What an incredible place, top quality food and friendly staff provided a happy and upbeat atmosphere. The owner Raf had a great sense of humour which enhances the experience. There was something to satisfy the whole family’s wants with a range of authentic Italian dishes, we all loved our night andwill definitely be returning soon.

You were right mate I do trust you. Excellent food Lamb spaghetti really flavorful and fluffy.
But the Pork belly especially was really flavorful and super soft It just melted really enjoyed it I would love to try the spare ribs next time.

They accommodated a group of us twice at short notice. The food was fantastic. The owner was a hoot, joking with us, suggesting what we should eat and drink. If you were undecided on what to eat he made the decision for you...and what a choice - delicious. I will go back next time I'm in Nelson

We couldn't decide what to have and stumbled onto Babagatto, the service was sensational AND the food was tremendous.
The whole place was happy and filled with laughter due to the waiter and his huge personality. It was simply a wonderful place.

Please come and open up your restaurant in Perth, Western Australia. Had to dine in twice the spaghetti was that bloody delicious, the service was excellent. Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Nelson, NZ.

Went here last night for our anniversary dinner and it was amazing as usual! The food was delicious with good portion sizes, the wine was incredible and the staff are more welcoming and friendly than anywhere else we have ever been. Hands down our favourite place to have dinner! Can't recommend this place enough!

I don't often post reviews but Babagatto deserves a superb review. I love how welcoming the owners and staff are, it is just like being greeted by loving family. The food is always exquisite and authentic and it is a place you can go with best friends, family, or children and always feel comfortable. As the owner says, he does everything with love and passion and it shows. Delectable food and wine, authentic Italian food, well priced and always a joy to visit. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts for the special times xx

A great experience. I recommend the chocolate Tortino. It was good to sit in warm, peaceful, friendly surroundings where my wife and I could talk to each other without having to shout. Book early or you could be disappointed.

From the moment you will come through the door of this fine establishment the owner will spoil you and your company with a beautiful smirk and original Italian wink in his eyes. The food is as fantastic as they are cooking it back in Italy, no wonder because this restaurant imports almost all the produce straight from Italy: the olive oil, the wine, the coffee, the porcini mushrooms and much more. They love to cook and they love to spoil you. I guarantee you will have an unforgettable evening at the Babagatto in Nelson, NZ. Best food in the Pacific.
