Review Treehouse Bar & Bistro - New Plymouth

Business lunch at Treehouse Bar and Bistro with three other likeminded women. The food was nutritious and abundant. My choice of glazed pork ribs won most wows. And I have to take some of them with me to share with my family. Planning to bring my meat eating males here to enjoy the ribs on their own.

Food was delicious,best steak and guiness pie, I've ever had, super fresh and amazing pastry. Outstanding service

Great food, tasty and plenty of it. Quick service and friendly people.

Great place with friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks. We struggled to find places to put our bikes but eventually secured some options. Noticed a scooter rider parking in the porch so presumably that's an option too.

Its selling a nice pint of Creamy (Guinness) for eneryone to enjoy..

Loved my meals here. As a group we have tried a few of the meals and they were delicious

My husband and I went to Treehouse on Friday night 9 Sept 2022. the food was absolutely fantastic. My husband ordered a medium steak and it was perfect . Your food are great as well as the vibe and the friendliness. it goes a long way. We will be back. Keep up the good work.

Totally recommend this place. Was warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and the food was great. My steak was cooked perfectly, the portion size of my meal was just right and the ambrosia cheesecake was delicious. I would definitely come back the next time I visit New Plymouth.

Absolutely the very worst brunch meal I have ever had. I went here with a friend and I had "Smashed avocado on Ciabatta". Who cooks  a tasteless avocado mash (why would anyone cook Avocado?) , serves it cold and smothered in balsamic vinegar? It was disgusting, and along with the complete lack of any redeeming atmosphere (pokies sounding in background, unpleasant pub smells, heavy metal music and no other people eating DERRR - that should have been a clue), made for a really unpleasant experience. My friend's company was the only thing I enjoyed.

I've been here several time over the last couple of years for the likes of work functions and bingo. The treehouse makes for an amazing venue! I however actually decided to dine here properly tonight. The cheesy garlic bread was amazing 👌 unfortunately the pork dish I ordered was overly dry and bland plus the added cracking was so tough that you could be heard a mile away trying to eat it. I have to give them extra points as when I returned my food to the kitchen I was offered compensation and was asked what I thought should be done to rectify the situation. I ended up with a partial refund and another dish of my choice.

Have some good weekend lunches here catching up with friends over a couple of drinks. I'm not much for cake or dessert but theirs are made on the premises and are very nice. Good Pub food, some large servings. Mussels were great and burgers also

Very disappointing evening for Mothers Day last night.<br/>The waitress who served our table, had no personality. She didnt talk, she was wearing short shorts, didnt smile, and dropped about a dozen plates.<br/>Bread platter was nice, 3 different types of bread served with Pesto and Oil &amp; Dukka.<br/>Mains were of an average size. My Father brought the fish of the day and it was very bland and tasteless, and served on a childs size plate.<br/>My mother ordered the Mothers Day Pork Special, again served on a childs size plate. She only ate half of her meal as the vegetables were cold and potatoes were to over cooked.<br/>I had the steak, cooked to perfection! Extremely shocked that I payed $32 and was served packaged frozen vegetable. You'd think for that price you would get some nice fresh vegies that were atleast cooked properly and warm!!<br/><br/>I presume there must be a different chef now, as the menu has changed significantly and the standard of food has dropped a lot. I used to enjoy the food at Tree House as they were always big hearty meals. <br/><br/>I will definitely just be sticking to using the bar there from now on! <br/><br/>Last note: Your waitresses and bar girls need to cover up and dress appropiately.

Excellent value for money - Steaks are cooked to perfection and desserts are hand made - I can highly recommend the Kahlua cheesecake.<br/><br/>Family atmosphere, great service. A wonderful place for that special taste of Taradise (Taranaki)<br/><br/>Leigh :)
