if I had the small or large soup. It wasn't explained to me at the time of ordering that there were two options. This would have been great to know. Also we were charged an extra $2 for something? we have no idea what it was...rice??. All that aside, a very nice restaurant.

Went there for dinner last week with my Mother, she is a very fussy eater and yet she loved the food and ate all of her entrée and main meal, very unusual for her! The waitress was very entertaining and her service excellent. The portions were large and my Seafood Soup was the best I have ever had, very fresh seafood and a large bowl full. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, live in Auckland where Thai Restaurants are plentiful but this is one of the best Thai meals I have had for some time.

Really lovely restaurant, with superb hostess. However, when we had our food brought over by the waiter, he placed it down on the table. After I mentioned to him which meal is for who, he commented that we need to sort it out ourself. He is not there to sort out our table.
I found that was very rude, and not in the spirit of hospitality, especially when you pay for the meal.
Will we be back? Not sure.

I had my birthday dinner here a few weeks ago with my family. I have nothing to say but good things about the service and food. Amazing! They have a variety of different authentic Thai dishes on their menu, and all for an excellent price - best value for money! Will absolutely come here again. I cannot fault this restaurant!

Indulged in the take away option with my accomplices... Ordered a vegetarian dish (vegetarian pad Thai) as I have my own dietary requirements and to my surprise they put fried egg in it... VERY, VERY, VERY~ DISAPPOINTING and went in the bin. $18.50 I could have spent on something I actually ordered as this meal had no mention of EGG in it. One other thing we were informed that all mains come with a serving of rice. Ordered three mains got 2 servings of rice.

In my view I see this as ordering steak and getting cat food.

All other meals were supposedly enjoyable. But unfortunately due to the waste of my hard earned money I will not be looking in the direction of Dui's Restaurant Of Fine Thai Cuisine Mt Maunganui, Tauranga ever again...

Lovely Thursday night dinner and good service, even though the restaurant was full. Meals were tasty, though I thought that the Red Curry could have had more kick as it had to chilli's on the menu. We all enjoyed our meals and would recommend to out friends coming to Tauranga.

Beautiful food, dining here is always enjoyable we eat here on a regular basis and have never had to complain about the meal or staff. We would definitely recommend Duis Restaurant for real Thai Authentic Food.

Fantastic dining experience! We had Dui's Selection as an appetiser and everything was exceptional, and I had the green curry which was phenomenal. I love that they have their menu online as well, we had our meals picked out before we got there! The only thing I was suprised by was that there was an extra $2 charge for the rice, but overall the meal was very reasonable - it was less than $60 for an appetiser, two mains and a drink each - extremely well priced! Really lovely waitress as well - I would definitely recommend this amazing restaurant.

Food quite expensive for the takeaways, and very oily. Helpful and friendly staff tho.
Kasey
Lovely waitress! so friendly and awesome food to match. have had many different dishes here and they have always been really good. Would definitely reccomend Dui's to anyone who loves Thai food

We love Moons food! She is the best Matire D around! The food is extremely good, well priced. We have dined here on several occasions both eat in and takeaway. The spring rolls are amazing, the only ones like them that we can find, and the satay chicken is delish! For mains i always get the mussaman curry which is always 10/10. The food is always fresh, and the service is always tops. Keep doing the great job and we will be returning very soon!

This restaurant was the best experience I've had in ages! Our family shared four main dishes, they tasted amazing! We were told to stay ad long as we wanted and we were attended to frequently. I highly reccomend this restaurant! The service was high quality and friendly. The prices are great considering the service and quality of food! I fully recommend and can't wait to come back

Saturday night - wet and dreary night. This little place was full to the brim with only one table available. They managed to squeeze us in. Very intimate. Despite the disagreement between the staff at the beginning about the table this did not sour our visit. The food was exceptional and delicious. We only stayed for mains. We shared masaman curry beef and beef and oyster sauce vegetables with some Jasmine rice. $45 for two meals. Fragrant, delicious. Will visit again.

OVERPRICED - $2 for a scoop of overcooked rice dumped on plate by a (french?!) waiter before meal arrived.
LONG WAIT - we booked a table for 8pm and received our food at 9.15pm.
POOR QUALITY FOOD - My Bangkok duck was all batter - not usual delicate Thai style, more fish'n'chip shop style, Partners King prawns were obviously pre-frozen and over cooked, veggies nowhere near fresh - sauce seemed to be a dash of soy sauce at last minute. general taste of old oil used for cooking
OVERALL - did I say overpriced - $81 for two meals and two drinks (no starter!) in a quick fry joint!! One of, if not THE, most disappointing meals I've had in a long long time. :-(

The food was excellent, especially the fish curry and the coriander chicken. The staff are very friendly and atmosphere pleasant, a very enjoyable evening.

Great food, great service, beautiful dining area. Definitely the high-priced-end of the spectrum, but worth every dollar.

Excellent food, wide ranging menu, friendly and helpful service. A real favourite for me and I'm sure I will return many times.
