I had a delightful dinner at Joe's Garage! The garlic cheese flatbread was a mouthwatering start, and the JFC (Joe's Fried Chicken) was crispy and flavorful. I highly recommend trying the beef Thai salad and the flatbread. What truly stood out was the excellent service provided by their friendly staff. I'll definitely be returning for more!

Sunday 25th June 2023. Walked in today at 1500hrs. An unusual time to want a feed but I was road tripping it around the mountain and hadn't eaten since 0900hrs. Anyway the girls on duty were both courteous and accommodating. I needed to choose from the all day breakfast or lunch menu which I was fine with and therefore got the crumbled schnitzel, chips and gravy. And lemon lime & bitters. All was good and as I expected. Nice darkest gravy and a good crumb on the schnitzel. Id happily come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had the Steak and Schnitzel, excellent. Lovely, polite, clean staff. Gorgeously cooked meal. Clean environment. Good lighting, tables well spaced, nice to view the kitchen, love that!. Only negative, music was a little loud, one staff member not wearing a mask. Otherwise, lovely night out.

Very trendy venue, awesome food, beautifully presented. We had the eggs scrambled with extra bacon and the pikelets with syrup, banana and bacon... yum!!! Staff were excellent, freindly and efficient. Fair prices too!

First time visit, I'd be happy to come back. We were seated and our order was taken quickly, though the place was pretty well packed. The drinks were good and strong. The food was tasty without being complicated or pretentious. Good location in the middle of town. Reasonably priced.

Steak was very dry however the chicken burger was delicious. The margaritas were disgusting, we got a passion fruit margarita and a mango margarita and both were not very nice at all for $15 I expected a lot more! Customer service received from out waitress was not very good at all, we were there for over an hour and a half and not once did we see her smile not just at us, at anyone. We didn't even get asked about our meal, I feel she needs to rethink her job of choose as early she is not happy being a waitress at Joe's Garage!

Friendly staff, great dinner portions and tastes good too. Water is a self service but in a central and easy to access part of the restaurant, other than that no other complaints.

Just want to give a big shout out to Kirsty who was the Barista last Saturday(16 October) on our regular morning visit - who went above and beyond to ensure the misunderstanding over my deconstructed tea was efficiently sorted out - all done with smiles and apologies over a problem that wasn’t even of her making. Kirsty must also have a great memory as she seems to remember all the quirks we have with our orders - often up to 20+ of us 🤗 Also loved our meals there the other night 👍

Our meal smelled delicious and looked appetizing. The restaurant was ideal for taking my son and the décor is interesting. The service was good and the prices are also good. The place had a relaxed feel. This place also has outdoor seating which I like.

During a recent trip to New Plymouth we would have liked to have eaten here but after being brought two wrong orders by the waiting staff we walked out. Way too casual an attitude by the staff on duty.

We flew over from Melbourne since being away for a fair few years and this was a great kai staff were good as , we had the schnitzel x2 the gravy was epic good . Last time we had a few pizzas and was very happy with the service then . Thanks team Joes 👍🤙✌️

This place has the best solid pork belly, steak and pizza. Super hearty meals. We couldn't finish our meal we ended up taking it away. The salad that accompanied the pork belly was just devine. I took my Mum here for her birthday breakfast and we weren't disappointed. The quality and quantity is awesome. Love your food Joe!

Was disappointed to find that my first choice was unavailable. Was even more disappointed when my second and third choice were also unavailable. What kind of a restaurant does not make provision for the busy hoildays? Unimpressed. At least the seats were comfortable...

Open early morning in a sunday. Just got some take away coffee. Lovely staff and bar tender. Pub makes own wine - Pinot noir & Sav blanc and have 3 commercial beers on tap - speights etc. Food menu looked great even though we didn't eat anything. Feels like a great place to hang out for drinks at night.

