Best Coffee Club in Auckland! Love coming here for my morning coffee and a small bite to eat. Professional baristas, great range of food options, faultless service every time…it’s all you can ask for! They were also kind enough to give me some discount vouchers on my last visit. Thanks team, love your work! Hamish Dorrington Kakapo Business Sales

Great team and very quick service, a very easy place to have meetings with lots of car parking around. Can't go wrong with the Club Sandwich and the eggs benny rosti is a must try as well. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales

We ate here for lunch on Wednesday the 21/04/21 at 12.40pm . I had the Crispy chicken strip and bacon burger with a side order of fries. I also had a Flatwhite coffee. The meal arrived promptly but being a chain restaurant it was nothing outstanding. What does differentiate this restaurant from others in the chain is the staff, they are really pleasn't and friendly whilst remaining professional. The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy. It is very roomy larger in fact to most others in the chain with ample tables and chairs even during peak periods. There are great views of Mt Wellington.

Love this place. From the moment you walk in you are greeted like family. They remember who you are and are truly lovely.

I am delighted to write this review. I come to this place every weekend and I am impressed how much it changed from previous years. Particularly in the staff service. Navyjiot the manager is an exceptional person. Absolutely kind and polite , really a peep of gold in this city. I observed his hard work every week, and the courtesy that he displayed with clients. I haven’t seen this quality of service else where in Auckland. I saw how he transmit this positive attitude to his staff. Even the hours he works he is always smiling and gives you a genuine attention, looks very humble and really approachable. Really a please to come here .

tonight i ordered a vegetarian pizza for dinner and some chips and a?milkshake. the chips and milkshake were mean but the pizza where do i start with that. for me a pizza has lots of cheese....the cheese was non exsistent just sprinkled on not even melted. disappointed. i took it home with me added more cheese was way better!

The staff are pleasant. The service was quick enough but the steak sandwich was awful. The chiabatta was ok but the fillings were disgusting and “the steak” if you could call it that was a joke. I’ve had bigger and thicker slices of bacon. The sauce was terrible and the salad was rank. I asked why the place was so empty on a Saturday to my partner when we arrived. Now I know why. Terrible. Won’t be back. Absolutely a waste of money

Went here for a work meeting this afternoon and ordered a vegan tofu salad. What a waste of time.. a bowl full of coleslaw and 6 pieces of deep fried tofu. Absolute joke!

Favorite place to study!! Their barista is amazing with brewing, our vanilla latte are always made so perfectly! Thank you so much! Their carbonara is so tasty too! Seasoned fries is our study snack, they are cooked so beautifully 😊

Very nice and very clean branch of coffee club. Service from staff was very good. So attentive and friendly. Food is prepared well. Portion sizes are reasonably large so justifies the prices. Mexican chicken salad is delicious. A lot of chicken to salad ratio. Chicken club is a lil dry and needs mayo but still tasty. Coffee is pretty good from here depending on the barista.
Nice set out with some quite areas to have a quite catch up if thats what Is wanted.

Was given a chance to taste their new menu and was pretty excited for it however when I got there, I had no idea what I wanted to order as they didn't really explain what was new and what was old. Although the seating is comfortable and the place is modern and well furnished, their food is really not of standard.

I had some savoury food before dining here so I decided to go all out with their new desserts. I ordered their pancakes with popcorn, ice cream and maple syrup and their new deconstructed mango cheesecake.

The pancakes were stiff and the popcorn tasted stale. The best part about that dish was honestly the vanilla ice cream! I was highly disappointed with this as I was excited to try their new pancake style.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of cheesecake but I'm a huge mango lover so I decided to give the deconstructed mango cheesecake a try. It was pretty average and nothing special about it. It was served in a cup and it was hard to spoon up the mango, cheesecake and biscuit all at the same time for one mouthful.

Food 3/10
Service 5/10
Ambience 6/10
Price 3/10

Second time to this place with a bunch of frens. Nice atmosphere, polite and friendly staff, nice food and yummy coffee. No complaints and thank you.

