Review Fire - Mount Maunganui

Visited last night purely because we'd seen the beautiful upstairs lights from afar a couple wks ago. It just looked pretty,so based on that,we checked it out & it did not disappoint. The food, drinks, service, decor, attention to details were all on point. The meal portions were just right & unlike a lot of other 5 * restaurants, you don't have to eat beforehand. Lol! Well done team Fire, this was an experience we will not soon forget. We will be back & we will tell others. Thank you!😉👏👌💖

FIRE is the Hot new addition to a group of gorgeous resturaunt's. The atmosphere is warm and the food is delicious! The well rounded menu let's the ingredients ( fresh from their own Vege shack gardens) speak for themselves. I tried the crumpets and will definately be going back for them again, next time I won't forget to order tea ;)

We enjoyed a lunch out on the spacious covered outdoor deck which faces the large open space. Tucked away from road and pedestrian way makes Fire a quiet and relaxing place to enjoy conversation and good food. Liscenced, friendly and a variety of seating options well spaced from each other.

We have dined at No.8, an Asian fusion place and had really great food/service and so its sister restaurant right next door that shares a kitchen, Fire, attracted us with their menu items, location and chic looks and the staff again were welcoming. We enjoyed good service, drinks (Thursdays is discount cocktail night!) and the food was good (see the Ceviche pic, really fresh and delicious tuna yum) although we did return most of the fish of the day due to overcooking. the waitress and manager were very apologetic and discounted this and also offered our desserts gratis. this is a "premium" priced eatery and needs to deliver consistent quality to avoid customer disappointment, however we will be back as it was good and the menu is changed seasonally

Great food, nice venue. We sat outside and they put heaters beside us. Huge area upstairs. A fabulous meal,Wine and service.

Summary: Wow! What a great restaurant! The food here was amazing.. We dined for lunch with a large group of 8 including and infant and children, and were seated upstairs. The waiter was great, and the food was delivered promptly and accurately. Very good service throughout the lunch. The menu catered for many tastes and was amazing (buffalo chicken sliders and mushroom dishes were a highlight). On a par with some much higher priced restaurants. Reasonable price, and great atmosphere! The only negative was having to ask a few times for one side dish, but the staff were very apologetic and it was eventually sorted. We will be back!!

My friend and I were a walk in on a busy Saturday night. The cocktails were toe-curling good and the service absolutely fantastic and very personal for a full, busy night. Even packed, we still had enough privacy to solve all words problems. We were made to feel special, which was appreciated. Our new favorite hangout spot.

My partner and I like to have brunch at fire on a Sunday after a busy week. The service always superb with smiling, attentive and pleasant staff, the food is consistently excellent and we love the laid back atmosphere with room to park a pram. Would recommend anytime of the day for a meal you won’t forget.

Food was delicious with really decent portion sizes. Staff were lovely and super attentive. You could tell the guy making the cocktails was super passionate about what he does, and good at it too 👍. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a fantastic dinner at Fire last night, a special family occasion. The food was stunning and atmosphere was very cool but the best part of our experience was Ash. Ash made our night out really special, it’s rare to get good let alone outstanding service and Ash went above and beyond to make our dinner comfortable, memorable and made sure we were happy with everything. Can’t wait to go back! Totally recommend for a great night out.

Absolutely stunning dinner at Fire last night! Strongly recommend the Chicken and Waffles starter, my husband had serious menu envy. Lamb and Beef mains were exceptional and the cocktails to die for (if you love Espresso Martinis, you will love the Stingray Cole)

Salads were very disappointing We ordered lamb and ceasar. We left most on our plates. They also said our table was reserved. When we arrived it was not booked. Some of the staff were excellent and great house wines. Will stick to pizza next time

Had a great dining experience last night , Staff were very helpful in pairing wine with our beautiful meals. Loved No8 a few weeks ago and now not sure which of these two is our favourite. These have to be the best overall experience we have had when visiting the mount.

Fire What a great place to have lunch on lovely sunny day in Paradise! Service is outstanding without being intrusive. Recommend the Chicken burger. The vegan pizza was also great. I think the price was reasonable for my whole dining experience will definitely be returning

Took my staff to Fire for dinner & we loved it. Had a big group of 20 and they catered for all the dietary needs easily, fab service, lovely setting up stairs over looking the trees & we saw the cruise ship leave. Thank you for making our dinner special, we will be back soon 😊