Very standard Kiwi pub fare. Boring and ... not that well done. Oxtail pie was swimming in gravy and the chip serve was meagre. Caesar salad with chicken was good but it's hard to get too excited that they can bust out an okay Caesar. Wouldn't bother to go back.

We ordered the pork belly and oriental joe. The pork belly was okay overall. The meat didn't have a whole lot of glamour but the caramelized Apple was a nice touch and the crackling was on point! The oriental joe was enjoyable. The dressing had a nice kick to it and the flavour in the meat was very nice. Overall a nice place to eat at 👍🏼

I came here with friends while on holiday, we came on a Sunday and they had a 2-for-1 pizza deal going on. We got the Mafia & Portofino and also a Garlic Bread Pizza & Chips to share. Well, between 3 adults and 2 kids we took half the order home as we were all so satisfied and full! I also had a iced chocolate which was very decadent and the juices were delicious and real fruit not concentrated and watered down variety!

Had the pleasure of having lunch here while on an out of town holiday. Enjoyed the garage themed atmosphere. We were greeted hospitably by a well mannered host. The menu looked great and so too did the meals we had ordered. Very tasty and satisfying experience. Ka pai hoki Joe's Garage :)

Went out to dinner here on a Wednesday night. While the food was tasty their customer service was poor. Staff didn't check how the meal was going or ask if we wanted more drinks and when we went to them to ask for drinks they took 10 minutes just to return and tell us they'd run out of wine glasses. Love this place, a regular meeting and eating spot for my friends and I. Cannot fault the food and is an excellent price for what you get. One criticism I will add is the waitresses could improve by coming over and asking how everything is going more often, rather than handing over the food and giving customers no more attention for the rest of the night. I like to have my drink topped up or asking for extra sauce without yelling across the restaurant or having to go up and ask. Other than that, awesome place and I HIGHLY recommend!

Wow this place is amazing, the staff are all brilliant -cant do enough to make you feel welcome. This is my go to place now for good food and service. Can I just say the pizzas are OMG yum! sure you need a big table just to accommodate it but it is SO worth it.The people I was with enjoyed their meals, only the meat patty on a burger was mentioned as being dry however this being said the service and décor out weigh this one negative comment. I would go back again and again really cant say enough good things about it. Joes Garage New Plymouth team keep up the fantastic work!

husband and I had breakfast there last 4th Jan 2014...they had one of the most nicest, creamiest flat white and moccachino we've ever had...and breakfast was awesome!..we had egg bene all freshly cooked..good portion. All in all service is friendly just fantastic..so if anyone wants to have a nice breakfast or just a cup of coffee...go to joe's and you won't regret it...will definetly go back..

So pleased that Joes have opened in New Plymouth. The food is soooooo good and very tasty and a brilliant menu. Had a late lunch and the food was as usual very nice and cooked well. ALL the staff were very friendly. Great coffee and when I am back in town will return to try something else that is the hard part...choosing the range is all tempting. Well done team.

Love this place had a burger one night which was cooked to perfection and then since been in for a slice or scone everyday. Always a different flavor of scone and all yummy. coffee is brilliant as are the staff even though I was on a course and didn't bring the kids I saw families having a really nice time at night with coloring sheets for the kids. But the place is big so if you didn't have kids then you wouldn't notice them.

Have to say this the best service ever. Found the Caesar Salad so so and needed more dressing but everything else was delicioso and everyone enjoyed they meal and coffee. Outstanding service, such a joy to be treated with respect as a customer and not feel like you are being a burden. Staff are friendly and on to it. One guy especially is amazing! Thanks.

Had lunch here 10 days before Christmas, & even though they were really busy, with almost every table occupied, the service was still fast, friendly & attentive. Food was so tasty, with plenty of variety on the menu. Will definitely be back again

Went here for breakfast last week when I was in NP for business and ordered the porridge which was delicious! I also had the best service I have had in a long time from a young male waiter, he was so friendly and came back many times to check if I was fine with everything. Definitely going back!!!