I do love the atmosphere here. Busy or not. Its just a good vibe I feel.
Staff are lovely and food is prompt. I always fall weak on the eggs benedict because it does taste really good. Coffees are really good so high five to them.
I'm not sure what it is or how to comprehend why I gave it the 4 rating but some of the meals just seem so small for a big as plate and for a hefty price. Either make the plate fit the food or give a generous amount on the plate.
I'm not a big fan of their cheesecakes but that's just me. It just taste like they're 'baked' cheesecakes and not chilled ones when being made. Again, that's just me but it could be someone else's favourite.
Apart from that, yum yum yummy!
We always go to the busy coffee clubs in the mall. So we thought we'd go for somewhere quieter this time. We went there on a Saturday morning. It was nice and quiet. The service was pretty average but acceptable. But what put me off is they seriously served the disgusting-looking salad on the side as if they'd been storing them in the fridge for a week or so... seriously please don't put them in the plate next time if it's no longer fresh... Especially I was pregnant at that time.
I don't appreciate paying $20+ including coffee per person yet food like this on my plate.

Got the Mexican "salad" which was mostly corn chips and cos lettuce. The menu says the salad comes with avocado but the chef "forgot" to add avocado to mine and when I asked because it was $19.50! this is what I got, three small pieces. Truly expensive, terrible food and service from the chef (the wait staff were pleasant). Feel like I got stolen from and insulted. My partner salmon eggs benny was hard and seemed like it was cooked a while ago. Absolutely terrible experience will not come back.

Tasty food . My chocolate cake was very rich and a bit over the top with the whipped cream and fancy chocolate decorations the cake by itself was very tasty , my smoothie was lovely and cold and tasted very nice , i will be back there soon .

Friendly staff, nice ambience and good food. The cafe was pretty quiet. I had the Breakfast Bruschetta and iced mocha. The food was similar to Eggs Benedict but in toasted sourdough with slices of avocado and diced tomatoes. This would now be my favourite version of eggs bene, I really liked it. Will definitely get this again next time.

Our family had visited Coffee Club Sylvia Park, for an Anzac Day breakfast. Unfortunately, we will never be returning back to Coffee Club. My husband ordered a savoury mince on toast which is a staple breakfast order for him. This menu item needs to be reviewed. The portion size is the smallest we have seen at a cafe. It was dry and bland. My husband spoke to the manager. She advised that the meals are all standardised and follow guidelines from head office. We should direct our feedback to head office. As a large franchise, I understand that you want standards so that each cafe has the same look and feel regardless of location. This experience made us feel like we were being ripped off from an over priced McDonald's. As a standard in most cafe's, it comes with 2 x slices of toast covered with flavourful mince and a poached egg.

Great Service, excellent food (as expected from coffee club) resturant was very clean and well spaced out. Prefer this one to the Slyvia Park store as it's not as crowded.

Food came out relatively quick. Lovely staff.

It's in a great spot as there are other restaurants on the same strip.

One of the best coffee clubs I've ever been to by far! Wonderful service and waiting times were 10 to 15 minutes on meals which was very reasonable. So spacious and kid friendly. Highly recommended, also the new york brownie is to die for :)

This coffee club is across the road from Sylvia Park where the complex of shops are. First impression, inside not too spacious. Looks like all coffee clubs as usual. The food was nice, but not worth the price we paid for. Our ice coffee were quite nice. Overall average nothing to fuss about. But the service was exceptional.

Is that the best red velvet cake i have ever had? Totally yummy...exact what i want. Tried other coffee club velvet cake but this one beyond my expectation.

I find this coffee club has the better service out of all the other coffee clubs. Im not normally a big fan of coffee clubs, they do ok food, with a wide range of things in the menu, but most of the time it's just a standard cafe food.

We went there the other day for an afternoon snack, i had a major craving for french toast and I have to say their french toast hits the spot! I liked the fact that it was simple with cooked banana and some maple syrup. I also had the ice coffee and mum had a bowl of chips. I didn't think the chips were cooked that well, they were still on the pale side rather than golden brown.

Overall it was a good experience. We enjoyed our self, and will definitely go back for more french toast!

