Review Table Restaurant - New Plymouth

We came here for an early dinner. Service was polite, and the food arrived extremely quickly. The eye fillet and duck were perfectly cooked, and the dishes were very delicious. Would highly recommend the banoffee pie cocktail if you've got a sweet tooth.

A very good experience. The service was warm and friendly, if missing some of the detail I'd expect for a restaurant of this standing - in fairness, it was a busy night with a large group present.

Ponder brothers from Table Restaurant at Nice Boutique Hotel - celebrity team that Taranaki should be proud to have. Their cooking is refined, precise and inventive. Using techniques from the most popular international chefs, they deliver unforgettable experience, where food is an object of lust, status and imagination. Ceviche with citrus pearls resembled black caviar was a very elegant taster. Lasagna with kawakawa leaves demonstrated what real fusion kiwi cuisine is. Lamb ragout melted in the mouth like a dew drop on sunny morning. The owner Terry Parkes came for a chat and it was nice.

Awesome place in the Central hub of N.P with a outside dining and garden experience like no other.With a huge outside heating for those days when u might feel a bit chilly the smells coming from the kitchen full the air a great ambience and fine art inside . Top marks to the great food and friendly staff... 5 out a 5

Nice fine dining in a boutique hotel. Cozy atmosphere and so peaceful, even though in middle of town. Parking should not be an issue. Very prepared meals. Although Auckland prices. Well stocked bar. The 3 dessert options were not my types. All in all, a good place to celebrate an occasion.

Hubby booked this as a birthday surprise. We stayed in the St Mary's room which was a delight, very comfy bed, beautiful room and loved it. We also dined in the restaurant. The starters were delicious, we had the prawns and cauliflower. Mains was steak for the hubby which he enjoyed but sadly my crispy pork belly was sadly lacking...was gelatinous not crispy hardly any meat on it all rubbery fat.....and the orange smear of kumara all round the bowl didn't do it any favors. Couldn't fault the service, which was exceptional

We ordered a 4 course tasting menu dinner. Every meal was a surprise and a small portion of each. It was amazingly tasty,well presented and well timed between each course. But may not recommended if you are hungry and want a full dinner with dessert. It is really tasting only. Wonderful evening and atmosphere.

Fantastic meal, the snapper was melt in the mouth, great cocktail bar, chocolate martini a must try, music perfect and staff very friendly, can’t wait to go again

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights while there for the tattoo and art festival, arrived Friday and was showed to our room which was super cute...went down a couple hours later to book dinner and told we couldn't use any part of the restaurant,garden or bar because it was hired out for a function, well that function had a live band that screamed into a very loud microphone along with the booming music until midnight..if we knew this was happening we never would have stayed here..nice rooms but definitely not worth $250 per night to be trapped in your rather small hotel room because the rest of it is for a private function.. when we asked if we would be discounted for that we were told no and instead got 4 free slices of toast and a pot of tea.super disappointed that we had no use of anything Friday night and they also gave us a park then gave it to someone else so we had no place to leave the car...feel a little bit ripped off and wouldn't stay again.

Without a doubt the best place in Taranaki! Food is divine, service is paramount and everyone is fabulous, friendly and fun! Put this on your list of 'must do' places for wining and dining <3

5 of us dined here Tuesday gone and all of us enjoyd it the food was amazing along with the surroundings was beautiful the service was excellent could of spent more on drinks if we was served faster I had to get there attention every time I needed a drink apart from that I recommend to everyone

Best place to stay at in New Plymouth, if not New Zealand.. Totally stunning decor, lovely staff and the owner Terry Parkes is a true professional. Everyone is entertaining and look after us very well at this amazing Hotel.

What a grand old lady!! I have dined in this lovely establishment 6 years ago before moving to Perth and again last night for my birthday celebration. The food was exquisite and service outstanding. All staff including owner Terry Parkes were very welcoming and attentive. I will definitely return for another intimate evening. Thank you once again.

Such a quaint place to stay with excellent service, superb food, unique art work on display, gorgeous rooms with luxurious bedding and furnishings, handy location.

Had a voucher given to us by our family for dinner bed and breakfast. Had an amazing dinner with friends and loved our room and the fact that we could eat on our private deck but still be part of the restaurant atmosphere ! A hidden gem that I would certainly recommend and we will definitely be back.

We had a lovely mini break at the Nice Hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly & helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated & extremely clean. Had some delicious cocktails at the bar before dinner. Perfect location for easy walk into town. Not far from the amazing new Len Lye centre. I totally recommend a visit! �

I was here yesterday with husband and i loved the ambience, service was awesome I am also from hospitality industry n i have never had this kind of service anywhere... Trio of lamb was good but the duck was really awesome... Will be back to try more... You guys made my night....

Awesome a lovely stay at nice hotel - we had the luxury package - were upgraded to a balcony room which was fantastic. Amazing meal in the restaurant - absolutely recommend for anyone wanting to get away from their children!

The Nice Hotel and Tables Restaurant are our families favourite place for great food, wine, hospitality and celebrations.

I was so impressed with the wonderful food cooked to perfection. The restaurant is just divinely decorated, so elegant and cosy. I highly recommend a visit here for a special night out. New Plymouths best restaurant I think
