Riblets were lovely but I could only handle a very small portion before I started to get full. Calamari 's were wonderful.

First time ordering food as I am not a big rib fan usually but my husband is. Absolutely amazed in how good the ribs tasted and had actually meat on them not like many other places I tried before. Wedges absolutely fantastic as well and the chicken so delicious. Not very often that I am this impressed by a restaurant. Absolutely affordable pricing as well and you get a lot of absolutely delicious food for it. DEFINITELY will be back 😋😋😋

Great new place to get quality food for decent price. The Lamb shanks and beef short rib were a perfect end to a hard week, looking forward to trying other products in future. Would highly recommend trying this place out. We ordered through dine-in, the meal ordering service. Amazing food and super friendly service. They have so many goodies to check out in the store and the ribs are the best! I loved the mushroom chips too and have been craving them ever since!

Very yummy ribs. I recommend you should give it a go. 1 rack of ribs is $28 but could feed 3-4 people depending on how big the appetite is. Would go again. Thank you!

Really good ribs soft n tender the sause is delicious and their tiramisu is bloody amazing as a chef myself I say this place is pretty good and the prices are very reasonable.

$60 in store special is well worth it. Good price, decent portion and tasty. Ribs were saucy and tasty and Onion rings were pretty good too. <br/>Customer service was pretty average but does not take away from the tasty food. <br/>Wait time was short.

Where to start aye ! <br/><br/>have had multiple bad experiences at this place lately , burnt chicken , bugs in the lettuce , items left out of the order and now today the last straw , made to wait 35 mins extra for our food as they just hadnt bothered to start cooking it. No apology just a grump staff member blaming others in his workplace instead of trying some customer service .<br/><br/>Avoid this place like the plague

Ordered the $60 mates meal which comes with 1 1/2 rack of ribs, 2 x chicken schnitzel, 2 x sauces (chose 1 of each mushroom & cheese) onion rings, chips, coleslaw & cans of drink. Took roughly 15mins for my order to come out which I found decent. Was nicely packaged I a square box suitable for transport. I found the ribs really juice we enough sauce on it to marinate with the meat. The bone was still not as soft as I would have expected but was good quality. The onion rings were average a bit soggy. Chips were ok, lacked seasoning. The sauces were ok. I found the chicken schnitzel to be dry and the coleslaw was alright. Overall the meal was worth the price tag and could easily feed 3-4 hungry adults. Would return but may opt to try the chicken wings as an alternative to the schnitzel. Service was good, place was nice & clean. Lots of parking in the surrounding area.

Awesome place to visit if you are a hearty meat lover. This time around I got the beach basket to feed 6 friends and it did not disappoint. Definately generous on portions and no stingy with any of the sauces. I would have given this a 5/5 if the place had plates to go with the food and if the massive meal came with its own coleslaw. So as a note if you are thinking of dining in with a group and ordering the beach basket meal for yourself and friends definately order some extra slaw on the side to help cut through all the meat..also be prepared to eat out of the box the food is served in dont be afraid to get down and dirty. If you also like a little bit of spice .. I highly recomend the peri peri chicken wing. It will definately not let you down.

This place hands down pleasently suprised me how juicy and fall off the bone their ribs are. The sauce is good too.<br/>DIY ribs at home can get super pricey, with the actual ribs then sauces, power usage and time even the pre packed and marinated ones are pricey.<br/>The prices at rack n roll are awesome, and, no messy oven pans or bbq's to clean afterwards, its all done for you.<br/>Better yet, these are just as good the next day as leftovers (should there be any).<br/>The service was friendly, and our walk in order only took 15 minutes for us to takeaway.<br/>Highly recommend this place for their ribs.

Food was OK, nothing great. I got the 1/2 rack with onion rings and mushroom chips.<br/><br/>The mushroom chips were not what I was expecting. I was expecting chips with mushrooms on top but they are literally mushrooms coated in crumbs and deep fried. Tasted OK, quite salty.<br/><br/>The rack was OK, not the best I've had. Wouldn't buy again.<br/><br/>The onion "rings" were more sauteed onions with a bit of crumbs.<br/><br/>Would give 2.5 stars but can't. Would not get it again. Overall, my meal was quite salty.

Very tasty ribs (great sauce!) but avoid ordering them via Uber Eats, as there’s a random price increase that is nothing to do with the usual uber delivery fee

After drooling over someone’s Instagram story, finally made it here and I am glad. Probably the best ribs I’ve tried out. Personally, half a rack was big enough to share between two people but can’t really go wrong with having your own half.