A mean coffee lady trying to rush all her coffee order. She kept pushing the bell and shout large flat white takeaway when I was already walking towards to get my coffee. Oh well I feel kind of embarrassed. Average coffee.

They have a wide range of different items on the menu among the more traditional cafe fare. Tried the prawn and chorizo fetuccine. The food was ok and had a nice heat to it. The hot chocolate was a bit too milky for me.

There was only one waiter for Sunday lunch so we were left alone when it started to get busy.

Let me start by saying I am not a big fan of coffee clubs. For me they are like the necessary evil. Makes ok coffee, have WiFi and quiet enough to have business meeting with some ok food. However this place got good service and perhaps because I go here often it has grown on me. I like the hot pot breakfast. It's different and got a bit of kick.

This place has changed hands several times and the quality of the ingredients is variable, but overall it's one of the better Coffee Clubs. I like the fact that they are open till 9 - one of the few places you can get an evening coffee. It's a huge barn of a place and can be cold.
Mat
I like how this place is located within the mall and the fact it remains open after the mall has closed. We always come here for coffee and a slice of their chocolate coffee club cake. I've tried many things from the food cabinet - the chocolate brownie and chocolate cake in particular are my go-to after dinner treats :) :). Although I'm not so keen on the food, I do enjoy the Cajun chicken.

This cafe is located in an upcoming suburb and is surrounded by eateries from different cuisines. The place is nice to hang out. Food is good. Beverages are fair. The quality needs improvement. Service is good. Will go again.

SLOW and Cold . Came for afternoon tea .. Eggs Benedict.. Even though there are few people in here for Monday the service wa unbearably slow. When it arrived the plate is cold and the food is cold on the plate.. quite cold.. its almost like they put it in the fridge to cool it down before serving it.

The service was quick and friendly but the food was disappointing. I had a savoury muffin that was dry and flavourless. I ate half of it purely out of hunger but couldn't stomach the rest. I may have just been unlucky with my food choice. They do have unlimited free wifi though, which is a big plus for me as I like to do some work in cafes. Unfortunately the wifi isn't enough to make up for the food.

Just had a breakfast here this morning.
Pancake stack for $14 or $15 if not mistaken.
It was not as fluffy as they advertise but still ok.
Coffee was delicious; ten out of ten. Unfortunately for the quality of food I am scoring 3 stars.

I went here today for breakfast and coffee before work.
Bad food and service not too good.
Coffee was just ok.
I am giving 2 stars as a benefit of doubt otherwise I will give 1 star.

I should really preface this review with the fact it was Good Friday and there was a notice on the counter (which was only obvious when we paid on leaving) explaining that staff were in training but there was only a handful of customers and the service was awful, it took the staff over ten minutes to serve two "spiders" (ice cream floats) which is a simple drink to prepare. There seemed to be a high level of disorganisation here - disappointing, nothing here to become a repeat customer.

They only get two stars as the spiders were just what we needed in a warm afternoon!

I've eaten at this place atleast 5 times now and i throughly enjoy it, it's not too busy on the right days which we like.
We order from the all day breakfast menu,
The people who work there are lovely, Coffee is delicious.
We usually spend about $25 each on our meal including a Large/Medium coffee each and extra hash browns to share.
I get the bacon, eggs tomato and toast, the breads also changed from plain toast to ciabatta bread.
Love this place and will keep coming back! When i read the reviews i was skeptical! glad i didn't listen to them because I've experienced the complete opposite all my times gone there.

I went here in the evening with a girlfriend, mid week around 5pm. The place was empty which was ideal as we wanted to have a chat over dinner and dessert. The waitress asked us immediately what we wanted before even offering us a menu which was very strange. The sign at the door said buy one meal get the second half price which was a nice surprise. We both ordered the light meal fish and chips and a glass of wine. The meal took a while to come which again was strange as we were the only people in there. When it arrived the fish was so dry and overcooked that we both left most of it. We decided to order dessert and realised both the waitresses were sitting behind us with their feet up on the chairs and we could not catch their attention for a menu. We decided to call it a day at that point and on paying realised our second meal had not been discounted. When I asked I was told the meal had to be a main meal, not a light meal. We were never told this and the sign did not say this. This could be a nice place if the staff had any interest. No wonder it is always empty in the evening. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Charged $8 for tea because you requested more since the first was only half full? Eggs ben edict with fatty bacon and bread you had to saw through? $8:50 for a side of fries that were oily and undercooked? Yup this is the place. $34 for breakfast elsewhere would have been so much better.

