♿ A good setup with the table seating stool sitting or standard table seating or out side the store inside mitre 10 next to playground where children can play and you are there by them . Ordered decaffeinated mocha and a scone orange and date Also the delicious carrot cake 🧇 Cabinet food has been getting better with fancier cupcakes etc.. Service is ok.

Cant go wrong to be honest. Tasty breakfast and the coffee was made well. Staff were friendly and water was easily available for self serve with clean cups. Eating areas were plentiful and well kept. A solid and safe place for a bite.

The coffee was just okay. But the French toast was so delicious and the perfect portion, especially for the price.

It was a little busy with visitors having coffee before going into the garden centre. We had breakfast there as we'd finished work 30 minutes earlier. No wait for service, tea and coffee arrived quickly breakfast followed. Good portions and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had a Chai Latte, very much enjoy it. I also had Eggs on Toast however unsure of the price, I would not be able to afford it all the time for the item. (Prior to egg shortage) Would go back for the Chai Latte. The Staff, where friendly and attentive.

For the price, this is great coffee & food. Long Black was the perfect hit of coffee I needed before taking on Mitre 10.

It’s conveniently located inside mitre 10, so great to get a coffee before walking about.
The coffee is expensive though and not worth the money (for the taste)
The food is pricey too
Real shame as it’s got a great playground for the kids, mitre 10 right there, it could be a real good place to sit and eat a meal then shop

Came here yesterday morning to study and loved it. Empty (expected for 7am on a Thursday), comfy and the staff were so so friendly. Ordered a cheese scone which was massive (had to give half away) recommend.

Love having coffee and lunch here. Good is great and coffee is always excellent. The staff are friendly and it has a lovely, relaxing environment. There's plenty of parking and plenty of tables indoors and out.

Coffee is terrible and pricey. Had creamed mushrooms which was so watery my bread dissolved. I only go here because of the playground otherwise I never would.

Mochacinno with a chocolate fish. What more could you ask for? The mocha was piping hot and velvety smooth.

Quick service and did I mention the mocha was hot hot hot!

Best eggs bene I have had in my life, Great service, Great friendly people and food came quickly. Eggs were perfectly poached and I consider myself a fussy person but boy were they good. Definetly would reccomend Columbus Newlynn to everyone.

Like some other Columbus Coffee cafes this one sits inside the Mega 10 store ( D.I.Y , Hardware, Tool store ). It was the first time had been in it and we'll overall can say was not disappointed. It was pretty busy being the time of day it was and on a Sunday when all the D.I.Y 'ers are about. So service on the queue was quite slow ; but maybe that was because the people ahead couldn't quite decide what to have..!!! But once ordered it did not take long for the order to come out. I had a cappuccino, which was good. To eat had a pork and fennel sausage rolls, served with salad ( not a big amount) and despite the size was delicious. So much so we got another. Also tried the berry tart which was pretty good too. All in all, despite slow service at first worthy of 4 stars.

Went with the family here over the weekend. I ordered the (supposed) Angus Burger ($18.50) i might add. It came with a few roast potatoes and was absolutely tasteless. I expected a homemade pattie bursting in flavour instead i got a pre-frozen supermarket burger in a Brioche bun which was not nice.
To top it off it ended up giving me upset stomach and the "Runs" after. Don't reccommend.
We are regular customers since they opened, mainly for breakfast or special occasions. Love this place, best Columbus/cafe we have dined in. Great food, great service, lovely surroundings and atmosphere. The staff are always exceptionally friendly, helpful and obliging. At no time have we ever had cause to complain about anything. Always recommending this cafe to others. Great value for money.
Graham and Lana

This is my go to coffee spot in west Auckland. The place you walk into and the staff remember your coffee preference and you're guaranteed the same yummy coffee experience every time!! The staff are consistently warm, friendly and welcoming and overalĺ the wait time for a take out coffee, which should be served faster than a have here coffee! is consistently good. The managers "European coffee house" warmth and friendliness to all his customers makes this cafe a feel-good, happy to spend my money here experience!

Popped in for some plumbing supplies, decided to stop in for a bite. Great coffee and burger, positively surprised they were open on Easter.

Such bad customer service from the Asian lady-rude, uninviting and didn't listen to our order. Shouldn't be in customer service if you don't know how to treat customers. Never going back here.

I went there for a simple garden lunch on a Tuesday with my baby and mum + small dog. We chose to sit outside in the garden area on the lower couch seats and table so its more relaxing. The old man who works as a waiter came out to bring our food started saying table is too low for eating and seats are not recommended for customers to dine from. That he had to bend down to put plates of cakes and scones on the lower otoman table. Gosh... I thought we are the customers and we can choose where to sit! The man was rude as if we inconvenienced him because we chose to sit at a lower seats and table. Terrible service and made me want to leave as soon as we finished eating.

Had a rather average meal here today. The good, the coffee hot and good strength, and 2 out of 4 meals were ok. The bad, the children's chicken tenders were not tender at all, they were tough and my son could not eat them, and the hotcakes. I assumed that being priced at $17 the hotcakes would be made to order, they were not, and were not hot either. I returned them and they were returned to me on a hot plate but the hotcakes were still luke warm, gave up returning a 2nd time.. very, very dissapointing and will not be back.

Been a regular customer since the store has been open. The food and customer services here is awesome, it has great coffee and a really good atmosphere. Favorite meal here would be the sweetcorn fritters 'highly recommended' and the spicy chicken burger.

First and most definitely the last. The service was bad the food less than impressive. Daughter had a Red Velvet Cup Cake. Which was actually a muffin but was presented upside down with icing on it. Was very dry and crumbly when bitten into. I suspect it was a week old.

My partner & had their homemade sausage roll with a trim latte each. Daughter's order was out after 5mins. Our food came out a good 10/15mins later. The sausage rolls were both cold. Took it back to the counter to have them re-heated. 10mins later sausage rolls were brought out. But this was after I had gotten up to see what was taking so long. We should have asked for a refund. Complete waste of $27.
One of the best columbus cafés out west. Fresh food, good coffee and warm, inviting environment. A little pricey but good none the less. Service was also excellent.

Had a good experience - had poached eggs on toast. Wish I had taken a photo as it was toast on top of the eggs! Thats a first... Coffee was great.

I am one for great coffee. I am one of those weird people that's orders something out of the ordinary. I love Piccolo coffees.

So what's hard about a piccolo. It's a double shot ristretto, in a short black cup, with steamed milk. Say it's a tiny latte.

What I find it hard, is Columbus is about coffee, it's called Colombus coffee. Why can't they make something as simple as a piccolo. Why don't they know the term ristretto?

Other than my rant about the coffee, the food is good, it's easy and fast. I also get to Shop at mitre 10 after my breakfast for stuff I don't need.

I've had lunch here a few times now and it's always been a happy experience. The food is always fresh, tasty and fulfilling and the coffee is always good. Serving staff are generally helpful, happy and efficient. This Saturday I tried their chicken fougasse which left me very satisfied. It was packed full of goodies. I appreciated the accompanying small bowl of chutney which went very well with it. I then had a latte and a cronut. The latte was faultless and the cronut was totally decadent and delicious. My only disappointment was that the cafe was a bit noisy - they needed to turn down their music since it was making everyone yell above it. Normally I visit during the week and its pretty quiet.
