Review Kfc - New Lynn

They’ve done so well from the last time I visited. Super clean, service is excellent and food was delicious and cooked to perfection.

The lady at the counter was very combative when getting my order wrong. But it wasn't just me, she was arguing with three other customers over their separate orders.

Went to drive through at around 4 pm on 14th August. Ordered 8 pcs wings zinger combo 2 pcs quarter pack supercharger slider and paid for it. But the supercharger slider and 5 wings were missing. This is not the first time things were missing in the order last time I had a zinger burger missing. Probably won't visit again.

Very friendly staff, clean toilets and tables. The service was excellent and food was fresh.

Never eaten in only drive though it's good my local store also had delivery now was good big price difference with delivery won't get again.

Best KFC around West Auckland. Hot and crispy chicken and fresh fries.

Went through the drive thru at 29 August at 17.34..The person who took my order agreed that i could change the chips and drinks for 2 large coleslaws in the Jumbo bucket at no charge.. I have done this before when i walked into the store a few weeks ago.. Then they tried to make me pay for the chips and the coleslaw after saying i didnt have to.. The potato and gravy was mostly runny gravy and hardly any potato.. The lady at the pay window was being totally absurd about opening and closing my car window.. She wore a mask so i couldnt see the big deal about it.. When i tried to talk to a lady that came out to talk about my order, i couldnt hear her through the window and so i had to pay the extra money after already having agreed to swapping some of my order.. What a stressful ordeal.. Ill never go back through the drive thru and wont recomnend that any of my family and friends should go through the drive thru either.. Totally disappointed with all the staff there.. Totally ridiculous..

Ordered a classic meal and got 4 drum sticks, 3 thighs, 2 wings and 1 breast. That deserves a round of applause.

Got my order within 5 minutes, chips are fresh, & seasoned well! So good

I changed a potato gravy to a chips by adding 50 cent but they still gave me a potato gravy. They don't answer the phone call as well!

Interesting experience tonight, half our order was missing, we were told to drive25 mins back and pick the rest of the meal up, really? Never again KFC Mew Lynn

Bestie and I came in here for a quick lunch when we were around New lynn the other week and were happy with the twisters and potato n gravy we ordered. The food was given to us within about 5 minutes and was very happy by it. Then the staff straight away told us about their offer of how we could get a free drink. Was so happy with the service and food but not some where i’d eat on the daily x

Can agree with others with the quality of the chicken. Doesnt taste anything like kfc sometimes and it does have this burnt oil taste to it. If you go drive through they always forget something. 3 times in a tow wasnt given any spoon. Either give it to us on first window with the coleslaw or with the gravy at 2nd window. So hard to coordinate something as easy as putting spoons in the bag

The staff is not honest at all. On the 21st March I ordered 8 wicked wings by drive through, however I counted at home and there were only 7. Yesterday(30th March) around 10 pm, I ordered 12 wings by drive through again, I counted the wings in front their face, and found this time only 10 wings! No apologies, very disappointed attitude. This is not the single time for this branch and I don’t know how many customers have get this. I don’t know whether the staff are doing this to the drive through customers on purpose because they know people just may not check everything(such as count exactly how many wings) before they drive away. Besides, the quality of food is under the average. Very bad experience, not worth at all, definitely never come back.

Something is just not right about the legendary KFC taste at this place. Chicken is either over cooked or you get that burnt oil taste from the crispy skin. Service is ok.

Bad service, messy tables, sometimes they run out of chicken and would never inform anyone in the drive thru who have no idea that they’re out of chicken... At least consider closing or put up a sign that lets everyone know that the chicken is out of stock... No point of emailing head office as you only receive a voucher which is ridiculous as most complaints we had made we always received a voucher. Get someone to this store!

Sometimes they get it sometimes (more often) they don’t. Have had multiple incorrect orders, the chicken being overwhelmingly undersized, have had to wait ridiculously long zzzzzz... and tonnes of plastic: bags, spoons: stuff my family doesn’t need! Puts me off coming back.