We went here today for breakfast and coffee and the service was terrible! Our 'waiter' if you could call him that was rude and unprofessional, when ordering he screwed his face up upon a request for grain bread, returning later to tell us that they only have white or brown bread. The waiter then returned again serving me a plate of cutlery and napkins, for an establishment that prides itself on its so called 'table service' I was astounded that the waiter seemed to think it was appropriate for a patron to set the silverware for our group of 6. Next one of our groups scrambled eggs was served and it was just that, eggs on a plate, when toast was politely requested the waiter began to argue that toast was not ordered, he continued to argue that we had ordered wrong and that there was no toast with the meal, the person whose meal it was then gave up telling the waiter to just take the plate away. Honestly where was this man's professionalism?!?

After taking in the situation the person whose meal it was approached the manager to complain, while speaking with her the waiter continued to argue across the room before hurrying along to complain even more with his colleagues. There was a complete disregard for customer service from this waiter his unprofessionalism reflects very poorly on this restaurant.

Thankfully the manager apologised fully for the situation and kindly made amends to the errors of our incompetent waiter. She continued to check on us for the duration of our visit and was very friendly and sincere. Unfortunately due to the waiter and his actions we will not be going back here and will warn others to do the same.

Never again, they don't know how to make a thick shake. They do know how to charge for it but watery and warm. Terrible place with never a question asked as to why the plate still has so much food left on it.

Bad food and bad service. I should've listened to the feedback below and not have attended The Coffee Club. I walked in and asked for a coffee have here. I then asked for a eggs scrambled. Add bacon, tomato and 1 extra piece of toast. I sat down reading a book when my food arrive (before my coffee errrr??) IN A PLASTIC BAG. I said I asked to have here. On top of that, who orders a bacon and eggs takeaway? I know it was the owner who brought my take away bacon and eggs, this guy has no people skills and no managerial skills.
I'm not going to get into how he should have handled the situation, but we all know if it's your own business you certainly go the extra, which he did NOT.

I opened my meal to see 1 slice of tomato, probably an 8th of a large tomato. This add on was $4.00.....
I found my eggs to be overcooked. An extra egg cost me $2.00
My extra bacon full of fat and not much lean bacon $4.00
4 pieces of toast. I asked for 1 extra piece, not 2. I was very clear. $2.00
I added sausages, it looked and tasted like the ones on air planes, those pale disgustingly tasting ones.

I ordered a $25 breakfast, I should've gone to Mc Donalds for their breakfast because it would've been a hell of a lot nicer.

Their coffee is hardly any good either, I'd rather have instant.

I would recommend you skip breakfast and save your money than eat and be serviced rubbish at The Coffee Club.
Robyn
This sounds terrible, but it's a good review honest.

I only go here for the coffee, they make the most amazing Cafe Mocha you could die for.

If you get something out of the cabinet it's generally really good.

I avoid the menu however.
Aidan
My partner and I were caught by the "buy 1 main meal, get the second free" deal. We ordered a pizza and a pasta from the main menu, both of which tasted like frozen meals that had just been cooked in the microwave.

When it came to paying, we then were informed that the pizza and pasta were not main meals, rather there was a separate section of the menu that was titled "main courses". None of which had been mentioned previously, ie. upon seating or ordering. Due to this technicality were were charged full price on both meals.

It was really disappointing that the food was poor and the service average, as the location is great. We are locals and were hoping to find a good regular coffee shop at the time, now we steer clear, and warn anyone even considering going there.

If you do intend on going there, beware the fine print in their special offers. If you are in the area and want good coffee/cake, go across the road to Farro, and for a meal the Flying Moa has really good food.
Josephine
I took my husband for dinner for his birthday the other evening. The food was excellent and the service likewise.
