Review Bakeshack - Mount Maunganui

Love this place, especially the variety of food. My son always talks about this place so I met him for lunch. Those potato top pies were a winner for me. Awesome place. Well done BakeShack 👏

Yummy, delicious pies! They're too good and I love the Steak, Mushroom and Blue Cheese pie the most. Very good and when I'm not in Tauranga I'm very happy when I see a dairy stocking Bakeshack pies! The ham "big boy" rolls are also amazing but tend to sell out way faster in comparison to the other rolls. I think the ham rolls are the best, I wish there were more/extra to accommodate the fact they seem to be the fastest seller.

As a food tour guide it is always a pleasure to bring our local and international guest to Bakeshack for a fabulous Tradies Morning Tea experience. For over six years you folks have provided superb pies, custard squares, cream donuts and smiling happy faces when we walk through the front doors. We recently used the services of BakeShack for a Leisure Marching function. We were professionally guided through the process and the patience of the staff was outstanding. When I awoke on Monday the 11th of July 2022, little did I know the out of body experience that would await me at 1:03pm later that day. I entered BakeShack, eager to try their wide range of delicious pies. I reached for the Lamb and Curry. The perfect golden crust. As I entered my vehicle in the car park, suspense was unbearable. I tore open the paper bag and sunk my teeth into the delicious exterior. My eyes glazed over, flavour filled my cheeks. The perfect balance of texture, sweetness, savoury with just a little kick at the end. The lamb tender and juicy. While many would say I helped backshack that day by purchasing their pie….. in reality they helped me, they helped me discover the best pie in the country, and quite possibly the world. I will be back.

I have been getting excellent coffee and food regularly over the last 3 years. The service is excellent and given with a smile.

Hands down, best pies around. Good sandwiches too! Parking can be a bit of a mission but that the only down side

Good quality pies with reasonable filling quantities. A bit on the small side which is probably due to the price compared to other bakeries.

Was very impressed by the pies that were had this week. However was more impressed by the friendliness and service from one of the staff members. The young South African sounding lady with the pink hair was very polite and professional - impressive to witness this level of customer service during a week where Covid stress was running a little higher than normal in most businesses... Thanks guys!

Bought two of the cream lamingtons from our local Fresh Choice, they are superb, beautiful and fresh, the cream filling is plentiful, not just at the front of the cake like some others bought over the years. Will be buying some of these each week now, a gorgeous treat to have occasionally, I just wish I had discovered these a lot sooner. Well done Bake Shack, keep it up please, love them.

My review is only rating the Quiche & Blue Cheese Pie as I only ever get these 2 items from Bakeshack. And they're delicious 👌🏼👍🏼👌🏼 Try them ! I had heaps of them and they're always great. Though, sometimes there's barely any blue cheese in that pie 🤔.

Wonderful cafe and bakery. Not only is the coffee delicious, they also do catering. It was half hour off their closing time and there was still plenty to choose from which was also fresh and yummy. My first visit here and will be now another go to venue. The ladies on duty were awesome. Also I couldn't fault this venue, which is spacious and clean and equipment looks well kept. Wonderful😊

Great Bake Shop 👌. To feed the need its the place to be.

Had a very delicious smoked chicken ciabatta roll, it was fresh as anything, i thought it was very reasonably priced. I also had a very nice soy flat white, i think its nice they give you the little chocolate with the coffee to. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they don't have a customer toilet.

A delicious and fresh array of cafe and bakery foods, in a beautifully clean and well maintained premises with Lovely staff who give great service! The surrounding workforce and tradies are lucky to have such an awesome lunchbar to frequent, and judging by the heavy flow of people through the doors- a lot of people who have come out of their way just to eat here. Will visit again!

The best food your money can buy is from the bake shack on Hewlett road Mt Maunganui. Everything is made daily right down to the pies. Always clean and well maintained. The staff are always friendly and well mannered. Go on call in and try their food next time you are in the area.