This KFC is under new Management again. The old staff were always so polite  courteous and friendly.I would go here daily. My first visit with new staff....I wont be back staff are so rude! Order wrong that bit was ok but treated like I was in the wrong for returning order! Was treated so rudely! No manners dont expect thankyou or please or any other common courtesy. Cant recommend, go to another branch.

This KFC probably is the worst in all of Auckland. I’ve ordered here through the drive thru a lot of times throughout the years and EVERY SINGLE TIME they always seem to get my order wrong. There’s not been a single time where they get my order right, I doubt that the workers are even paying attention when taking orders. So overall service is 0/5 and food is a 1.5/5. It’s worth taking the trip to another KFC branch.

Tables full of rubbish, had one old man drinking wine, not a good look with children in the eating area.Staff seemed to turn a blind eye to the fact. Com'n kfc new Lynn sharpen up. <br/>

The counter staff have no idea what is even on there menu. I waited 20 minutes for my food. Went to sit down and the restaurant was dirty, no tables wiped down. Bins over flowing, with chicken bones everywhere split drinks on the floor and on the tables. But yet there are staff outside on there phones.. like there is no care given

Ordered 12 wicked wings, smoky bacon burger, coleslaw and potato gravy last night. They gave me two coleslaw instead of gravy. Fortunately I checked before I left the drive through, so I got it exchanged.<br/><br/>Burger and wicked wings were good but this ridiculous gravy without potato ruined the whole experience. A gravy without potato? Seriously? <br/><br/>

Just grabbed some Krushers after lunch and loved it as always. The Krushers were on point as usual. Well blended and full of flavour.<br/><br/>Service was friendly and fast despite the lunch rush.

The location is good. The customer service is good . However I went here on a Friday evening. We ordered the bucket and it was a takeaway. After having some drumsticks, we found blood in the meat.

Ordered a tower burger from the drive thru and found out they gave me another burger with just chicken and salad. Service was very slow also. Not happy especially after paying $30 for two meals and won't be coming back here anymore. Check your order before leaving as it seems these muck ups are quite common here from other reviews.

Whilst it is dirty and the queues are always long. But, KFC is every fat man's dream and how great a gift was it for the colonel to have given us this blessing. A constant reminder of man's love for fried chicken and every time I drive by I order another bucket to go. KFC isn't just food, it's life.

Food is okay. KFC recipe is always good.<br/>However, this is One of the worse KFC juctions. <br/>The place is not very clean. Flies. And bird poop in the place. Seems like the staff didnt care.

Even below 1... food was good but It is not the only thing a place needs. The service is very bad. They dont know how to speak to customers. They missed out some stuff and we went to ask for that and The guy named MARK literally shouted for no reason. Which is the worst way to treat a customer. Really bad experience. Never recommend anyone to go there.

This KFC is a lot more cleaner than the others in nearby areas. The food is pretty much the same, nice and tasty. I remember on the news that the 11 secret herbs and spices are revealed, which is not even real because no one will ever know the real KFC secret until you find a time machine and travel back in Sanders days, then you'll taste the real deal.

I feel like I only write bad reviews for fast food chains so I want to break this tradition with a positive one.<br/><br/>New Lynn KFC hands down has the best quality chicken, always fresh and flavourful. Wicked wings are bomb too. Service is usually sub par but today was outstanding.<br/><br/>We went through the drive thru, drove to a spot to have a quick bite and noticed we were short 2 pieces, we drove back but went inside and waited. There was one man on the till and one had just packed a large box (those super massive party ones) and handed it to a woman but then offered to walk it to her car (such a nice gesture!). When he came back we told him what happened and he sorted this out right away and even gave us some extra fries for the inconvenience. No sweat. Great service!

