Review Breakers Restaurant - Napier

I recently dined at Breakers Taradale and overall, my experience was a mixed bag. The standout part of my meal was undoubtedly the steak - it was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Complemented by a generous portion of well-seasoned chips, the main course was definitely a hit. However, I must say that the service was just okay. While the servers were friendly, they seemed a bit unorganized and inattentive at times. It took quite a while for our order to be taken, and even longer for the food to arrive. Although the staff did their best to rectify any issues, the overall service was not up to par. One aspect that was a letdown was the atmosphere of the restaurant. The interior decor seemed outdated and lackluster, providing a rather uninviting ambiance. The lighting was too dim, giving the place a gloomy feel, and the noise level was quite high, making it difficult to have a conversation without raising our voices. Despite the drawbacks of the service and atmosphere, I must emphasize that the quality of the food made up for these shortcomings. The delicious steak and perfectly cooked chips certainly left a positive impression, and for that reason alone, I would consider returning. In conclusion, Breakers Taradale offered a mixed dining experience. While the food, particularly the steak and chips, was exceptional, the service was lackluster and the atmosphere left much to be desired. If you prioritize a great culinary experience over ambiance and service, this restaurant might still be worth a visit.

Can't say you'll starve, the starters where like a meal in themselves.😂 Chicken Diane was lovely. Kiwi Burger was ok. Wasn't busy for a Wednesday night. Staff were friendly 🙂

Haven't been to breakers in a long time. Last time I went was when I was a kid and did a coloring competition, which I later won a Drift Bike from . Lucky me. Just for that I give 5 stars. Also the staff are very nice and welcoming. My mum knows someone who works there and she always greets us with a wide smile. I quite like the chips, burger and donut sundae. Very yummy, place is always clean and has a very nice beach or surfer theme.

Cheesy garlic bread was a total let down.($10) Hotdog roll cut open with bit of cheese melted, barely garlic. Didn't tasted it at all.Dominoes pizza have better cheesy garlic bread. Table was sticky and not cleaned properly, had to wipe up it ourselves. Chicken ,bacon salad was good.

Went to Breakers on Tue 19 March. Lovely welcoming service throughout dinner, small and comfy atmosphere that will make you feel like you are at a positive family reunion. I had gluten free chicken kababs that were tasty and craving. Mum had a lettuce burger and nana the Pork, that she demolished.

2x 250g sirloin steaks ones medium to welldone the other welldone, absolutely delicious a slight pinch of salt an pepper with the juices of this amazong steak was absolutely perfect to our likings, we both had a very good time tonight an look forward to more nights like these, service rocks staff are very kind an helpful lovely food an scenery all round a very enjoyable experience.

Went there for a quick bite to eat. The seafood chowder was $14 and was worth it. Creamy, tasty, no veges in it. Filled the spot nicely.
