Review Claw Mountain Restaurant - North Shore

Airy comfortable restaurant. Was quiet on the night we went but that was to our advantage to be honest. Seafood chowder was excellent as were my wife's scallops. I had the Alaskan crab legs as a main and as expected they had been frozen. Not cheap, but neither is local crayfish and they weren't stingy. Given the choice I would opt for fresh local produce but I wanted to try it out and was happy with my meal. Just be aware that it is a frozen product and the end result shows that. The star of the evening was my wifes steak. Absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. It is this in particular that resulted in the good rating. Next time it will be the steak for me too.

The staff were very attentive and pleasant, the manager particularly. The food was amazing, great flavors, all of the meats were cooked perfectly. I finished off with the bannana in the filo pastry was absolutely extraordinary, the filo pastry was made in house and cooked fresh. I am very impressed as a first visit to this restaurant and I will be dining there again.

Claw mountain restaurant is exceptional. Food is perfect and properly prepared. The salmon and the lamb is definitely worth the experience. Service was awesome and the manager was very accommodating. Will be back definitely!

New in Albany, does seafood as well as meat dishes. Highlight is their Alaskan crab claws for two. They also do platters. Bright airy place with glass frontage.

We ordered crispy skin salmon and steak. Both meals were good, will be back to try others on their menu...hope they will renew their menu so can have more options as not really much option available on their current menu.

An awesome new restaurant in Albany/Oteha Valley :) Clean, modern atmosphere & friendly staff. We just went for deserts this time but would love to go for dinner next time!

Wait staff were just lovely but someone is letting the team down. We ordered and found that three or four different things on the menu had sold out. It wasn’t a busy night in the restaurant so someone hadn’t ordered the correct amount of supplies. We found it very strange that they would run out of duck fat chips. The food was average three of our party ordered steak and it was way over cooked from what they had requested. Hate to see a new restaurant fail but sadly if it’s run this way it won’t be in business for long.

No chicken. No duck fat. No crab. No thank you. <br/>We were not greeted by the one staff upon entry. The food was bland and very overpriced and the waitress did not check on us or refill our waters. She not only was rough with service, but also with the way she gave us our plates and glasses. We literally had to bring our dirty plates up to her. The neighbouring tables were left dirty which ruined the diner’s experience and ambience. The music was barely audible 2000s pop with sky sports dart competitions on the TV. Overall, there was a discrepancy between the way the restaurant looked and the vibe of the place; atmosphere did not suit the decor. <br/>Claw Mountain, more like Snore Mountain.

It was nice place for diner:) staff was kind;) i had chowder for start and had beef tornado and seafood platter for main:) it was great. I would take some friends here as well.

One word for the meal we had at Claw Mountain and that word is Epic!!! We had the mussels and chowder followed by the meat platter and a side of veges, I cannot fault any of our meal, awesome decor and feel to the place! We will definitely be back!

Second time to Claw mountain tonight, and we rate it. Will be back again. We had the king crab, meat platter and of course the kids nuggets and chips tonight! Also a really nice passionfruit cocktail which was 👌🏽👌🏽 Service is always great!!

Cheap looking decor, rude unprofessional staff, scruffy chefs that walk through the restaurant and smoke outside the entrance, duck fat chips were soggy and expensive for what they were, sea food platter was under cooked (no colour on scallops or prawns) there was also no smoked salmon on the seafood platter as stated on the menu. Wine was expensive, only low alcohol wine at happy hour. Disappointed is an understatement, would rather have McDonald’s. Will never return.

Staying at the hotel next door and wanted somewhere close and Claw Mountain was it. Food was fabulous and staff so friendly - service excellent, great menu too.

The food was amazing. We had the meat plater which we can try bit of everything. The Cajun sauce matches well with the crab. My partner loves the decoration of the restaurant, will come back next time.