WARNING had visited KFC New Lynn before heading into work(CBD) today 7/06/16 10-10:15am drive-through made my order of a Snack lunch which was disappointing in every way my drink was raspberry or so I thought? it was water with a foul after taste my Snack burger was accompanied by lettuce that was not fresh(green) but brown which turned me right off I wasn't going to eat it. I'm so angry and would have delivered it right back to KFC New Lynn if I wasn't heading into work and asking for my $ back as it was that bad, but our office bin will have to do, I hope the make over the restaurant is getting extends to the staff as well as the quality of the food!!

Take my damn money and give me my bucket of wicked wings. KFC have mastered the art of blocking arteries and if you lack self control you too will fall victim to their finger-lickin' chicken goodness

Hit and miss. Not reliable to be either fast food or quality..... but yet I still keep going back. Still love the taste. Went there the other day and there was a power cut. Didn't realize till I was waiting in a que in drive thru. When I got to the window the guy explained. I told him he should put a car or cones to block the drove thru - there were a constant que of people. I then drove to new lynn McDonald's. Turned out they also didn't have power. BUT they had cones across drive thru. A lot more professional setup

I had some fried chicken here and it was extremely oily and soggy. I realize that KFC can be a hit &miss sometimes but this has happened one too many times. I've been to the KFC in lynfield and it was exceptional. The place was quite unhygienic as well.

We all know dirty old K Fry can be hit & miss sometimes. They can be a sloppy by throwing the burgers together, forget a spoon for your potato n' gravy, over or under salt the chips and give you a regular drink that is the size of McDonalds kids drink. Thankfully this time they didn't screw up at all and I went away feeling disgustingly satisfied after a few beers. An observation about New Lynn KFC is that the drive thru always seems to be 5-10 cars deep. If I was the colonel, I'd consider opening another outlet nearby.

Went there this morning, the retaurant was absolutely filthy! Had a discusting sour smell throughout the retaurant. Overheard one of the workers asking another if they should serve me or not. Then she tips my fries in the bag upside down so they all fell out. Discusting!!

Filthy. Slow. Just no urgency among the workers and no apology for how slow they were taking. Hair found in wingers bag. No gloves been worn. Disguisting.

After the demise of KFC Mt Roskill, New Lynn has taken the title of worst outlet in Auckland - still falling short of the lows reached by the Thames store. <br/>Overly greasy chicken , unflavored cold chips and extremely long wait times make this store a definite no go when passing through

It's KFC, what more do you need to know? When ya feel like fried chicken, ya feel like fried chicken. Greasy goodness that helps battle emo days...for all but 10mins ??

From personal experience, this is by far the best kfc in Auckland. We are a big fan of fried chicken and have found that in other places, there is no consistency whereas New Lynn branch always deliver the same quality everytime. The place is not so clean and always greasy but this didn't bother me as I always got the kfc to take home. The staff are quite patient and polite for a fast food restaurant and they are always so generous with your order. People need to realise that at the end of the day, this is a fast food chain that sells fried chicken so stop complaining about "service" and the greasyness!!

this kfc chicken is very dry  and tasteless it must have been in the warmer for a while. previous meals had not been cleared away gum under the tables drink spilled on chairs. staff are very disinterested it put me off my lunch very dissapointing !!!!!  will not be back

Food:- 90% of the time we receive dry, overcooked chicken. We go in for lunch, so I don't understand why the chicken would be dry at this time? Skin and topping only just barely coats the chicken.<br/><br/>Service:- Customer service is what you would expect from any fastfood outlet. They Look bored and tired and automated.<br/><br/>Interior:- Great, not liking the line set up, blocks people trying to take their order to their tables. Really narrow.<br/><br/>Outside setting great as well. Love the booths. <br/><br/>Hygiene:- New Lynn KFC is the worse KFC outlet in NZ. Having made the a sensational splash on tv and newspaper for their unsavory hygiene methods. To date this has not changed, despite the fact they were ordered by council to do a deep clean of their restaurant, which they failed to maintain to this day. Filthy tables, chairs and gum underneath the tables. Little pride is taken to ensure the health of it's customers.
