Everything was way better than expected!! Not really a Mexican food fan but now fully converted to the cause!! Amazing customer experience!! Out standing service!! And the art work!! Amazing!!.. And to top it off the Food is out of this world!! 10 points for the win team!!

Delicious! The Naked Burrito with chicken was wonderful with a lovely mix of flavors. The mild was still slightly hot for my sensitive wee tastebuds, but the sour cream evened it out 👍😀 Lovely service ladies ❤️ Would definitely recommend a try if you haven't already discovered this gem 💖

Excellent food sharp price fast Service. I consider it to be well cleaned. Friendly helpfull staff. Good sized portions. Fast service. Cooked and salads are pretty authentic not made to feed the local fish and chip frenzy. This is good healthy food cooked with love. So it taste good.

I just went here for the first time today, I had driven past numerous times and today decided to give it a go. Best choice I could have made. The food is fantastic, Full of flavour. And the staff are lovely. I will definitely be back regularly to fully try out the menu.

I had my first experience at Tesoro a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious! Food was fresh and great friendly staff. Food was on time which is important to me when I pre-order meals. Mexican cola was delicious... not great for my diet but delicious none-the-less. In fact, we are going to get some again tonight :) Highly Recommended.

Quiet and out of the mainstream. Friendly staff, well priced, good quality Mexican food - small menu, though we'll delivered and tasty. I've been back every time I visit New Plymouth. Love it!

This was the best Mexican food I've had since leaving the United States! All of the places I had Mexican food in Australia and New Zealand had their seasonings way off, more like Indian food. This was spot on for TexMex. I would recommend the taco salad; everything you want in an amazing crispy tortilla bowl! Beware of wanting to eat in the restaurant because there's only one table.

We are two bereft Angelenos that have been searching for a decent burrito for a year...and finally we've found one! Thank you for making me feel just a little less homesick (and a lot more full!)

Best fresh tex mex I’ve ever had in my life!! Loveliest owners & great atmosphere in the store. Would definitely recommend to all, in particular anything with pulled pork, prawn tacos & the chipotle is AMAZING & the jarritos Mexican cola 🤤😍

Such an awesome place to visit for fast friendly great service, with food to die for!!!.. one of the best places to eat in new plymouth, let alone new zealamd.. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good feed and great fast service. Definetly be back!!

My go-to Mexican place! Thee best Mexican in town, hands down! If you haven't tried it, DO IT! You wont regret it :) Friendly service and delish food, 10/10!

I love this place!!! Its so amazing that i have had it 3 times already in my 2 weeks stay and the people in the restaurant are very nice.

Took a while but...WORTH the wait. Super fresh and made with care. Had 2 enchiladas that were yum with salad.

Loved our food. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos and sadly when I picked them up they were stone cold , and had way too much raw cabbage in them and not much fish at all :(

Best takeaway in new plymouth, always fresh an yummy with heaps of flavour. Highly recommended to the people of new plymouth! Mix of california and mexican, perfect for summer to take down the beach! Highly recommend shredded beef so tasty and melts in your mouth. Keep it up!

Love this place and the food. But disappointing when you turn up on opening time and there is no shredded beef, avo and didnt get the rice in our salad and im guessing its because it wasnt ready because i saw the girl try it and put in on for longer. This was not mentioned to us and we still payed full price. A little annoyed! Wouldnt have been hard to explain this to us and offered to add something else extra instead. While waiting another customer also entered the store and it took atleast 5min for someone to even say hello. Not good service if you ask me. Not sure i will return

We get dinner from Tesoro at least once a week. The food is beautiful and fresh and packed full of amazing flavours. I usually get the salad and it is the perfect size and the price is completely reasonable and the service is great!

A charming little cubby hidden just outside the main centre of the main street, Tesoro provides the New Plymouth public with a great range of Mexican food and outstanding service. Reyse and the girls provide excellent customer services and demonstrate professionalism and entrepreneurship beyond their years.<br/><br/>There is easy parking; a big, bold and easy to navigate menu and to say the food is amazing would be an understatement. I also appreciate the amount of delicious food I receive, for the amount of money I pay. <br/><br/>I eat Tesoro once, if not twice a week and it is the number one spot I suggest when meeting up with friends for lunch. This is a highly recommended little spot for lunch at the shop, or on the go to the beach which is less than 1km away.

My favorite take-away! Good to call ahead during busy times. I've tried it all and love it all, but since I usually eat vegetarian my favorite is a vege taco or burrito. I appreciate the fish is fresh, the sauces are authentic and delicious--not sweet, and the chips are fried on the spot. Sound like Kelly had a bad experience which is a shame, but overpriced and even comparing to Old El Paso are the last things I'd say about this place!

Stumbled across this place by accident whilst looking for a listing for a kebab shop.<br/><br/>So glad I did. Had the barbacoa beef salad in a fried tortilla. The beef was absolutely amazing. Melt in the mouth, moist and full of flavour. <br/><br/>Will definitely be going back for more!
