Brunch at Elixir Cafe today. Service was excellent, slight wait on kai arriving, but they were really busy, so was to be expected. Well worth the wait, the Elixir Big Breakfast was definitely worth waiting for. Kāwhe, cappuccino with chocolate was well made and presented, and the peach berry smoothie was delicious 😋.
Well worth the visit, and highly recommend you do to.

The cafe met our expectations. It's a very busy cafe and very chill vibes.
Here is a breakdown of what we ate:
The chicken burger was nice and juice, and the fries were very nicely done.
Elixir big breakfast was also quite filling. The sausages were nice, and the eggs were done nicely.
Scrambled egg could have been done a bit better, but it was nice. I eat a lot more creamier scrambled eggs.

What a great place to eat and drink! Very tasty dishes, also a wide variety of gluten and dairy free menus. And the most friendly staff I‘ve met so far! 100% recommended!

Coffee is ok. Food portion size is way too big I think they should cut down by 40%. The pink light is a bit awkward more of a lounge style.

We tried this cafe for breakfast simply based on its Google reviews. It didn’t disappoint!! It’s very busy so I would suggest reserving a table. We had eggs with bacon and the serving was generous. The bacon is crispy and delicious and the table service is fast and friendly. You can sit on bench tables outside our tables inside. Best to park in the street behind $2 per hour.

Best breakfast I've had in a long time. I ordered the Elixir Big Breakfast. The food was absolutely amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. To drink I had a Hot Choclate which was also good. The staff here were very friendly and professional. Overall I would definitely come back and here and I would highly recommend it. I

A must try in New Plymouth. Amazing and friendly service. They truly went above and beyond. Katana, our server was especially amazing. We were a big group originally seated outside and they very hastily made room indoors for us as it was a bit chilly. You MUST have the mince on toast, it’s famous to the restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. Excellent value for the price, please don’t miss out!

A fantastic place for the need of great food, great coffee and the aroha that you can feel. It's a magical place where bad days suddenly be good ones when you sit down and absorb the atmosphere.
The staff are awesome and welcome you like an old friend. Their smiles are infectious.
The food is extraordinary good, when even a simple meal like mince on toast becomes an art form.
I appreciated the eggs Benedict with salmon, bacon, and their own house made hollandaise.
I certainly recommend coming here, even if it is just for a coffee and a slice of goodness. You will not regret it. 😀

Excellent customer service, very fast and super friendly, all the food was excellent, what else can I say, the "famous mince on toast" was sensational the mince was super tasty and some very big slices of beautiful toast, the French toast was spectacular and cooked beautifully, First decent sized coffee for the price range I've had in a while, even a very tasty fluffy for my boy. thank you very much

I had the mince on toast. Liked it a lot,
I don't normally choose this item and this was actually my first so I had no baseline to gauge it against.
I saw it was renowned so I thought 'why not'.
I like the ambience at 8 in the morning; intimate, warm, and relaxed-paced.
The portion was huge. It was 200g of very fresh-tasting well-seasoned mince served with pillow-soft slices of bread and some herbed oil on the side. The flavor was beefy, rich, tart, and herby. I will advice to order a side (like fried tomatoes or another egg) because it was a touch salty and needs something to mellow it out.

Genuinely friendly staff who all seemed to be enjoying themselves and fantastic food. The decor was super funky. Glad I ordered the half sized mince on toast, serving sizes are huge 😂

Popped in for lunch. Great range of options on menu,cabinet and special board. Fantastic friendly attentive staff. Great service, coffees and meals out promptly. The grilled cauliflower detox bowl was amazing and right up there with best lunch I’ve had this year. Could happily eat that every day! My partners meal also fabulous. Presentation was 11 out of 10 as was staff and service. You’re on to a winner Elixir. Didn’t have any today but their New York cheesecake is legendary.
