My Son and I were pleasantly welcomed in and shown how they operated. We chose then went to pay, embarrassed to say but my card declined. The man smiled at me and said you can have it. The kindness outstanding, I returned to pay he tried to say its ok to me. I paid cos I didn't want to take advantage of him. I'm from Gisborne not New Plymouth and I totally recommend this place as their food is delicious too.

Best sushi shop in New Plymouth. Their hot food menu is also great to try out. You can easily see the quality of their ingredients are at the top class. Sushi are all fresh and tasty. Must-go.

So so. Owned by Koreans instead of Japanese. I bought sushi pieces ended up paying over $9. Hmm.. little expensive than average pricing but its sushi. Taste wise, so so. I wont go back again unless Ive got some severe cravings for sushi.

I love pick n mix Sushi. I also love that you get to put on as much or as little ginger, wasabi, mayo, etc as you desire. New Plymouth is has sure stepped up from when I was a kid!

This is my favourite sushi place. Whenever I'm back in town I drop in for lunch. Good is varied and always fresh. It's great being able to get your own ginger and wasabi too so you get as much or little as you want. The friendliest staff you could imagine.

Absolutely, hands down, number 1 sushi takeout in town! Puts the other few to shame. Almost like being in Japan. Non of that " made for kiwis" BS! Hope this place stays in business and keeps up the standard. When we go to town for Sushi, Momo is our only stop!

I had a serious sushi craving and got recommended to go to Momo Sushi. My cravings have been fully satisfied, the atmosphere and staff was very friendly and the sushi to die for! New flavours and combinations I had never tried before made it so memorable. I will be going back every week. Tastes sooo good.

Wow! I love Momo Sushi. The food is always fresh, well presented and absolutely yummy. The restaurant is always very clean and staff extremely friendly. I have only had takeout so cannot comment on seating arrangements but that is not important to me anyway because the food is so excellent. A pity they aren't open on the weekends though!

The sushi at Momo is excellent with always fresh and changing selections, lots of vegetarian options and non-raw fish if your not into that stuff. Plenty of ginger and wasabi to mix as you like it. Pick and mix sushi is a great idea and reasonablly priced. Tables a little uncomfortable and in the way, could have some counter tops and benches to eat at, best to make a take away box and sit outside.

Great selection of Sushi dishes at reasonable prices up to $2.50 available at lunchtimes. Just pick up a plate or takeout container and select as much as you like, then pay at the end of the line. Also cooked dishes available to order. Food is fresh, very nicely prepared and presented, tasy and healthy too. Go easy on the wasabi! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Has a lunchtime rush at about 12:10 every weekday, but most customers are taking out, so can usually get a seat. Veggies well catered for too. Try it, you'll love it!
