Review The White Pear Cafe - New Plymouth

Loved every minute of our brief visit. Certainly warmer in here than outside on a windy July day! Keep up your good work 👏

Tucked away almost out of sight in Bell Block, but we'll worth discovering, if my coffee is any guide. That's all I bought, but on a quiet Saturday morning it was humming, with steady stream of customers, some clearly well known regulars. The coffee was excellent. Well extracted and milk perfectly stretched, and temperature just right. The cabinet food looks excellent, but I was only looking for a coffee. Next time I'll arrive not having just had breakfast!

Good place to have a bite and coffee while waiting for your laundry to finish 😀... Or just to enjoy the food while reading or even colouring 😁

Smoked salmon cheese cream pie was fabulous, I have been looking for a good pie for myself, so I found it. Mocha was smooth, silky, best cafe in Bell Block.

Good coffee but couldn't have a mug because they were closing in 22 minutes, takeaway cup only only, ah well.

Came here on a bike ride from city center along the bike track. Good spot for a quick bite, lots of choices on the menu and a cabinet selection. Nice staff and food ok, not the.most attractive place right in the car park, but it's fine overall.

Service was quick and snappy even though they said it would be slow. The eggs bene is a tasty well executed morsel, worth every cent at $22.50 Stop selling frozen carrot cake. Good Carrot cake keeps for at least a week without freezing it and it loses something when frozen, sell it fresh and you'll have the best carrot cake in the country. Would have been 5 stars, the carrot cake reduced one. I totally recommend this cafe, better than most, but get a cheesecake.

Brilliant service, complemented by food! And great coffee. I go out of my way to come to this lovely cafe! Worth every penny and every bite!

Editing review, Oct 22: I'm glad I came back a second time as this is now my favorite cafe. Been about 6x now, coffee is always perfect, the keto range is incredible and everyone I take with me is also always pleased with their orders. Keep up the good work team! Food was nice enough, coffee was fine, wobbly tables and small premises. Toilets were out of order not ideal for the older customers (of which there were many). Would probably still stop in again if I was nearby.

I visited The White Pear Cafe during a busy lunch time. I was meeting a friend for coffee. The cafe was busy and had a bubbly atmosphere. Looks like a nice place to have a catchup. It is situated in Bell Block within an open shopping center with easy and ample parking. Easy to nip into and out in a jiff. Will be visiting again.
