I ordered Chicken Bhuna and it was one of the best curries I ever had. Rich flavors, nice meat. Staff was absolutely amazing. Will come again!

Quick service and delicious hot meals. Whenever you order from here you can expect a high quality meal with a great taste no matter what heat level you selected. Friendly staff only adds to the great experience and makes buying from here a treat.

Enjoying takeout from them after a long time. It's great to return, and it seems the new owners have successfully rejuvenated the restaurant. Wishing them the best of luck.

Twice we have ordered takeaways, once online. Both times, the food was beautiful. The mushroom starter was beautiful and spicy! Highly recommend you try this restaurant. We will return.

We moved up about a year ago to the Hawke's Bay and have finally found some amazing authentic Indian food. I ordered for the family last night. I had the home made chicken and it was really nice. New owners have changed this into my new favorite place :)

Had an amazing time! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel welcome right away. Tried the Vegetable Samosa and Chicken Tikka Masala, both were absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavours. Service was attentive and spot-on. Can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!

I've only had one takeaway from this place. My chicken korma had a delicious real cashew sauce. The only complaint is that there were hardly any chicken pieces in it. I'd advise them to cook at least a breast of chicken for the cost of a main. Compared to Star of India, I'd recommend this restaurant. Second time, much more chicken and the most delicious sauce.

I've ordered from here twice now and both times all of our meals were delicious, the butter chicken sauce is really good and the chilli paneer is amazing. Really nice naan too. We will be back for sure, thanks so much!

I am pleased and appreciated the quick service of take away and greetings by Ms. Judge but sorry to say for the taste of kadhai chicken , i fail to understand since when kadhai chix comes in tomato gravy since when recipes has been changed . So here i would like to comment on the chef please stick to the authentic when you all call urself authentic restaurant ...it was the worst kadhai chicken i have ever had in my life i understand it costs $10 but it wasn't worth at all rice quality was though bad also DRY too dry actually , i tell how kadhai was taste me like that ur chef has tossed the butter chicken gravy and added chicken into that ..so management please look into this stop making people ignoramus and especially when someone is indian .. Anticipating better😕

Good Indian food, the 10$ dollar meal is recommended. It gives you a chance to try rice, curry and naan.

Wow! The food was mouth watering... We got takeaway Chicken pulao and a 10$ combo of Naan, Red Chilli special gravy and rice. I have to say... The Naan and gravy were so good that I even wonder if I've had any better back in India... The Chicken pulao had too many cashews which were soft and didn't have that roasted crunch, and we had asked for Indian spicy, so the Chilli tickled the tongue instantly. I like it that way anyways! 😝

The reviews speak for themselves. Absolutely stunning authentic food. I am very very picky about depth of flavour and cannot fault this evening's meal at all. We started with the Tandoori Platter which was full of flavour and all meat was tender and moist. Punjabi Chicken for main. Knock me down with a feather!!! Stunning!!!! Absolutely full as a boot but just can't stop eating. We also had Potato and Onion Kulcha to compliment the main meal. Yum. This place is a must for locals and visitors alike.

This place is awesome. Best Indian food in Napier. You get a lot in the 10 dollar dinner deal. Always generous portions with naan bread.

Best curry I have had in NZ for a long long time! Popped in to pick up a take-away, quite impressed to see the restaurant busy serving Indian families, always a good sign! Friendly service and advice from the waitress helped me choose a Chicken Dopiaza, Beef Dhansak and chickpea curry with a garlic naan ($45, fed two hungry adults).
The pieces of beef were large and very tender, no fat or gristle. Chicken also succulent. Very spicy, obviously fresh spices throughout and well crafted! Looked great as the lids came off the containers, and the aroma had my mouth watering immediately!
I live in Hastings, but will come back to Taradale eat here again!

We have been to Indian restaurants all over New Zealand and we consider Red Chilli to be amongst the best. Great selection of starters and mains. Good quality cuts of meat. Very good value. Just brilliant. Thank you.

Best Indian we have experienced in a long time. Great service, diverse menu and very tasty food. Indian can sometimes be very rich and creamy but I think this restaurant has found the right mix. Very reasonably priced and byo just $2.50 a bottle. We had a great dinner over a few bottles of wine.

Food - standard fare supplemented with interesting off-menu items, welcome for the 2 vegetarians in our group; less creaminess, more spice, tomato and authentic Indian flavours - ideal for the waistline-conscious gourmand.

Service - attentive, friendly, prompt, accommodating, superb English. Food came out hot and well-presented.

Prices - very reasonable