Great food to be had here. Got the ribs and chicken combo with chips and cheesy garlic bread and just wow. The sauces on the meat were amazing, the meats were cooked so well, and the sides topped off the meal. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back again.

Been here a few times and started to notice the ribs are not as good as they used to be.. They are getting tougher each time I go, and ribs should be falling off of the bone.If you want tough ribs, you can find them here.. I could not finish half a rack because it was so tough, which is a shame because I am still very hungry....Also forgot my sauces! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The shop is so close to my place but I didn’t have a chance to try till read reviews on zomato. The price and portion are reasonable. We ordered 1/2 rack 1/4 peri peri chicken and mushroom chips. My favorite would be the chicken, the sauce was so good! Mushroom chips was good but a bit salty for my taste if you eat itself. That’s what there is a sauce comes with it which make it taste better. The rack is the least favorite because it wasn’t tender. The sauce was alright but just the texture is not like a GOOD rack should be. There are rooms to improve in term of texture and tenderness of meat both rack and chicken but overall it’s another good choice for the area.

Tidy looking store and friendly staff. Prices are relatively cheaper and portions are bigger in comparison to places like Nandos.<br/><br/>The ribs are their main thing so needless to say I gave it a go. However it was not so melt-of-the -bone tender, but rather chewy. The ribs were a let down, sauce was good though. I liked the chicken more. Nicely charred and juicy.<br/><br/>Probably wouldn't visit again for ribs but the chicken is worth coming back for.<br/><br/>3.5/5

I’ve tried the peri-peri chicken. It is finger licking good! Onion rings is different from the fast food one also, without too much flour and it is yum.

Have been here 4 times now, definitely worth checking out if you’re craving ribs but don’t want to sit down at a restaurant or make your own.<br/>The peri peri Chicken is also a must try, a nice unique peri peri sauce.<br/>Price is a bit on the higher side but I’d still recommend this place for any food enthusiast/people looking something a bit different.

Yummy food ribs are delicious. Have ordered the varios chicken meals too they have always been tasty. Service is great too. Would recommend if you like meaty foods

Each dish were cooked to perfection with special sauce full of flavour. Deep fried mushroom chips were just too good.<br/>One downside may be the fact that the place only had 3 tables and they gave us the food in paper takeaway containers and disposable cutlery although I told them i was having them there. <br/><br/><br/>

Hands down the best ribs I've had in a long time! The chicken was cooked perfectly too and it was such a great feed!! The owner was very friendly and helpful and made it such an awesome experience! Will be going back again very soon!

Best ribs and chips for a great price! $16 for half a rack of ribs and chips! Huge portions, ribs are tender and falling off the bone, thick chips, great customer service and a neat place to dine in with friends and family. Definitely adding this to my regular visits😍😋

It is so hard to find decent ribs at New Zealand restaurants, not to mention fast-food places! Therefore, I was overjoyed to discover Rack n Roll. Owned by a South African, the ribs here are everything you want in the rib: sweet, sticky, juicy, and so tender that the bear falls off the bone. Service was surprising fast too considering what how long ribs usually take. The BBQ sauce may be slightly generic, but it was still tasty.<br/><br/>Besides ribs, they also do gorgeous sides such as real onion rings (loved that you could swap out your fried for onion rings!), and their fried mushroom is a must. Especially with the creamy dipping sauce.<br/><br/>The price was superb considering how big the serving sizes were, and how much they would charge for this at restaurants. Definitely our new favourite, more fancy takeaway place.

Came here after finding it on Zomato mid week. The server was very kind. Clean space, not overly inviting to remain and eat though. <br/><br/>We ordered a full rack of ribs. Peri peri chicken wings. Calamari and onion rings. Ribs - delicious and juicy. The wings - oh goodness you need to order these! Amazing! Calamari cooked perfectly and still soft. Onion rings flavour full but not particularly for me.. I think I prefer more batter and crunch. <br/><br/>Overall will happily be returning back here. Won’t be long before this place becomes more known in Mt Wellington.<br/>

