2019: Nice and close time the airport. Very layer back atmosphere and the service was quick, smart and chirpy. Any fliers onto Tauranga this is a must stop cafe to be 2023: friendly staff and the sides are bigger then expected. A nice place to relax while you wait for inbound flights if your taking or retrieving friends or family

The meal I had was nice and quick. The young lady who served me was very approaching. The atmosphere was very social and I do recommend classic flyers. Thanks :)

This place is AMAZING! Can't believe I've only just learned it's there! Had the eggs Benny and it was delicious! Well priced too. Definitely worth a stop in if you like planes too!

Coffee was lovely and hot and we were served very quickly. Food looked awesome.

I visited classic flyers with my family and had an amazing time. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about aviation. The team went out of their way to ensure that my kids had a good time and felt special. Great place to visit.

Always great food. Wet today but dogs welcome on tables in entrance covered area. Cold wet day but we both had the big cooked breakfasts and coffees. Excellent as is the usual here and prompt delivery time as well. Staff on top of their game, friendly and brought a bowl of water for the dog. Highly recommend

A fantastic cafe and museum. Events held here all the time from car shows to kids parties. Progressive managment are always adding somthing new!

Best plant based burger I've ever had for a very affordable price! The coffee was delicious and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The chairs and tables are a bit uncomfortable but otherwise I had a great time.

This place was a very pleasant place to enjoy a cup of coffee which was hot and strong. The muffins and cake where delicious. The food in the cabinet looked good also. Thoroughly recommend it.

Me and my family absolutely love it here! A relaxing atmosphere and such friendly and professional staff, great food. Awesome outdoor playground and even an indoor play area if weather is not so good. Lovely plane museum too. Definitely recommended for all ages.

One happy four year old, great idea having the coin helicopters and the paddle planes so cool. Older sons loved it as we all got to experience sitting in some! Food was so yummy but overpriced for the size, wudve loved a whole steak. Lovely service and smiles all around!! TY

Fantastic funky little cafe with great talented barista, staff were jovial and prompt. great music and several comfortable lounge areas around the cafe made it homely.

I had to wait at the airport in Tauranga so decided to go to the Aviation Museum and have breakfast at the Avgas Cafe. Great location and lots to see if you combine it with a visit to the museum. They have a great out door play area of old aircraft set up as a play ground for the kids. Lots to do and see for the whole family. Now to the food I had bacon and eggs which was really cheap and cooked just how I liked them. The coffee was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend as a good place to take the family for a leisurely lunch and afternoon out.

After a previous pleasant visit months ago I took family members for brunch. <br/>The service was poor and food was mediocre at best. I won't return.

Despite having a very average coffee experience a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would take my family visiting from Hamilton to Avgas and the Classic Flyers Museum.<br/><br/>Well, the museum was a great idea, but I rather wish we'd had lunch before we came.<br/><br/>I ordered the Eggs Benedict with bacon and salmon, not only did the food take a bit too long to come out, but when it did, the meal was very average. The salmon was slimy, the bacon average, eggs slightly overcooked and the potato cake it was served on was luke warm. Eggs Benny normally comes with hollandaise sauce, but on this occasion the plate came covered in an yellowy orange goop reminiscent of congeeled egg yoke, which tasted of absolutely nothing.<br/><br/>Other menu choices at the table were french toast (which was good, bar the accompaniment of burnt banans and bacon which wasn't listed on the menu - not ideal as one recipient was vegetarian, the other doesn't eat pig for religious reasons). There was also a chicken burger with very overcooked chicken.<br/><br/>All of this could perhaps have been partially overlooked, were the cafe not charging top prices for the meals - we made the choice not to eat on the mount main beach as I mistakenly thought Avgas would be cheaper. For $18 cafe meals I would expect table service, or at least faster counter service, and much better food.<br/><br/>Overall, a disappointment and we won't go back - although I recommend the museum to anyone who like planes! :)
