Review Hapi - Napier

April Kerslake
Food here was amazing! So many vegan options and not too expensive. I got the avocado on toast, I wasn’t a fan of the seeded bread as it was very hard but that’s personal preference. The raw cakes selection was amazing and the mocha cheesecake was delicious. Staff could have been a little friendlier, they were quite aloof and standoffish but overall the place was nice.

I’m a sucker for a co-op, and Hapi did not disappoint. My partner and I stopped in to check out the set up, and ended up getting a coffee. For the coffee with cream that we ordered, it cost around $6. It’s a simple order, but it was delicious! The coffee was full of flavor and they gave us 1/3 of a bottle of fresh cream. I wish that I came in hungrier than I was because I would have loved to try one or more of their homemade goods! They cater to vegan, paleo, and gluten free diets. As a heads up, these goods are not cheap. They range from about $15-25 for a small salad or sandwich. If I lived in Napier, I would absolutely treat myself to this more often.

Hungry after the drive from Wellington Hapi filled a hole or two happily. Good coffee. Tasty wraps. A view over the street. Gluten free too. We’ll be back again tomorrow.

The kitchen was closed when we arrived, but had it been open, I would defs have ordered the scrambled egg and kimchi. Settled for a chicken sandwich instead and that was filling enough. House made seed bread with enough chicken and salad to keep ya chewing and smiling. Hapi belly guaranteed!

Hapi is you Happy place ! Fantastic local organic mostly vegan cafe. Plenty of gf and vegan options of very fresh, organic food. Good selection of home made juices and drinks. Recommend vegan tofu chipotle tacos. They are rare treat ! Vegan Sammie with avocado is delicious too. Coffee best in town and plenty of delicious tea options. Cafe is inside Chantel organic store which is a great local organic shop.
JOYNME life
Hapi cafe is a cafe next to Chantel Organic store and upstairs there is a yoga studio. What a great combination. JOYNME had a good Ashtanga yoga workshop sweating it off and really enjoy cooling off nom nom-ing avocado on toast 🥑 and hot chocolate 🍫

nice coffeestation in a organic shop. we had nice coffee & a smoothiebowl. they have a lot of vegan options, a little bit expensive but worth it. sometimes a bit loud, because of the open kitchen.

I stopped in shortly after 7:00am and had an excellent breakfast of salmon and anchovies with capers on toast. It was very plesant to sit out front and eat breakfast in the sunshine. I got a park right outside too.

awesome.. Roasted Beet salad with activated Almonds very tasty and filling. good service we sat on the street and enjoyed people watching as we ate. Choc n Raspberry cake was yum.. hubby thought it was a lil dry but then he's not used to eating healthy, it was lovely.... long Mac was full flavoured with good balance of milk.... only a pity your 4 hours away from home.. well done guys!!

Their ethos “you are what you eat” and that “physical and mental wellbeing is a true reflection of how you fuel your body” rings true to my New Year’s Resolution for this year, so I was really excited to check out this cute cafe, while on holiday in Napier. At Hapī, their food is plant based, full of nutrients and very delicious. If you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free or just love eating one or all of the above, then Hapī is your place! Their menu is extensive – for such a small cafe, they sure have a range of everything on offer. Their cabinet display is also one of the best I have seen in New Zealand, with all the food well presented and the staff continuously preparing all the goodies just behind the counter. I could literally stand there for ages, watching them make sandwiches!

Holy cannoli, walking into this shop I knew I had options (paleo / SCD diet) but little did I expect I could eat it all!!!

I had the carrot cake ... might altering who needs grain flour :). The spinach potato frittata wow. I’m coming here tomorrow before my flight to get breakfast that good!!! If you are paleo or require special orders at typical restaurants this is your spot!

Excellent
The food here is divine. not overpriced for the quality, consciousness and preparation that goes into sharing food with love.
Everybody I've been with loves the balanced flavours, the yummy combinations, a great place for raw foodies and gourmet lovers to delight in.
So sumptuous, excellent blend of flavours high protein content. Fans of the acai berry smoothie, and turmeric chai with cashew milk. Hapī nurtures harmony indeed.

We had breakfast here two days. First day we both had the Grawnola with coco whip and fruit which was very yummy. Second day I had the Acai bowl with coco whip which was nice, the coco whip definitely made it. I personally preferred the Grawnola over the Acai. Also had a Berry smoothie which was nice but quite filling when also having with the Grawnola bowl. Hubby had the Bircher muesli which he really liked, said it was filling and enjoyed it more than the Grawnola. He also two flat whites which were nice. Big points for them using compostable plates, bowls, cups & utensils!

Came back for an early lunch before heading to the airport. We both had a Tamari Tempeh GF sandwich which we agreed was delicious. Beautifully presented, creamy satay style sauce and a generous avocado serving. The GF bread was a soft, dense, nutty combo which was so good. I saw you can buy a loaf of the bread which I would do if we were local or stayed longer. Also tried a sushi roll with avocado, cauliflower rice, carrots and coriander, it was tasty after I picked out the coriander. All in all the sandwich was by far the best and quite filling!

Food was yum. Ordered the Paleo toast with Nut Butter and chia seed jam . So yummy. And a good price. That was the last breakfast before leaving. 😀😀😀😀😀

I came here for the first time today, after already having lunch, because I couldn't resist the delicious vegan options. I had a beautiful sandwich with tempeh and other healthy goodness, and also a noodle box which I am yet to try, because I am soo full from the sammie! Awesome to see another healthy vegan optioned place in Hawkes Bay!