Shopping around Sylvia park I was after something a bit different to what was on offer, so I looked up Zomato to find out that there was a Rack and Ribs in Mt Wellington. Never one to say no to soft, tender saucy ribs, I made it my own personal mission to feast at Rack and Roll. It’s pretty unassuming in terms of its appearance and the fact that their health and safety rating is still pending didn’t really provide me with a lot of confidence. Nevertheless, I ordered a full rack of ribs, mushroom chips and onion rings. <br/><br/>What the are mushroom chip? Is it chips with mushroom sauce/glaze over the top? Is it chip in a mushroom shape? A question that had me pondering for a long time until I opened my takeaway container to discover that Mushroom Chips is literally slices of mushroom that was crumbled. It was delicious, the texture of the crumbs and the chewiness of the mushroom, it will certainly keep you coming back for more. <br/><br/>The ribs were meaty and soft, I actually wasn't a fan of the sauce. It was sweet but a bland sweetness. I had ordered the ribs twice to make sure I could provide an accurate review and I felt that the sauce isn’t all that impressive. Still, a great rib though for the price you pay. Onion fries were pretty good, and I liked that the onions were only lightly battered. <br/><br/>Overall I foresee Rack and Ribs to do well in Mt Wellington especially with the local patrons. The price point is fantastic and you definitely get a lot of food.<br/><br/>Showstopper: Mushroom Chips, I’ve been back a few times just for this.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: B+

The ribs were are delicious, very meaty and has a tasty BBQ glaze. The onion rings are really good too! I recommend calling up as it could take up to 20mins per order

Excellent customer service and yummy food that was ready in 10 minutes! 😱 <br/><br/>I ordered full rack ribs, calamari, fries and onion rings- it was the best meal I have had in a long while!<br/><br/>Unlike other onion rings that I've tried, the onion rings at this place is full of flavour. The ribs are ultra tasty and meat so soft that it melts in your mouth.

Came here for the first time to pick up our dinner. For two people, the portions are quite big we couldn't finish them. The ribs are my favorite and the mushroom sauce for the chicken schnitzel is yum! Will come back here again. <br/><br/>The photo below is all worth $44 and should be good for 3 people, depends on your hunger level LOL.

Best takeaway ribs I have found. Saw their food truck at the markets and took a chance. Hard to eat standing up but worth it. Been going to their MT Wellington shop ever since. Easy website to order from. I always get a half rack with fries which is more than enough for me.

Love this place so cheap and best ribs in town! Soft and tasty calamari rings are yum chicken is amazing . For the price you can’t go wrong! Very big servings. Highly recommend

Generous sized portions! Ordered a rack of ribs as well as half a periperi chicken with chips. Cost was $43, ribs were huge and meat falling off the bone, chicken portion was huge. So delicious, will definitely be coming back!

I visited here for lunch since the browns bay branch is pretty famous and it was close to my workplace. The female staff who greeted me was not really friendly maybe she was tired but other staff were all friendly and welcoming. They were attentive, checking me upon how the food is. I ordered periperi chicken breast with chips and it costed me $12. As you can see from the picture, it is a huge portion! I somehow managed to finish the chicken breast but I could not finish the chips. They put a plenty of sauce on the meat and I was worried if it'd be too salty but it was actually not salty at all and so gooood! Chicken breast was so succulent! It would be a good meal for a diet plan if I swap chips with some garden salad. I would love to visit again to try some other menus and sauces.

We tried their Peri Peri chicken at a All blacks game this September 2017. We just love the peri peri sauce. Then we decided to head over to the restaurant- it is more of a take away than a restaurant as it has few seating. The portions are good and tastes way better than nandos. If you love peri peri chicken - give this place a try. You will fall in love with it.

Went here the other day for dinner with my partner and really enjoyed it. We brought a full rack of ribs, chicken with creamy mushrooms and added chips, and also the rack and roll burger with onion rings. Definitely enjoyed my dinner and was more than enough (we are our left overs for breakfast). Ribs were good however it wasn't falling off the bone but I still enjoyed mine. Burger and chicken was delicious I will definitely be getting them again. Chicken was the best I've ever had so juicy. Onion rings tasted really good and chips were average but had good flavour. Overall it cost us $55.00 for the lot. Would highly recommend

Ordered the half rack ribs and they were so delicious! Me and my partner defiantly enjoyed the ribs, so we will be coming in to try the other items on the menu!

Purchased a groupon voucher and used it lastnight. First time here man was it worth the drive! I loved the rack of ribs the meat just fell off the bone and the sauce was yummy. 1 full rack was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. We also bought the riblets served with chips for 10bux! I think that was my fave! The chips arnt all that so maybe nextime ill swap it out for the onion rings for a extra $1. I would highly recommend to everyone reasonably priced and great customer service. Limited seating inside though so its better to takeout
