Our favourite chippie. Usually have fish deal so we just phone in our order and never have to wait long to pick up. Decent portions, crunchy batter and yummy chips. Always reliable and the staff are lovely and friendly too.
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked and the batter was nice and crispy. Very kind staff as well. I got the gurnard and a half scoop of chips - enough to feed two people!!

We have been getting fish n chips from this shop (and the shop formerly known as Alton Street Takeaways) for over 40 years. Best in Nelson. I particularly recommend the potato fritters (flips) as a delicious addition to any meal. So grateful for the effort and dedication!

There food is to die for!, just melts in your mouth and you don’t taste the grease and oil like like most places!. Also it’s great comfort food
